This paper presents a dynamic brain-computer interface (BCI) approach for multiple mobile targets selection in complex scene. In this study, two dynamic paradigms based on the P300 and the steady-state visually evoked potential (SSVEP) respectively were devised and tested by experiments. In the experiments, a video in which several people walks around in a laboratory is presented on the screen, with the random flashes or periodic flickers at different frequencies superimposed on the mobile objects. Then subjects were told to select the target using these paradigms. Eight subjects participated in the experiments. During the P300 session, each subject performed 48 online P300 tasks. They achieved an average accuracy of 85.67%. In the SSVEP session, the optimal stimulation time for each subject was selected through different sessions, and the average accuracy and response time were 83.6% and 3.875s, respectively. The study indicated the feasibility and efficiency of dynamic target selection BCI approaches, and the BCIs we designed can be used in other fields to extend the scope of applications.

Comprehensive analysis of the eddy current sensor output and temperature variation relationship using curve fitting method to obtain the temperature-voltage curve equation comprehensively compensates the temperature drift of the sensor. For now, the majority of brake methods are time consuming, and braking distances are long. An dynamic filtering based obstacle detection algorithm is proposed for the navigation and control of Autonomous Land Vehicle(ALV). The algorithm detects the obstacles using sequential sonar data from dual sonar sensors. The sonar model is described at first. Then the obstacles' features,depicted as lines, are extracted. Finally a dynamic data filtering algorithm is described, in which the sonar return data is firstly processed through dynamic filtering using the orientation and the trajectory information of the vehicle. The algorithm's validity is approved through a field test in cross-country environment.

The phenomenon of logical stochastic resonance (LSR) in a nonlinear bistable system is demonstrated by numerical simulations and experiments. However, the bit rates of the logical signals are relatively low and not suitable for practical applications. First, we examine the responses of the bistable system with fixed parameters to different bit rate logic input signals, showing that an arbitrary high bit rate LSR in a bistable system cannot be achieved. Then, a normalized transform of the LSR bistable system is introduced through a kind of variable substitution. Based on the transform, it is found that LSR for arbitrary high bit rate logic signals in a bistable system can be achieved by adjusting the parameters of the system, setting bias value and amplifying the amplitudes of logic input signals and noise properly. Finally, the desired OR and AND logic outputs to high bit rate logic inputs in a bistable system are obtained by numerical simulations. The study might provide higher feasibility of LSR in practical engineering applications.

Potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) crystal parts used in high power laser systems require high figure accuracy and high laser induced damage threshold (LIDT). However KDP crystal is extremely soft, hygroscopic, brittle and thermally sensitive, which make it difficult to meet the requirements via conventional processing methods. This paper puts forward a new process chain for ultra-precision machining KDP crystals, including single point diamond turning (SPDT), magnetorheological finishing (MRF) polishing and ion beam figuring (IBF) polishing processes. A compensation SPDT process is developed as the first step of the process chain to reduce machining errors (due to vacuum suction force, spindle unbalance, etc.). As a result high shape accuracy and fine surface roughness is obtained with high machining efficiency Non- Aqueous and abrasive-free MRF polishing process is then employed to remove the diamond turning marks and further improve shape accuracy and increase the LIDT. Ion beam figuring (IBF) polishing is introduced as the final step of the process chain to remove the impurity layer. Experiments are carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed ultra-precision process chain.

The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of track short wavelength irregularity on low-speed maglev train. First of all, the source of short-wave irregularity is discussed and the model of suspension module for the maglev train is built. Then, for the purpose of research, the train is simulated as a rigid car with 5 independent bogies which each consists two separated suspension modules. In order to find the optimal length and sensitive length of the irregularity wave for the suspension system, the suspension gap and cabin acceleration fluctuation is discussed based on the outputs of the train which is stimulated by different length of short-wave irregularities. For the further analysis, the system performance is discussed with the change of controller parameters and structure of levitation module. The numerical simulation results show that the optimal length is beneficial to the performance of maglev train and is insensitive to the variation of the controller parameters. The conclusions can be taken into consideration for the track manufacture and guideway construction for maglev train.
