Early detection of heart rate conditions in autistic children is crucial for anticipating tantrum reactions and providing prompt medical intervention. Previous research designed a prototype for acquiring Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals using the AD8232 sensor, but it required a long time to identify heart rate conditions. This study aims to develop the previous prototype using Internet of Things (IoT) implementation to acquire and identify the heart rate conditions of autistic children in real time. The ECG signal data is analyzed using Butterworth Filter and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) integrated into Raspberry Pi and results are transmitted to the Blynk App. Testing over 20 minutes showed that in the first 10 minutes, the system identified a normal heart rate at 105.19 BPM with 67% accuracy, while in the second 10 minutes, the heart rate rose to 117.19 BPM with tantrum symptoms and 75% accuracy. This system helps medical personnel provide immediate intervention during tantrums. © 2024 IEEE.

Metaheuristics are widely used in various fields due to their ability to solve complicated optimization problems. In acoustics, it is possible to apply metaheuristics to determine the optimal values of coefficients in empirical models of acoustic impedance. In this paper, different metaheuristic approaches (i.e. gray wolf optimization algorithm, marine predator algorithm, beluga whale optimization, sand cat swarm optimization) are presented for solving the above problem. They are based on different biological phenomena and with these methods no experience is required in determining the initial values of the variables as it is possible to set a wide range for the initial values of the variables. The applied methods provide a satisfactory prediction of the sound absorption coefficient of open-cell polyurethane foam, compared to the experimental results obtained in an impedance tube. The paper provides a comparative analysis of recent metaheuristics: gray wolf optimization algorithm, beluga whale optimization algorithm, marine predator algorithm and sand cat algorithm. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

In general, the acoustic effective length of the open end of an air column is longer than its geometric length. Here, the effective increment of the geometric length of an air column is called the open-end correction length, which is an acoustically crucial issue. The purpose of this study is to experimentally clarify the open-end correction length for a slit shape with a narrow clearance. For this reason, the sound absorption coefficient was measured using a sample in which the neck of the Helmholtz resonator was shaped as a slit with a narrow clearance. Next, the open-end correction length (i.e., mass end correction length and resistive end correction length) was calculated backward by comparing the experimental and theoretical sound absorption curves. The resistive end correction increased as the slit width became narrower within the range of 0.5 mm or less for both the center slit and the slit near the wall, indicating a significant discrepancy between the theoretical equation and the estimated value. For the mass end correction, in the case the center slit, the estimated value is close to the theoretical value of in the slit width range from 0.3 mm to 1.0 mm. The results of this study may be useful in eliminating discrepancies in correction values for open-end correction in slits with narrow clearance. © 2022 Institute of Noise Control engineering.

The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is widely utilized for accurate *** commonly applied method to obtain precise coordinate estimates is by implementing the relative positioning in network ***,this approach can be complex and ***,The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) offers freely available satellite orbit and clock correction products called Multi-GNSS Advanced Demonstration Tool for Orbit and Clock Analysis (MADOCA),which can enhance positioning accuracy through the precise point positioning (PPP) *** study focuses on evaluating PPP static mode positioning using MADOCA products and comparing the results with the highly precise relative positioning *** analyzing a network of 20 GNSS stations in Indonesia,we found that the PPP method using MADOCA products provided favorable positioning *** median discrepancies and the corresponding median absolute deviation (MAD) for easting,northing,and up components were estimated as 9±18 mm,10±9 mm,and 3±40 mm,*** results indicate that PPP with MADOCA products can be a reliable alternative for establishing Indonesia's horizontal control networks,particularly for orders 0,1,2,and 3,and for a broad spectrum of geoscience monitoring ***,considerations such as epoch transformations and seismic activities should be taken into account for accurate positioning applications that comply with the definition of the national reference framework.

This study investigates the effects of irradiation on the mechanical properties of dolomite-filled polypropylene (PP)/recycled polyethylene terephthalate (r-PET) composites across varying filler ratios. Composites with PP/r-PET ratios of 100/0, 90/10, 80/20, 70/30, and 60/40, each containing 3% dolomite, were subjected to irradiation doses of 0, 30, and 90 kGy. Tensile and impact tests, along with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for surface morphology analysis, were employed to investigate performance changes post-irradiation. It is expected that the composite with a 90/10 PP/r-PET ratio at a 30 kGy dose will demonstrate the highest tensile and impact strengths, while increased irradiation doses are predicted to reduce mechanical properties across other ratios. For raw PP, elongation at break is anticipated to reach its peak post-irradiation, with the 90 kGy dose likely yielding the highest Young’s modulus. Morphologically, non-irradiated samples are expected to exhibit fewer microcracks and retain greater structural integrity. Overall, the study aims to elucidate how irradiation influences the enhancement or reduction of mechanical properties in these composites, dependent on composition and irradiation dose. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The objective of this research is to design and develop an integrated landslide early detection system at Tower Number Eight, 150 kV Gianyar. The research is expected to result in the construction of a communication system based on LoRa technology that will serve to reduce the potential damage from landslides. In order to achieve this, several parameters must be considered as benchmarks. These include RSSI, SNR, BER and PDR. The device operates by monitoring changes in position, soil moisture and rainfall, and then transmitting the data via LoRa technology. At the sink, the data is recorded and monitored for RSSI, SNR, PDR and BER values. In the test, the source 1 node, situated 300 metres away, exhibited an RSSI value of -100 to -109 dBm and an SNR value of 6.75 to -6.7 in both sunny and rainy weather, with a PDR value of 100%. The source 2 node, situated 600 metres away, exhibited an RSSI value of -97 to -109 dBm and an SNR value of 8.5 to -11.75 dB, with a PDR value of 70 to 100%. It should be noted that the number of bits in the sensor data sent is always complete. This is evidenced by the bit error ratio (BER) value, which is always 0 on both source nodes. © 2024 IEEE.

Waste is a problem in almost every region, especially related to how the processing of waste can be converted into other forms as a form of energy that can be utilized, one of which is waste processing by pyrolysis is one of the technologies to convert waste into useful energy or fuel. At this time waste processing requires waste processing machines ranging from organic and un-organic waste shredding machines, briquette processing machines, pellets, using star-delta 3-phase motors, generally still conventional/manually. Current research, the author began to develop a waste and flue gas particle handling machine, a non-incinerator pyrolysis machine with the wet method, a high efficiency cyclone system which originally used a machine manually/ conventionally, replaced with a Delta series Star - Delta series with interlock and interface) automatically. Garbage processing The machine in addition to aiming to reduce waste waste, the machine must be made automatically and friendly to the operator who runs it. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of the performance of four bioinspired algorithms (Differential Evolution, Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm, Moth-flame Optimization, and Particle Swarm Optimization) in designing a flatness-based controller for a ball and beam system simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment. The assessment involves the tuning of feedback gains utilizing four distinct fitness functions: Integral Square Error, Integral Absolute Error, Integral Time Absolute Error, and an ad-hoc cost function. Hypothesis tests are employed to choose the optimal controllers from each combination for every bioinspired algorithm and a fitness function. Subsequently, a control performance analysis of these controllers for the ball and beam system is conducted, focusing on critical parameters such as overshoot, settling time, and steady-state error. This analysis demonstrates that all the controllers achieve a zero steady-state error. Noteworthy is the flatness-based controller tuned with the bioinspired Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm and utilizing the Integral Time Absolute Error fitness function, which stands out for achieving the fastest response with the lowest overshoot. This particular controller emerges as the most recommended choice for the specified application. © 2024 IEEE.

Coffee pulp is a potential source of biomass which abundantly available in coffee exporter countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia etc. It is necessary to develop technologies to convert coffee pulp into value-added products. This study aims to investigate the slow pyrolysis process of arabica coffee pulp in a pilot scale reactor and evaluate the properties of resulting biochar. Prior to pyrolysis experiment, some of coffee pulp were soaked in tap water for 20 h with a ratio of water to coffee pulps of 1:5. As comparison, another set of pyrolysis experiment was carried out without soaking and washing of feedstock. The pyrolysis process was carried out in a batch reactor at temperatures within the range of 400 to 420°C. During the run, the reaction temperature versus time was recorded and products yield were quantified. Characterization of biochar product was performed under proximate, bomb calorimeter and density analyses. The yield of biochar and pyrolytic oil, respectively were 33% and 36%. Biochar characterization results suggested a significant decrease in the ash content when washing pretreatment was applied. Increases in the calorific value and bulk density were also observed from pre-washed coffee pulp sample. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
