Regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical industry involves navigating complex and voluminous guidelines, often requiring significant amounts of human resources. Recent advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) methods provide promising enhancements to data processing and knowledge management, potentially easing these burdens. However, despite these advancements, conventional Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) methods fall short in this domain due to inherent structural problems. To address these challenges, we introduce the Question and Answer Retrieval Augmented Generation (QA-RAG) framework. This framework enhances the conventional RAG framework. It integrates a dual-track retrieval mechanism tailored to the specific and dynamic nature of pharmaceutical regulations. It utilizes not only the original query but also the answers generated by a fine-tuned LLM, thus providing a more robust foundation for document retrieval. Our experiments demonstrate that QA-RAG outperforms conventional methods in various evaluation metrics including precision, recall, and F1-score. These results underscore QA-RAG's capability to enhance both the accuracy and efficiency of regulatory compliance processes in the pharmaceutical industry. This paper details the structure and efficacy of QA-RAG, emphasizing its potential to revolutionize the regulatory compliance process in the pharmaceutical industry and beyond. Wireless sensors and actor networks (WSANs) have been widely used in various fields, from basic data collection to precise real-time control and monitoring, including battlefield monitoring, rescue, and exploration. The actor nodes in a WSAN play a key role in processing and transmitting data, and because of the harsh environmental conditions encountered, network node failures are prone to occur. The failure of an actor causes a loss of connectivity with its neighbor nodes, resulting in network splits and failure to deliver messages between nodes. Therefore, determining how to quickly and autonomously recover network connectivity while minimizing the moving distance of backup nodes and the number of relocated nodes is crucial. In this paper, we propose a dynamic weight-based connectivity recovery (DWCR) method to minimize the total moving distance of actor nodes, the number of relocated nodes, the total messages sent, and the coverage loss rate. The proposed DWCR method involves selecting a backup node for each critical node by dynamically adjusting the weight. If a critical node fails, the backup node starts to move to restore the connectivity of the failed node. The simulation results indicate that the proposed DWCR method outperforms the recovery through inward motion (RIM) method and other methods in terms of minimizing the total moving distance, the number of relocated nodes, and the total messages sent. However, because the RIM algorithm requires the relocation of more nodes during the network process, the DWCR algorithm is slightly inferior to the RIM algorithm in terms of coverage loss rate. Nevertheless, the DWCR algorithm still outperforms the distributed actor recovery algorithm and the distributed autonomous connectivity restoration method based on finite state machine algorithm. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

Using MD5 hashing of passwords in web logins is highly vulnerable to dictionary attacks. One online application for cracking hashed passwords using a dictionary attack that is free and easy to use is ***. Even so, the use of hashing passwords using MD5 which has a low level of security is still commonly found to secure web login passwords. This research presents an increase in security through a combination of salt hash passwords when using MD5. The methodology of this study uses a quantitative experimental method to apply hash salt passwords using the MD5 combination. The password cracking test was carried out using the *** online hash cracking application on weak passwords such as 'admin' with the addition of a password hash salt using the MD5 combination. The results showed that Salt Password using the MD5 combination could not be cracked by *** using a dictionary attack. © 2023 IEEE.

The energy control of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) often leads to an unbalanced state between the battery storage system, energy extraction through photovoltaic systems energy, and energy utilization in the WSN. These disparities result in suboptimal wireless sensor network performance. The reliance on batteries is a major factor contributing to this problem. The Q-Learning Energy Management System (Q-EMS) is designed to address these challenges and improve energy management strategies. The Q-EMS algorithm used a learning process resulting in optimal actions for sensor nodes in different situations. The rewards or punishments nodes receive determine their decisions, which are determined by the Q-EMS algorithm. The Q-learning model approach is aimed at reducing energy consumption and supply in WSNs. Energy supply is categorized into battery-based, transfer-based, and harvesting, while energy consumption can be classified into task-cycle, mobility-based, and data-driven. The development of the Q Learning algorithm model has three scenarios: determining energy needs for WSN, effective energy harvesting strategy, and effective energy transfer. As a result, effective energy demand, harvesting and transfer using the Q-learning algorithm are balanced. However, it needs to be studied in more depth using real data in the field. In future research, I will use real data and optimize the use of the Q-Learning algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

Voice synthesizers still present several challenges in the speech of mathematical content, as spoken mathematics has quite peculiar rules. In the synthesized speech, pauses help blind and visually impaired students identify the limits of mathematical operators and subexpressions. However, most studies on pauses define them uniformly or use simple punctuation marks to force the synthesizer to introduce pauses in certain parts of the expression. Speech is a dynamic process and pauses in expressions also need to be dynamic to make the synthetic speech of expressions more natural, as this can help in memorizing this type of content. This work proposed a dynamic model of pauses for mathematical expressions. Collected math expressions spoken by teachers were used to create the model. These expressions were useful for identifying patterns and creating a linear regression model. Blind and visually impaired students evaluated the model. Some improvements were observed when we compared the synthesized mathematical expressions with the model and Audiomath, the parameter tool used in this study. © 2022 ACM.

Being one essential part of the solutions we are developing to provide accessibility for blind persons, synthesized speech of mathematical content, although having evolved in naturalness in recent years, still keeps a characteristic of generating very long outputs, which makes it difficult for a person who uses a screen reader to memorize. Eye-gaze tracking has been useful for studying cognitive processes and student's effort in performing tasks therefore it seems attractive as a means to understand how people analyze, process, and break down extensive math expressions into smaller ones. This understanding can help to build a similar model of auditory rendering of MathML capable of avoiding cognitive overload. Therefore, we carried out an experiment to do a gaze-based analysis of reading and memorizing mathematical expressions. Our sample consisted of fourteen participants, and seven mathematical expressions were used in the experiment. The results showed that the computed complexity of the expressions and the average duration of eye-gaze fixations have a strong and significant relationship. Therefore, we conclude that the complexity variable must always be considered in the speech synthesis process of mathematical expressions. However, when considering why participants requested the repetition of an expression with not larger complexity during the memorization process, a tentative interpretation based on the number of MathML tree nodes and the computed complexity of the expressions was not enough to explain it, indicating that other factors need to be investigated. Although some answers to the research questions were not yet conclusive, we consider this research relevant because it points to directions for the work in order to minimize the cognitive processing and mental load of the synthesized speech rendering of mathematical expressions. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper classifies the simulations of homogeneous synthetic images, heterogeneous synthetic hazy images, and original hazy images taken from CCTV (Close Circuit Television) of Mt. Kelud crater using the GLCM (Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix) method. The average feature values obtained using the GLCM (Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix) method are used to compare the similarity of gray feature values of the three and then classify thin, medium, and thick images. The results for classifying thin haze, medium haze, and thick haze on the homogeneous synthetic hazy image test data obtained an accuracy value of 50%, a precision value of 46%, and a sensitivity value of 65%. As for the classification of thin, medium, and thick fog on heterogeneous synthetic hazy images, test data obtained an accuracy value of 42%, a precision value of 32%, and a sensitivity value of 48%. © 2023 IEEE.

This research presents the development and evaluation of a breath alcohol measurement device utilizing the MQ-3 alcohol sensor and an Arduino Nano-based control system. The primary objective was to design an accurate and reliable system for detecting breath alcohol concentration, with real-time feedback provided through an OLED display and an active buzzer for alerts. The device operates by measuring the alcohol concentration in the breath and converting the sensor data into parts per million (ppm). When the alcohol concentration exceeds the predefined threshold of 5% ABV, the system activates an audible alarm via the buzzer and displays the corresponding ppm value on the OLED screen. A series of tests were conducted with eight volunteers who consumed varying amounts of alcohol. The results demonstrated the system's high accuracy and responsiveness, with the ability to detect alcohol concentrations ranging from safe levels to dangerous thresholds. The device was tested multiple times to ensure consistency and minimize errors, with the final results confirming its effectiveness in providing reliable alcohol measurements. This system holds significant potential for applications in monitoring alcohol levels in drivers and individuals involved in safety-critical activities. The research underscores the importance of real-time alcohol detection systems in enhancing public safety and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. © 2025 IEEE.
