On orbit flying spacecraft detection in near range is of great significance to space based surveillance and the final stage of rendezvous & docking. In this paper, we propose an effective flying spacecraft detection algorithm with the earth as the cluttered dynamic background based on superpixels clustering. Labeled point trajectories are used as the motion cue, and both color and texture features are extracted from generated superpixels for clustering. Experimental results show that our proposed method performs well on real world videos recorded by cameras onboard the International Space Station.

In this paper, a system level fault diagnosis and prognosis framework is proposed. Test delay and prognostic dependency relationship are considered in a model based on Factorial Hidden Markov Model. By using time change, the inference problem can be transformed into a known one and thus can be solved using the previous algorithms. The proposed model and algorithm are tested on a simulated model, which shows that they have the potential to be applied to fault diagnosis and prognosis.

Various sources can be used as the thermal stimulation, such as flash lamps, laser, ultrasound, and eddy current etc. Currently, various quantification methods for defect depth estimation are built based on the surface heating, heat conduction or thermal wave diffusion. Microwave heating is a new heating technique, which has a lot of advantages, such as strong penetrability, selective heating, volumetric heating, significant energy savings, uniform heating, and good thermal efficiency. To meet the rapid development of product design services and quickly reuse design knowledge which is accumulated in product design process, this paper presents the concept of an executable knowledge unit. In addition, its construction and running processes were further studied. Executable knowledge unit has functional independence, high cohesion and loose coupling characteristics. The paper uses object-oriented design methods and parametric design ideas to study executable knowledge units. Meanwhile, the paper also constructs executable knowledge unit model and establish product design process based on executable knowledge unit.

Originated from Robot World Cup Middle Size League (RoboCup MSL), this paper discusses the design and implementation of a robot soccer simulation system based on ROS and Gazebo. Its aim is to test multi-robot collaboration algorithms. After building the Gazebo models, a model plugin is written to realize the robot's basic motions including omnidirectional locomotion, ball-dribbling and ball-kicking. To integrate the model plugin with the real robot code, ROS nodes related to low-level controllers are replaced with the model plugin. In addition, nodes related to behavior control and global information processing are modified to corresponding model plugins as well. Finally, multiple robot models are spawned into a simulation world and collaborate with others. We have already used the simulation system to successfully test and debug the multi-robot collaboration algorithms for MSL. Furthermore, after minor modifications, it can also be applied to the research of other multi-robot systems. Therefore, the simulation system is sufficient in simulating multi-robot collaboration.

Compressive Tracking is a very popular vision tracking method based on Compressive Sensing theory. In the Compressive Tracking, the measurement matrix is used to transform the image patch to a feature vector and plays a fundamental role in the tracking procedure. However, based on our analysis the traditional way of constructing the measurement matrix has intrinsic problems. In this paper, we propose a loop-blocked matrix which can extract more complete and discriminative information than the original one. In order to make our method robust to scale variation, a scale adaptive window model is also developed and its parameters are estimated by the particle filter. Regarding to the issue of occlusion, a forgetting model is proposed to improve the tracking robustness, especially when complete occlusion happens or the occlusion lasts too long. Experiments show that our algorithm has good adaption to the scale changes of the target in the image and good robustness to occlusion.
