Due to the complexity and time-varying nature of the environment, single image recognition technology is difficult to guarantee the high-precision perception of the target when affected by ground object occlusion, illumination environment, observation angle and so on, and cannot make full use of the correlation of captured data between multiple perceptions. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a multi-view data fusion method based on an evaluation network. By using the complementary of data between multiple perceptions, the target can still be accurately perceived when some perceptions cannot provide effective information. The algorithm in this paper has achieved good recognition results in the public datasets, and has achieved effective recognition of targets 100m away in the datasets constructed by ourselves.

The article provides the characteristics of the end cable couplings of the closed switchgear 110 kV at the electric steelmaking workshop of the metallurgical plant. The functions of the continuous technical condition monitoring system are substantiated, including continuous temperature monitoring and on-line registration of partial discharges in the insulation. The first function provides monitoring of the operational load, and the second has the maximum sensitivity for diagnosing defect propagation. A functional diagram of the developed intelligent on-line system for monitoring technical condition with digital signal transmission is provided. The choice of sensors and processor unit is justified. The authors consider the temperature control system of high-voltage equipment 'WDM-T', including a wireless sensor and an information receiver. The results of monitoring the thermal regime are provided, the advantages of partial discharge analysis are pointed out. The temperature trends of the end couplings included in the cable line phases are considered. The system is implemented on the closed switchgear 110 kV end couplings, its long-term operation has confirmed the effectiveness of technical condition monitoring. The developed system may be a component of an on-line cyberphysical system for monitoring the condition of high-voltage equipment in the electric steelmaking workshop. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents the service-aged MV underground cable experiment using very low frequency (VLF) testing. The underground cables in this experiment have been utilized in service for more than 10 years and subjected to TEAM stresses, particularly with moisture, throughout the service time. So, the effect of moisture leads these cables to bad condition. The cables under the experiments are both service-aged and unaged. These cables were prepared the same by peeling both end sides of the cables and were terminated with high voltage insulating tape. The VLF test combined with the tangent delta (tanδ) measurement, according to IEEE Std. 400.2-2013 was performed to assess the condition of these cables and compare them with the unaged cable. The test results revealed that according to IEEE standard 400.2-2013, the service-aged underground cables were assessed in Action Required criteria. Still, the unaged underground cable was assessed in the Further Study Required criteria. Moreover, the tanδ values from service-aged underground cables have significant differences, with service-aged underground cables having higher values than unaged cables. Besides, the variation of tanδ data samples at each test voltage level from some underground cables shows a decreasing trend at 1.0U0 and 1.5U0. Nevertheless, the test voltage at 0.5U0 shows the constant trend of tanδ samples. This analyzed result can indicate that the insulation condition has humidity inside the cable insulation. © 2024 IEEE.

Ciprofloxacin is a widely used broad-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the class fluoroquinolones, known for its activity against both gram positive and gram-negative bacteria. Owing to its effectiveness, cost and availability, ciprofloxacin is routinely administered to human and veterinary medicine while 40-50% is excreted in its active form to the environment. Self-administration, empirical diagnosis and inappropriate use of ciprofloxacin has contributed to prevalence of resistance in bacteria making therapeutics and prognosis with this antibiotic challenging. To ensure its most effective use, therapeutic drug monitoring of ciprofloxacin is necessary, especially in critical care. This study employs screen printed carbon electrode and screen-printed gold electrodes to detect ciprofloxacin. The pH values of the solution were optimized to pH 5 for SPCE and pH 6 for SPGE. Further cyclic voltammetry analysis was conducted across various concentrations at the optimized pH values for both the sensors. The sensors could detect ciprofloxacin up to 100μg/mL. Similarly, analysis was conducted using synthetic urine samples, which demonstrated a detection limit of 100μg/mL. Additionally, recovery study was also carried out, demonstrating a RSD less than 10% in all cases, depicting its further use in bed side therapeutic drug monitoring.

Development of robust technologies for quick detection of pathogenic microorganisms at the earliest point of care is a key challenge, particularly in the face of increasing pathogenesis. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) provides a simple solution for detection of diverse analytes based on an analysis of the frequency response of the substrate to a time-varying electrical excitation. Impedimetric biosensor design involves development or use of substrates, linker chemistries for modification with diverse nanostructures for bioconjugation of biological recognition elements, and their integration on a suitable transduction platform for direct read out. The current article discusses the key aspects in the design of impedimetric systems for biosensing applications, particularly for detection of viruses applicable to primary health management setups and water treatment plants. Worn piston rings disrupt the sealing performance of combustion chambers, reducing the compression ratio and combustion efficiency, thereby affecting engine power. Currently, limited in-depth simulations have been conducted on gas leakage of combustion chamber caused by piston ring faults. This paper presents a thermal-fluid-structure coupling simulation of a piston rings in a large marine diesel engine, focusing on the thermal parameter variations induced by its fault. The simulation results indicate that, under the given simulated conditions, the maximum deformation of the piston ring is 37.922 μm. As piston ring wear accumulates, both the velocity and pressure of gas leakage decrease, and the rate of decrease is diminished accordingly. Additionally, piston ring sticking may significantly raise gas pressure, resulting in a noticeable increase in the pressure drop at the inlet of ring-liner gap. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

In electric vehicles, it is essential to prevent battery overheating due to excessive ohmic losses or inadequate cooling. Indeed, the temperature of battery systems significantly impacts their performance, lifetime, and safety. This paper proposes a predictive cooling optimization method for the battery thermal management system of heavy-duty fuel cell electric vehicles. The predictive cooling strategy is based on a model predictive control (MPC) formulation to maintain the battery temperature in its optimal range (to increase efficiency) and avoid high-temperature peaks (to increase lifetime and safety). The predictive thermal management relies on the ohmic losses forecast provided by a predictive energy management system. Simulations of a real-world driving cycle validate the proposed MPC and assess the impact of the predictive horizon length, which is critical for thermal management performance. The comparison against a simple hysteresis control strategy highlights the significant benefits of the proposed MPC for higher battery efficiency and lifetime. Copyright © 2022 The Authors.

This research paper compares two neural-network-based adaptive controllers, namely the Hybrid Deep Learning Neural Network controller (HDLNNC) and the Adaptive Model Predictive control with Nonlinear Prediction and Linearization along the Predicted Trajectory (AMPC-NPLPT), for controlling a nonlinear object with delay. Specifically, the study investigates the effect of delay on the accuracy of the two controllers. The experimental results demonstrate that the AMPC-NPLPT approach outperforms HDLNNC regarding control accuracy for the given nonlinear object control problem.

Wear resistance is a critical consideration in engineering *** this study,we demonstrated an Ir-Ta-Ni-Nb bulk metallic glass(BMG)with outstanding high-temperature wear resistance and revealed its promising applications in extreme *** wear behavior and mechanism were systemati-cally investigated from room temperature(RT)to 750℃.The results show that the wear rate increases from∼2.65×10^(-6)mm^(3)N^(-1)m^(-1)to∼10.56×10^(-6)mm^(3)N^(-1)m^(-1)in the temperature span RT to 400℃,following abrasive wear and flash temperature-induced oxidative wear during the ***,at the higher temperature of 600℃,further heating due to frictional heat leads to a softening of the wear surface,resulting in a maximum wear rate of∼20.99×10^(-6)mm^(3)N^(-1)m^(-1)under softness-driven abrasive wear as well as oxidative ***,the wear resistance at an even higher temperature of 750℃shows a paradoxical improvement of∼7.08×10^(-6)mm^(3)N^(-1)m^(-1),which is attributed to the formation of an oxide layer with a thickness of several microns,avoiding violent wear of *** re-sults demonstrate the unreported outstanding high-temperature wear resistance of the Ir-Ta-Ni-Nb BMG,especially its excellent capability to resist wear at 750℃,leading to the promising applications of BMG in the fields of aerospace,metallurgy,and nuclear industries.
