Based on the conventional maglev train fault diagnosis system,a maglev train in-transit monitoring and safety pre-warning platform based on industrial Ethernet is designed in this paper with the introduction of the safety pre-warning theory to the maglev train system.A comprehensive evaluation model for maglev train braking system safety pre-warning is built in the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation *** accuracy is improved and self-tuning of model parameters is realized by adopting the genetic algorithm to resolve the problem that parameters of evaluation weight matrix and membership matrix in the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method are difficult to identify.

Saturation influence of control voltage on maglev stationary self-excited vibration

This work addresses the saturation influence of control voltage on the occurring of self-excited vibration of maglev vehicle-bridge interaction system, which greatly degrades the stability of the levitation control, decreases the ride comfort, and restricts the cost of the whole system. Firstly, the interaction model of vehicle-bridge system is developed. Based on the interaction model, the relationship between the control voltage and vibration frequency is solved. Then, the variation of the effective direct component and fundamental harmonic are discussed. Furthermore, from the perspective of energy transmission between the levitation system and bridge, the principle underlying the self-excited vibration is explored, and the influence on the stability is discussed. Finally, in terms of the variation of the characteristic roots, the influence is analyzed further and some conclusions are obtained. This study provides a theoretical guidance for mastering the self-excited vibration problems.

A practical nonlinear controller for levitation system with magnetic flux feedback

This work proposes a practical nonlinear controller for the MIMO levitation system. Firstly, the mathematical model of levitation modules is developed and the advantages of the control scheme with magnetic flux feedback are analyzed when compared with the current feedback. Then, a backstepping controller with magnetic flux feedback based on the mathematical model of levitation module is developed. To obtain magnetic flux signals for full-size maglev system, a physical method with induction coils installed to winding of the electromagnet is developed. Furthermore, to avoid its hardware addition, a novel conception of virtual magnetic flux feedback is proposed. To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed controller, the nonlinear dynamic model of full-size maglev train with quintessential details is developed. Based on the nonlinear model, the numerical comparisons and related experimental validations are carried out. Finally, results illustrating closed-loop performance are provided.

Simultaneous optical signal to noise ratio and symbol rate estimation with blind chromatic dispersion compensation for auxiliary amplitude modulation optical signals

Based on the peak to valley ratio（PTVR） of the average magnitude difference function（AMDF）, we present a novel optical signal to noise ratio（OSNR） and symbol rate（SR） estimation method for commonly used auxiliary amplitude modulations（AAMs）. Moreover, it is demonstrated that the influence of chromatic dispersion（CD）on the method can be mitigated by maximizing the PTVR of the AMDF with additional tunable dispersion compensators. The results of simulations show that the OSNR estimation error can be kept within 0.8 dB in the wide OSNR range of（12, 32） dB, while the SR estimation error is below 0.079% for four widely used10 Gsymbol/s AAM signals.

In a lot of micro display applications, we need to enlarge and recognize a region of interest (ROI), which often get a low-resolution image because of limited resolution source image. This paper proposed a novel image reconstruction algorithm based on spatial autoregression regularization and sparse representation. This reconstruction algorithm trained an image dictionary with the same sparse coefficient by sparse K-SVD, and then import the autoregressive regularization item to construct the objective function which can realize local adaptive control of the image. In order to obtain further clear image, the degradation model was used which can realize the global constraints. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has considerable effectiveness in terms of both objective measurements and visual evaluation.

A novel ring vibrating gyroscope based on side piezo-electrodes

Solid-state wave gyroscope is one kind of high-performance vibrating gyroscopes. The present work develops a new type of solid-state wave gyroscope—a ring vibrating gyroscope driven by piezo-electrodes located on the sidewall of the structure. It has advantages of large vibrating amplitude, high energy conversion efficiency and compact structure. The working principle of the piezoelectric ring vibrating gyroscope is based on the inertia effect of the standing wave in the axisymmetric resonator caused by Coriolis force. The finite element method(FEM) analysis has been implemented to characterize the ring type resonator. The prototypal gyroscope was manufactured and has been trimmed by mechanical way. The harmonic response of the ring vibrating gyroscope has been tested. The resonating frequency of the ring type resonator is 3715.6 Hz and the frequency split of the two working modes before trimming was about 5 Hz and was reduced to sub-0.01 Hz after trimming procedure. The Q-factor of the ring type resonator was 2504. Then, the turntable experiment was implemented. The measured scale factor k is 9.24 m V/[(°)·s] and the full scale range of the gyroscope is larger than ±300(°)/s.

Navigation constellation inter-satellite link(ISL) is one of the efficient ways to improve the service performance of global navigation satellite system(GNSS).The four major GNSSs have been equipped with ISLs or plan to equip in near *** beam inter-satellite link in a time division multiple access(TDMA) system have advantages of fast beam switching, flexible networking, high communication speed and good *** navigation constellation to improve service performance, the measurement values have to transfer back to the ground facilities in a short time, at the same time, facilities have to transfer telecommand and uplink ephemeris to satellites which are invisible to ground facilities as soon as *** all made a request to shorter communication *** it is very important to improve the performance of ISLs by rapidly assessing the quality of the connection and adjusting the unreasonable connection in *** this paper, a communication time delay model for ISLs based on directed graphs is *** abstracting the ISL timeslot table into a directed graph, and based on the shortest path algorithm, the communication time delay can be obtained *** verifications have been carried out for different *** show that the proposed model works well.

This paper investigates the way of adding lumped masses on decaying time constant of the disk resonator gyroscope (DRG). Three typical ways of adding lumped masses are discussed and compared in detail. The longest decay time constant of 9.357 s is presented. In addition, this paper also demonstrates that adding lumped masses has the capability of reducing the bias and bias drift of the DRG. The figure of merit (FOM) of the proposed DRG with lumped masses is about five times smaller than that of the state of the art pure frame DRG, which could result in about five times decrease in bias and bias drift.

Small signal stability represents the reliability of generator for transferring electrical energy to the consumers. The stress of the generator increases proportionally with the increasing number of load demand as well as the uncertainty characteristic of the load demand. This condition makes the small signal stability performance of power system become vulnerable. This problem can be handled using power system stabilizer (PSS) which is installed in the excitation system. However, PSS alone is not enough to deal with the uncertainty of load issue because PSS supplies only an additional signal without providing extra active power to the grid. Hence, utilizing capacitor energy storage (CES) may solve the load demand and uncertainty issues. This paper proposes a coordination between CES and PSS to mitigate oscillatory behavior of the power system. Moreover, bat algorithm is used as an optimization method for designing the coordinated controller between CES and PSS. In order to assess the proposed method, a multi-machine two-area power system is applied as the test system. Eigenvalue, damping ratio, and time domain simulations are performed to examine the significant results of the proposed method. From the simulation, it is found that the present proposal is able to mitigate the oscillatory behavior of the power system by increasing damping performance from 4.9% to 59.9%.
