Let G be a finite group and let F be a hereditary saturated formation. We denote by ZF(G) the product of all normal subgroups N of G such that every chief factor H/K of G below N is F-central in G, that is, (Formula presented). A subgroup A 6 G is said to be F-subnormal in the sense of Kegel, or K-F-subnormal in G, if there is a subgroup chain (Formula presented) such that either (Formula presented) for all i = 1, . . ., n. Assessment of antigenic similarity between strains of the influenza virus is a crucial factor when planning vaccine compositions. To perform this, a gold-standard laboratory procedure, hemagglutination inhibition assay, is conventionally used. Despite its theoretical importance and accuracy, this procedure suffers from several shortcomings, including high time consumption. Therefore, various computer-aided and mathematical methods have been developed to acquire earlier knowledge on the antigenic characteristics of currently circulating viruses. In this paper, we introduce a state-of-the-art ensemble artificial neural network model based on features derived from multi-representation of antigenicity. Generally, each feature is generated from an optimized convolutional neural network whose input describes the genetic difference between viruses in a specific numerical space. The space is determined based on embedding of the genetic sequence by a reduced amino acid alphabet and the Word2Vec framework. Our experiments indicated that the proposed model outperformed approaches from the literature by achieving an accuracy level of 0.933 for the HINI subtype. This implies possible application of our model as a promising exploratory tool in practical tasks of virus control.

Model based predictive control (MBPC) is an optimization-based approach that has been successfully applied to a wide variety of control problems. When MBPC is employed on nonlinear processes, the application of this typical linear controller is limited to relatively small operating regions. The accuracy of the model has significant effect on the performance of the closed loop system. Hence, the capabilities of MBPC will degrade as the operating level moves away from its original design level of operation. This paper presents an MPC algorithm which uses on-line simulation and rule-based control. The basic idea is the online simulation of the future behaviour of control system, by using a few control sequences and based on nonlinear analytical model equations. Finally, the simulations are used to obtain the 'optimal' control signal. These issues will be discussed and nonlinear modeling and control of a single-pass, concentric-tube, counter flow or parallel flow heat exchanger w ill be presented as an example.

The number of annual scientific publications is growing year by year, which has led to the accumulation and formation of large databases. This increases the complexity of the search for relevant articles. Modern search engines leverage keyphrases to improve the performance of search results. Keyphrases (or keywords) are a set of single or multi-word expressions which provide a very compact summary of contents and describe the overall topic of a document. Implementation of keyphrase extraction can be varied for specific-domain databases. This motivated us to evaluate these methods on a database of influenza scientific literature. In this work, we considered 9 well known methods for extracting keyphrases. Our preliminary results show txhat graph-based methods which employ topics outperform others using our database. We also determined that influenza-related papers can be grouped into three general topics: public health & medical care; molecular biology & immunology; and phylogenetic & epidemiological studies.

The paper contains our study regarding the reduction of urban noise using the sonic barrier walls as to the EMPARA procedure, which is based on the simplified standard method for measurements and computing of surface traffic noise inside urban agglomeration, as they are given in SRM2 laws (Netherlands standards). The studies are made taking into account all parameters that characterize the noise attenuation. The graphical representations are made considering "n-1" constant parameters, and one parameter varying with time. In this way we obtained the influence of each parameter in the diminution of the urban noise using the noise barrier walls. In addition we realized a measurement for a real barrier wall inside the city of Oradea. Our study also contains a FEM model for the analyzed configuration. The comparison between measurements and computation was fair enough, which means that our theoretical study is acceptable and characterizes the noise pollution and its diminution in the urban agglomeration. The measurement-device was a CENTER 322 Sound Lever Meter.

The paper is a short review of the problems arising in control of distributed systems of spacecraft due to different kinds of uncertainties and of various AI-based approaches to deal with them. The considered uncertainties are caused by external and internal disturbances of different nature. The methods to deal with the uncertainties include neural networks, fuzzy logic, evolutionary algorithms, randomized algorithms and reinforcement learning.
