Video anomaly detection plays a significant role in intelligent surveillance systems. To enhance model’s anomaly recognition ability, previous works have typically involved RGB, optical flow, and text features. Recently, dynamic vision sensors (DVS) have emerged as a promising technology, which capture visual information as discrete events with a very high dynamic range and temporal resolution. It reduces data redundancy and enhances the capture capacity of moving objects compared to conventional camera. To introduce this rich dynamic information into the surveillance field, we created the first DVS video anomaly detection benchmark, namely UCF-Crime-DVS. To fully utilize this new data modality, a multi-scale spiking fusion network (MSF) is designed based on spiking neural networks (SNNs). This work explores the potential application of dynamic information from event data in video anomaly detection. Our experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our framework on UCF-Crime-DVS and its superior performance compared to other models, establishing a new baseline for SNN-based weakly supervised video anomaly detection. Myelin damage and a wide range of symptoms are caused by the immune system targeting the central nervous system in Multiple Sclerosis(MS),a chronic autoimmune neurological *** disrupts signals between the brain and body,causing symptoms including tiredness,muscle weakness,and difficulty with memory and *** methods for detecting MS are less precise and time-consuming,which is a major gap in addressing this *** gap has motivated the investigation of new methods to improve MS detection consistency and *** paper proposed a novel approach named FAD consisting of Deep Neural Network(DNN)fused with an Artificial Neural Network(ANN)to detect MS with more efficiency and accuracy,utilizing regularization and combat *** use gene expression data for MS research in the GEO GSE17048 *** dataset is preprocessed by performing encoding,standardization using min-max-scaler,and feature selection using Recursive Feature Elimination with Cross-Validation(RFECV)to optimize and refine the ***,for experimenting with the dataset,another deep-learning hybrid model is integrated with different ML models,including Random Forest(RF),Gradient Boosting(GB),XGBoost(XGB),K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)and Decision Tree(DT).Results reveal that FAD performed exceptionally well on the dataset,which was evident with an accuracy of 96.55%and an F1-score of 96.71%.The use of the proposed FAD approach helps in achieving remarkable results with better accuracy than previous studies.

This research study proposes a novel system that integrates Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) with cloud-based platforms to efficiently generate renewable energy and produce clean fuel. By enhancing the safety, efficiency, and reliability of solar power and hydrogen generation, the system integrates optimization strategies, data analysis, and real-time monitoring. Critical parameters such as temperature, sun irradiance, electrolysis efficiency, and hydrogen purity are monitored using WSNs, with data transmitted and processed via cloud techniques to identify patterns, outliers, and areas for improvement. Proactive decision-making and rapid adjustments are facilitated through remote monitoring and control capabilities, leading to maximized energy production and clean fuel output. Security measures including encryption, access controls, and regular audits safeguard data privacy and integrity, while multiple sensor deployments, robust communication protocols, and a resilient cloud infrastructure ensure system reliability. This integrated approach offers an effective solution for advancing renewable energy generation and clean fuel production, contributing to environmental sustainability and a greener future. © 2024 IEEE.

Diagnosing a baby’s feelings poses a challenge for both doctors and parents because babies cannot explain their feelings through expression or *** the emotions of babies and their associated expressions during different sensations such as hunger,pain,etc.,is a complicated *** infancy,all communication and feelings are propagated through cryspeech,which is a natural *** clinical methods can be used to diagnose a baby’s diseases,but nonclinical methods of diagnosing a baby’s feelings are *** such,in this study,we aimed to identify babies’feelings and emotions through their cry using a nonclinical *** in the cry sound can be identified using our method and used to assess the baby’s *** considered the frequency of the cries from the energy of the *** feelings represented by the infant’s cry are judged to represent certain sensations expressed by the child using the optimal frequency of the recognition of a real-world audio *** used machine learning and artificial intelligence to distinguish cry tones in real time through feature *** experimental group consisted of 50%each male and female babies,and we determined the relevancy of the results against different *** application produced real-time results after recognizing a child’s cry *** novelty of our work is that we,for the first time,successfully derived the feelings of young children through the cry-speech of the child,showing promise for end-user applications.

Text style transfer, an important research direction in natural language processing, aims to adapt the text to various preferences but often faces challenges with limited resources. In this work, we introduce a novel method termed Style Extraction and Tunable Inference via Dual-level Transferable Prompt Learning (SETTP) for effective style transfer in low-resource scenarios. First, SETTP learns source style-level prompts containing fundamental style characteristics from high-resource style transfer. During training, the source style-level prompts are transferred through an attention module to derive a target style-level prompt for beneficial knowledge provision in low-resource style transfer. Additionally, we propose instance-level prompts obtained by clustering the target resources based on the semantic content to reduce semantic bias. We also propose an automated evaluation approach of style similarity based on alignment with human evaluations using ChatGPT-4. Our experiments across three resourceful styles show that SETTP requires only 1/20th of the data volume to achieve performance comparable to state-of-the-art methods. In tasks involving scarce data like writing style and role style, SETTP outperforms previous methods by 16.24%. © 2024 The Authors.

Electroencephalogram(EEG)is a method of capturing the electrophy-siological signal of the *** EEG headset is a wearable device that records electrophysiological data from the *** paper presents the design and fab-rication of a customized low-cost Electroencephalogram(EEG)headset based on the open-source OpenBCI Ultracortex Mark IV *** electrode placement locations are modiﬁed under a 10–20 standard *** fabricated headset is then compared to commercially available headsets based on the following para-meters:affordability,accessibility,noise,signal quality,and ***,the data is recorded from 20 subjects who used the EEG Headset,and signals were ***,the participants marked the accuracy,set up time,participant comfort,and participant perceived ease of set-up on a scale of 1 to 7(7 being excellent).Thirdly,the self-designed EEG headband is used by 5 participants for slide *** raw EEG signal is decomposed into a series of band sig-nals using discrete wavelet transform(DWT).Lastly,theseﬁndings have been compared to previously reported *** concluded that when used for slide-changing control,our self-designed EEG headband had an accuracy of 82.0 *** also concluded from the results that our headset performed well on the cost-effectiveness scale,had a reduced setup time of 2±0.5 min(the short-est among all being compared),and demonstrated greater ease of use.

This research explores a new finite element model for the free vibration analysis of bi-directional functionally graded (BDFG) beams. The model is based on an efficient higher-order shear deformation beam theory that incorporates a trigonometric warping function for both transverse shear deformation and stress to guarantee traction-free boundary conditions without the necessity of shear correction factors. The proposed two-node beam element has three degrees of freedom per node, and the inter-element continuity is retained using both C1 and C0 continuities for kinematics variables. In addition, the mechanical properties of the (BDFG) beam vary gradually and smoothly in both the in-plane and out-of-plane beam’s directions according to an exponential power-law distribution. The highly elevated performance of the developed model is shown by comparing it to conceptual frameworks and solution procedures. Detailed numerical investigations are also conducted to examine the impact of boundary conditions, the bi-directional gradient indices, and the slenderness ratio on the free vibration response of BDFG beams. The suggested finite element beam model is an excellent potential tool for the design and the mechanical behavior estimation of BDFG structures. © 2024 Techno-Press, Ltd.
