The fast development of technology results in increasing demands on nano-precision optical surfaces in fields of lithography, synchrotron radiation, space observation and inertial confinement fusion (ICF). As the requirements on equipments performance are continuously rising, the surface accuracy and roughness of optical components need to be further improved, which almost hit the theoretical physical limit. The highly increased demands not only bring tough challenges for optics fabrication, but make it the frontier in the nano-precision fabrication area. Through the development of conventional polishing and computer controlled small tool polishing technique, the technology of optical manufacturing has evolved to controllable compliant tools polishing, which is represented by Magnetorheological polishing (MRF) and Ion Beam Figuring (IBF). The polishing tools of these latest developed techniques could be controlled flexibly, which enhances the manufacturing adaptability to aspheric surface curvature and the long- Term stability of removal function. By utilizing the self-innovated controllable flexible polishing technology and facilities, National University of Defense Technology has realized nano-precision fabrication of typical optical surfaces and provided strong support in manufacturing technology to national science and technology projects.

Various battery chemistries have different responses to failure, but the most common failure mode of a cell under abusive conditions is the generation of heat and gas. To prevent battery thermal abuse, a battery thermal management system is essential. An excellent design of battery thermal management system can ensure that the battery is working at a suitable temperature and keeps the battery temperature diffenence at 2-3 °C. This paper presents a thermal-elcetric coupling model for a 37Ah lithium battery using AMESim. A liquid cooled system of hybrid electric vehicle power battery is designed to control the battery temperature.A liquid cooled model of thermal management system is built using AMESim, the simulation results showed that the temperature difference within 3°C of cell in the pack.

The quadruped robot can be decomposed into a planar seven-link closed kinematic chain in the direction of supporting line and a linear inverted pendulum in normal direction of supporting line. The ground slope can be estimated by using the body attitude information and supporting legs length. The slope degree is used in feedback, to achieve the point of quadruped robot adaptive control walking on slopes. The simulation results verify that the quadruped robot can achieves steady locomotion on the slope with the control strategy proposed in this passage.

This paper reports a novel, low-cost and inherently simple vertical signal transmission method for glass-silicon-glass sandwich micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) gyroscopes based on heavily doped silicon-bridge. As for the fabrication technique, only glass-to-silicon anodic bonding and after-laser-trimming process are needed, which are fully compatible with standard MEMS technology. Micro gyroscopes based on this optimized strategy were fabricated and experimental results showed that the proposed strategy for vertical signal transmission could be successfully integrated with MEMS devices and potentially be used in wafer level hermetic sealing.

As a signal processing method, the least-squares method plays a crucial role in parameter estimation, and great progress has been made in recent decades. However, errors may occur when the parameters to be estimated have some actual physical meaning, e.g., if the human-body temperature is estimated to be 70 °C by a general least-squares method. In this study, we consider solving a particular problem, named ranged least-squares estimation (RLSE), where the parameters are restricted to certain meaningful ranges. By using a theoretical analysis, we prove that the solution of the RLSE problem is unique and can be obtained in finite number of steps when the system matrix has a full column rank. Two programmable algorithms are proposed: a basic algorithm and another with improved efficiency. We also present a numerical experiment of an actual RLSE problem for hydrological parameter estimation, which validates the proposed method.

In this paper we are interested in the hypothesis test (HT) solution in the presence of prior information and conjugated prior distribution. Truncated Bayesian sequential posterior odd test (SPOT) is introduced to predict the required test sample size in autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) range accreditation. We focus on the connection between risks (type I and type II) and truncated threshold, required test sample size. And the computational approach based on numerical approaching is given in steps. Supported by prior information after fusion on credibility, we deeply analyzed the effect of risk base value on SPOT performance, and an array of random bootstrapping data is generated to validate the conclusion. A mature solution to small-size-sample test accreditation is proposed in this paper, which provides vital suggestions for test sample size prediction in small-size-sample parameter hypothesis test.
