Burnout is a psychology syndrome which experienced by any professions throughout their careers. This study analyses burnout syndrome encountered by hospitals' nurses based on the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Service Survey (MBI-HSS) and provides findings by looking at the dimension of burnout and demographic factors which consist of sex, age, marital status, level of education, years of career, and duty station. This study reveals that; the overall value of burnout experienced by hospitals' nurses is categorized into level 1 with the highest value presented by dimension 1 (physical exhaustion), and burnout generally experienced by man, nurses younger than 30 years old, married nurses, lower degree nurses, nurses whose less than 20 years in career, and nurses whose responsible in terminal care and emergency unit. In addition, data obtained from the survey is utilized to determine burnout causative factors using fishbone and pareto diagram.

Decision-making processes in determining loan eligibility are often subjective which leads to imprecise credit predictions. Due to inaccurate inquiry on prospective customers done by field survey officers of Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) Bandung City, it has experienced credit complications such as bad credits. Therefore, this study aims to help decision-makers in determining creditworthiness and preventing bad credits from occurring. To realize this solution, the study uses the Fuzzy Logic method to calculate the creditworthiness of each prospective loaner based on the inquiries done in the field survey. Fuzzy Logic is known to be a 'counting' methodology with varying words. In addition, it can implement human expertise into machine language with ease and adequately. Based on numerous testing performed, the results demonstrate a level of 90% in accuracy when inputting within the valid ranges of each fuzzy set and membership function. However, the level of accuracy is only based on the clarification result which is determined by a researcher and BPR director, not a general level of accuracy for other microfinance institutions. Nevertheless, the findings of this study prove the method has a high enough accuracy to support decision-makers in determining the loan eligibility of prospective loaners and through this application in the surveying process, survey workers can work more efficiently. Hence, in future has a higher chance of predicting bad credits from potential loaners.

Mung bean seeds decreased their viability very fast during storage, especially in tropical area without proper packaging. The purpose of this study is to observethe decrease in viability of mung bean seeds during storage and to build a mathematical model for shelf life prediction. Dried mung bean seeds were vacuum packed and stored in Accelerated Shelf-life Testing chamber at five different temperatures of 30° C, 35° C, 40° C, 45° C, 50° C with approximately 80% in relative humidity, to facilitate rapid deterioration with different rate of physical and chemical change in the seed. The results show that there was an increase in moisture content and the germination decreased in different rates. Changes in values for some parametersof the seeds affected the viabilty of the seeds during rapid deterioration. The value of constant (k)for viability decreasing was calculated and used to build the mathematical model for predicting the shelf life of mung bean seeds during storage at any temperature. Using the developed model, it was observed that the shelf life of the Sriti variety of mung bean seeds in vacuum packaging could maintain 90% of germination level for 421 days or 14.3 months if stored at 20 °C, and for 173.37 days or 5.78 months if stored at 25 °C.

Melt viscosity, determined by the shear rate, barrel temperatures, and pressure during plasticization, greatly affects the flow ability of polymer melts as well as the quality of injection-molded parts. In particular, the consistency of molding qualities is highly relevant to the plasticizing quality at each cycle (i.e., injection molding requiring a high yield rate highly relies on the stability of polymer melts). However, numerous factors affect the plasticizing quality, including the geometry of injection screws, processed polymer materials, processing parameters of plasticization such as the feeding rate, screw rotational speed, barrel temperatures, back pressure, and screw backward speed. The conventional approach of plasticization in injection molding machines uses a single reciprocating screw for conveying, melting, and metering polymer melts. The plasticizing quality is roughly adjusted by indirectly controlling barrel temperatures;thus, the melt viscosity varies. An in-suit approach of assuring melt quality is to measure the melt viscosity variation online, which is a more suitable indicator of the plasticizing quality than temperature. This study thus monitored the melt viscosity variations in polymer melts by using in-mold pressure sensors. Furthermore, the effects of the injection velocity and mold temperature on the melt viscosity variations were examined.

For measuring the rotation engine vibration signals, the mechanical or acoustical sensors are dif-ficult to get the clean signals from the heavy background noise of the machinery environment. The noise reduction algorithm may anticipate to decrease the background noise without disturbing the unpolluted signal. The spectral subtraction methods for noise attenuation case are reached for many years due to its simple and effectively. In this paper, the proposed algorithm incorporates the multiscale spectral subtraction method (MSS) with voice activity detector (VAD) and sup-ports vector machine (SVM) for removing the background noise, since SVM can be required for distinguishing a multivariate signal into separated subcomponents. From the analysis case for the rotating machinery, MSS shows that the low frequency with their harmonics frequencies can be tracked through the clustering of the data from SVM. The present method is helpful in background noise and signal compartmentalization as its application can significantly lower the requirement for labelled training cases in both the inductive noise and wanted signals.

Modeling complex systems plays a significant role in decision supports for stochastic processes such as the transportation system. Furthermore, the transportation system in an urban university setting poses additional challenges due to the dynamic nature of the user groups (mainly students) as many factors including the living arrangements and class schedules of the students influence the demands for on-campus transportation. In this research initiative, a university shuttle system was simulated using discrete event simulation modeling to understand the systems dynamics, identify system bottlenecks, and recommend improvement strategies. Specifically, the passenger waiting times as well as the shuttle bus utilization were analyzed at each bus stop. After modeling and validating the current transportation system scenario, a hypothetical scenario of diverting buses from one route to another was investigated and quantitative comparison was made.
