The rapid advancement and deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in the manufacturing sector and the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data analytics are transforming traditional manufacturing processes. This is significant for Smart Manufacturing and poses immense potential for creating highly efficient, flexible, and interconnected production systems. However, these technological advancements come with substantial ethical and legal considerations that necessitate careful examination and proactive management. Using a qualitative research approach, this paper analyzes the ethical implications of AI implementation in manufacturing, exploring key challenges and opportunities for promoting responsible AI development. The paper presents a comprehensive review of emerging engineering solutions to address ethical concerns and protect intellectual property in the context of AI-driven Smart Manufacturing. It discusses the potential of blockchain technology in ensuring data integrity and transparency, federated learning approaches for collaborative model training while preserving data privacy, and AI transparency mechanisms to enhance trust and accountability in AI systems. Based on previous cases, industry methods, and scholarly discussions, this study provides practical suggestions for dealing with the ethical and intellectual property challenges of integrating AI into manufacturing processes. © 2024 IEEE.

Integrating Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and Digital Twin (DT) systems has become a mission-critical technological advancement in smart manufacturing. This study explores recent information technology solutions and prospects of IoT integration and DT technology within smart manufacturing environments. Through a comprehensive review of literature and expert insights, this research posits the potential of these technologies in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing productivity, and enabling predictive maintenance strategies. Additionally, the study explores the critical role of data analytics in ensuring seamless integration and efficient functioning of IoT and DT systems. This is a contribution to the body of literature on smart manufacturing. It outlines critical areas for future research, including but not limited to ethical implications of AI algorithms, data ownership, privacy concerns, and fair use of intellectual property. © 2024 IEEE.

The way man interacts with his place of abode has now been revolutionized by smart homes, which have become a more dominant trend in our ever-growing modern way of living. The trend of smart homes is marked by the rapid evolution of technology, the use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, intelligent sensors, actuators, and control systems to improve convenience, security, increase autonomy and energy consumption. Features in the smart home systems range from lighting systems to voice automated appliances and even predictive analytics;providing a new shift for maintenance and usage of the home environment. However, the adoption of this technological change has drawbacks. As more devices are networked, the issue of privacy and security issues continues to pose worries in the minds of homeowners. Prospective advancements in smart home technology have huge tendencies to overcome smart home constraints and expand the spread of smart home technology implementation. AI developments have led to the production of more systems that are more human-conscious which drive a more autonomous world. The standardization of cybersecurity policies will help to reduce the worries about security problems, which will yield a more secure and interoperable smart home system. © 2024 IEEE.

This study explores the profound impact of Industry 4.0 on STEM education, focusing on preparing higher education students for success in the expanding global information economy. The research addresses the following questions: "How can higher education institutions equip students with the necessary skills to thrive in an evolving global economy? What specific skills should students acquire before graduation, and how can they be effectively equipped with these capabilities?"A comprehensive literature review on Industry 4.0 in STEM education and the concept of Education 4.0 has been conducted, from 2014 to the present, utilizing various reputable research databases. The primary focus is on identifying the skills that engineers should learn to effectively address the challenges of the next generation, aligning with the principles of Industry 4.0 and sustainable development goals (SDGs). The article also discusses the potential adaptation of cognitive models in the professional training of future engineers to meet the demands and opportunities presented by new and emerging industries. Furthermore, it advocates for ongoing research into using intelligent educational infrastructure to facilitate learning analytics and enhance engineering education, especially in emerging economies. © 2024 IEEE.

In this research, a refined two-stage sampling product estimator for estimating the population mean is introduced, incorporating information from auxiliary attributes. The estimation is carried out in a product form within the context of two-stage sampling. The modified product estimator proposed here is a versatile family of estimators, yielding different results depending on the value of Lambda. Specifically, for the projected estimator, when lambda takes values of 0, 0.5, and 1, the product estimators align with three different estimators respectively. When the auxiliary attribute is treated as a variable, the estimator corresponds to another estimator. In the scenario where lambda is 0 and the auxiliary attribute is a variable, the result is akin to ordinary double sampling. The text further concentrates on the derivation of expressions for Bias and Mean Squared Error of the projected modified product estimator up to the first order of approximation. Through a comprehensive comparison with existing related estimators, both theoretically and empirically, it is demonstrated that the proposed modified product estimator exhibits superior efficiency at the optimal value of Lambda. This research contributes to the field by showcasing the enhanced proficiency of the proposed estimator in comparison to its counterparts.

In this research, we projected a new ratio and product estimators for stratified double sampling using auxiliary information. Theoretically, the mean squared error (MSE) of these estimators were theoretically derived and compared with the MSEs of some existing ratio and product estimators. In this study, we suggested an improved ratio estimator for stratification utilizing an auxiliary variable in simple random sampling. Theoretically, bias and the mean squared error (MSE) were obtained using Taylors' Series expansion up to the first order approximation. An empirical comparison was made between this estimator and the MSEs of many similar, currently available ratio estimators. Through this comparison, we were able to demostrate that the suggested estimate outperforms a few related, currently used estimators
