This paper presents a protocol for probabilistic remote preparation of a high-dimensional equatorial multiqubit with four-party, consisting of a sender and three receivers. The quantum channel is composed of a partial entangled high-dimensional four-particle state. We calculate the successful total probability and the total classical communication cost required for this scheme. It is shown that both the entangled resources and classical communication cost are greatly reduced.

This paper presents a nonlinear mathematical modeling of an Intelligent Pneumatic Actuator (IPA) systems and comparison of simulation results with existing experimental results of position and force control data. The derivation method of mathematical equation is referred and reviewed from several literatures. From the mathematical modeling, a simulation analysis was done and compared with existing data from previous research. This paper proposed a reverse engineering method from existing real system on the intelligent actuator that focused more on development of hardware and experimental setup to simulation analysis for validation of the developed model. The simulation results show the affirmation of the developed model based on the mathematical derivation work. The simulation results demonstrate the open-loop and close-loop control systems of position and force tracking control. Finally, performance of this system are analyzed and compared. For future research, this simulation can be used for development of new controllers, validation process and can be applied to real system.

In this paper, the development of a water bath temperature system to control the liquid's temperature in the water bath will be presented. In order to develop the water bath temperature control system, MATLAB fuzzy logic toolbox will be utilized. The Fuzzy Logic controller (FLC) is designed to control water temperature based on the input acquired from the thermal transducer sensor. The inference engines that are used are; Max-min (Mamdani) method and centre of gravity technique for defuzzification. The 4 × 4 matrix rules for the controller will be used in this project. In addition, the USB NI-DAQ card will be used as xPC target to link the MATLAB software and real time application. The real time output temperature is validated based on the simulation's temperature which is initially set by user. It can be concluded the performance of real time study is in par with the simulation result.

Intelligent Pneumatic Actuators (IPA) is a new generation of actuator for Research and Development (R&D). The purpose of this paper is to present the System Identification (SI) technique and procedure for the IPA system. System identification is used to obtain the mathematical model (transfer function) of the IPA system from the measured experimental data. Flow for the SI procedure starts with experimental setup, model structure selection, model estimation, model validation and finally testing with basic controller to prove the operation of IPA system. Auto Regressive with Exogenous Input (ARX) model is chosen as model structure of the system. Based on the input and output data of the system (model validation), best fit criterion and correlation analysis of the residual is analyzed to determine the adequate model to represent the IPA system. The result from SI model shows linear discrete model in order to obtain a discrete transfer function for the IPA system.

Wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) views the entire gastrointestinal (GI) tract. A main problem associated with this novel device is that too many frames must be reviewed by physicians. Thus it is essential to find an automatic and intelligent method to help physicians. One of the problems in WCE is its difficulty to distinguish among different organ's tissues. So, we introduce two novel algorithms which are able to classify main organs (among esophagus, stomach, small bowel and colon) in WCE's frames. In order to obtain our aim, we use statistic features (Haralick features) and non-statistic features (different diagrams and Gabor filter banks), colored features and non-colored features. Our experimental studies indicate good results that are shown in conclusion.

Nonlinear dynamic analysis of single-walled carbon nanotube based mass sensor

In previous studies, experimentally measured resonance frequencies of carbon nanotubes have been used along with classical beam theory for straight beams. However, it is found that these carbon nanotubes are not straight, and that they have some significant surface deviation associated with them. This paper deals with the nonlinear vibration analysis of a wavy single-walled carbon nanotube based mass sensor, which is doubly clamped at a source and a drain. Nonlinear oscillations of a single-walled carbon nanotube excited harmonically near its primary resonance are considered. The carbon nanotube is excited by the addition of an excitation force. The modeling is carried out using the elastic continuum beam theory concept, which involves stretching of the central plane and phenomenological damping. This model takes into account the existence of waviness in carbon nanotubes. The equation of motion involves two nonlinear terms due to the curved geometry and the stretching of the central plane. The dynamic response of the carbon nanotube based mass sensor is analyzed in the context of the time response, Poincaré maps, and fast Fourier transformation diagrams. The results show the appearance of instability and chaos in the dynamic response as the mass on carbon nanotube is changed. Period doubling and mechanism of intermittency have been observed as the routes to chaos. The appearance of regions of periodic, subharmonic, and chaotic behavior is observed to be strongly dependent on mass and the geometric imperfections of carbon nanotube. Poincaré maps and frequency spectra are used to elucidate and to illustrate the diversity of the system behavior. © 2011 by ASME.

The phasor diagram of the hybrid rotor machine is given in dq frame, according to the phasor diagram, the voltage equations are obtained. Compared the ALA rotor machine, the SPM rotor machine with the hybrid rotor machine starting performances by solving their state-steady equations, results show that the starting performances of the hybrid rotor machine are better than the pure ALA rotor machine, the bigger Ldr is not better, the inertial constant, Lp and Lqr should be small as possible, the reasonable k and a can improved the comprehensive performance of the hybrid rotor machine. © 2011 IEEE.

This study addresses a nonlinear trajectory tracking control problem for a kinematics Model of nonholonomic mobile robot with considering next 2 time path curvature. The tracking control of mobile robot using two cascade controllers is presented. The first fuzzy controller produces a variable which shows curvature of the path and is considered as one of the inputs of the second fuzzy controller. Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) is applied as second stage controller for the solution of the path tracking problem of mobile robots. The inputs value to fuzzy logic layer are VC, C, dR & dθ the robot current linear velocity, trajectory curvature, distance from the robot actual position to the next desired position, and difference between the angles of the dθ and the robot actual heading, respectively. A gradient descent learning algorithm is used to adjust the parameters. That present controller is compared with previous work to confirm its effectiveness. © 2011 IEEE.

Recent advances in UGV technology has surged a great amount of interest and accelerated research activities in this area. One of the main research topics in UGVs is the use of intelligent systems including sensors such as lasers, cameras, GPS and radar systems, which are already being increasingly employed in automotive and defence industry. In this paper, we summarize our research on the development of mapping algorithms for the "Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) Project", carried out in ITU mechatronics Education and Research Center. Testing a system in real time with all sensors working correctly is both difficult and expensive. Therefore to test our mapping algorithms, we used Webots, which is a professional simulation program by Cyberbotics. After constructing an occupancy grid map, we accepted the map as an image and applied image processing techniques. We used median filter to decrease the noise, dilation is applied to reduce sensor and measurement faults. Then, obstacles are segmented and enumerated by region growing algorithm. Finally, in order to decrease the computational load, each obstacle is described by only its mean and boundary values for further use in the path planning algorithm.
