The replacement rate of conventional material by composites is increasing. Possessing high specific strength and stiffness makes composites attractive to many applications. Different techniques are being utilized for composite placement processes. Robotic Fibre Placement (RFP) is introduced as a competing approach for composite fabrication. This approach can provide many advantages; e.g. low labor cost, high performance, quick and effective process. The current work proposes an 8-DoF system established for laying the composite material. This system composed of three main units includes a 6-DoF industrial robot and two mandrel tools with different configurations. A sensory-based feedback control system is developed to manage the placement process. The placement process can be performed on two different surfaces. The end-cap surface has been fabricated then the cylindrical surface. Different geometries of pressure vessels have been generated; e.g. Oxidizer tanks that can be used in many applications such as (Hybrid rockets).

The METERON project (Multipurpose End-To-End robotics Operations Network) was implemented by the European Space Agency as an initiative to prepare Europe for future human-robotic exploration scenarios that in particular, focused on examination of the human-robotic partnership, and how this partnership could be optimized through an evaluation of the tools and methodologies utilized in the experiments in the domains of operations, communications and robotics (specifically with respect to control strategies). Implemented through series of experiments of gradually increasing complexity, the project was originally conceived to culminate in the control of a rover-robot located at a terrestrial analogue site. Being operated by a geology-trained astronaut from the International Space Station (ISS), such a test would enable a reasonably high-fidelity examination of how crew on an orbiting vehicle around the Moon or Mars could remotely perform exploration tasks in an unstructured environment in close collaboration with operations teams at various centres on Earth. In early 2019, Lanzarote was selected as the terrestrial analogue site due to its lunar-like terrain coupled with the fact that the Tinguaton area had been used by the European Astronaut Centre's PANGAEA astronaut training course in 2017. Alignment of ISS planning with the unpredictable constraints of an outdoor planning drove the team to decide to split METERON Analog-1 into two segments: control of the rover/robot from the ISS as an excellent analogue of the Lunar Gateway, together with a more realistic ground analogue campaign - Mount Etna in this instance - where the Gateway analogue was simplified to a room in a nearby hotel. This paper summarises the first outcomes of the space demonstration mission of the ARCHES project which could have been performed this year from 13 june until 10 july on Italy's Mt. Etna in Sicily. After the second postponement related to COVID from the initially for 2020 planed campaign, we are now very happy to report, that the whole campaign with more than 65 participants for four weeks has been successfully conduced. In this short overview paper, we will refer to all other publication here on IAC22. This paper includes an overview of the performed 4-week campaign and the achieved mission goals and first results but also share our findings on the organisational and planning aspects. A serious risk to genuine organization demands is a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack. The main DDoS attack was archived in 1996, however, from that point forward, their intricacy and refinement have consistently expanded. A 2 TBps attack on a crucial foundation, including the monetary area, was accounted for in August 2020 during the Coronavirus pandemic. In the accompanying two years, it is anticipated that the number of attacks would twofold, stretching around 15 million. Since its beginning, many relief plans have been made, however, the intricacy is rising, requiring modern arrangements in view of new innovation. A potential and common-sense method for DDoS relief is blockchain. The point of the review is to give an exhaustive examination of the fundamental and intrinsic properties of blockchain, including their decentralization, inside and outer trust lessness, unchanging nature, honesty, obscurity, and evidence, which have demonstrated to be a fantastic contender for battling this destructive cyber threat.

A simple hydrothermal reaction of Ti3C2Tx and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanosheets to adjust the pore size of activated biomass materials (pleurotus eryngii) is presented. The unique structure produced is favourable for the ion transmission and reducing the re-stacking of Ti3C2Tx and rGO nanosheets. The effect of the addition quantities of Ti3C2Tx/rGO hydrogel on the specific capacitance was investigated. Under the optimal condition, the best specific capacitance of 403 F g-1 was observed at 2 mV s-1, which was approximately 1.5 times higher than that of the pure activated pleurotus eryngii. Our work possesses a technological strategy to reuse the commercial activated biochar as it could lead to broad industrial applications. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

This paper presents the results of the first calibration stage of the MF-TA1 wind tunnel: measurement of velocity distributions in the median plane of the test section using 3D-Laser Doppler Anemometer. Are presented the main functional and technical features of MF-TA1 wind tunnel and 3D Laser-Doppler Anemometer. For this experiment a 3D Laser Doppler Anemometer was positioned at 90 degrees from test section and lenses with focal length at 800 mm was used. The measurement domain is a matrix of 273 points on 500×300 mm. The laser probe movement in each point was performed with a 3D traverse system. The results are presented through graphics for velocity distributions, while for mean of velocity components, dynamic pressure and mean turbulence in the median plane of test section the results are presented through numerical values.

The article describes a method for processing data coming from a hydraulic drive, data analysis and the creation of a genetic algorithm based on the TensorFlow machine learning library in the Python programming language. Based on the created algorithm, the prediction of hydraulic drive indicators for 100 seconds ahead is obtained. The results obtained can be used to prevent accidents or to monitor the wear of working organs and other indicators.

One of the problems of the modern era that we are facing nowadays, besides the pollution caused by fuel burning, is the level of noise pollution in constant growth in agglomerated cities. The main source of noise is the transport sector where the number of passenger cars had dramatically increased in recent years. Most of the vehicles around the world are powered by internal combustion engines equipped with a fuel injection system and a small percentage with an electric one. Researchers have shown that noise pollution affects human health from a psychological and physical point of view. Due to the manufacturing process of high-pressure pumps, some pumps mounted on the engine and running under certain conditions can produce a higher audible noise than the engine. The paper presents an experimental investigation on a high-pressure pump that provides a comparison between the noise level at the beginning of its lifetime and that resulting after an endurance test performed on a special test bench. It has been found that the greatest contributor to noise emissions is the high-pressure pump outlet valve when it opens. To improve the sound quality of the high-pressure pump, it is essential to further develop the outlet valve design and better control over the manufacturing process.

This paper aims to fabricate functionally graded dental crown using a multi-slurry tape casting additive manufacturing technology. The different luminescence of the dental crown was obtained with different composition of zirconia and yttria. Zirconia with tunable mechanical properties and translucency are obtained by adding 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, and 5 mol% of yttrium oxide to zirconia powder. After obtaining the printable slurry with maximum solid loading, the green bodies are prepared using the in-house built high speed multi-ceramic tape casting technology. They are later sintered with two-stage sintering method. After the successful fabrication, the mechanical properties and translucency of the specimens were evaluated with Vickers hardness, three-point bending and translucency parameter tests. Finally, an FGM tooth crown with five photocurable slurries is proposed to demonstrate the translucent gradient effect of sintered part. The solid loading of 80% zirconia and 20% resin delivered samples without any surface cracks. The shrinkage ratio analysis showed that the sintered sample dimension was reduced by 20%, 20%, and 23% along X, Y, and Z directions. The samples fabricated with 3% yttrium oxide to zirconia delivered excellent hardness (1687 HV) and flexural strength (650.6 MPa). However, the relative luminescence increased with increasing the yttrium oxide for 3 – 5 mol%. With the optimized process parameters, the proposed dental crown is fabricated and analyzed for their shrinkage ratio, mechanical, and translucency properties. The study proposes the potential of fabricating customized dental crown with gradient translucent appearance. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
