Deep learning is a very promising technique for low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) image denoising. However, traditional deep learning methods require paired noisy and clean datasets, which are often difficult to obtain. This paper proposes a new method for performing LDCT image denoising with only LDCT data, which means that normal-dose CT (NDCT) is not needed. We adopt a combination including the self-supervised noise2noise model and the noisy-as-clean strategy. First, we add a second yet similar type of noise to LDCT images multiple times. Note that we use LDCT images based on the noisy-as-clean strategy for corruption instead of NDCT images. Then, the noise2noise model is executed with only the secondary corrupted images for training. We select a modular U-Net structure from several candidates with shared parameters to perform the task, which increases the receptive field without increasing the parameter size. The experimental results obtained on the Mayo LDCT dataset show the effectiveness of the proposed method compared with that of state-of-the-art deep learning methods. Few-Shot Small Vessel Segmentation Using a Detail-Preserving Network Enhanced by Discriminator

Accurate segmentation of small vessels, such as coronary and pulmonary arteries, is crucial for early detection and treatment of vascular diseases. However, challenges persist due to the vessel's small size, complex structures, morphological variations, and limited annotated data. To address these challenges, we propose a detail-preserving network enhanced by a discriminator to improve the few-shot small vessel segmentation performance. The detail-preserving network constructs a complex module with multi-residual hybrid dilated convolution, which can enhance the network's receptive field while preserving the image's full detail features, enabling it to better capture the small vessel's structural features. Simultaneously, discriminator enhancement is incorporated into the training process through adversarial learning, effectively utilizing large amounts of unlabeled data to boost the generalization and robustness of the segmentation model. We validate the proposed method on in-house and public coronary artery datasets and public pulmonary artery datasets. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly improves segmentation accuracy, particularly for small vessels. Compared with other state-of-the-art methods, the proposed method achieves higher accuracy, a lower false positive rate, and superior generalization capability, effectively assisting the clinical diagnosis of vessel diseases. © 2024, The Authors. Leukemia is a kind of blood cancer that damages the cells in the blood and bone marrow of the human *** produces cancerous blood cells that disturb the human’s immune system and significantly affect bone marrow’s production ability to effectively create different types of blood cells like red blood cells(RBCs)and white blood cells(WBC),and *** can be diagnosed manually by taking a complete blood count test of the patient’s blood,from which medical professionals can investigate the signs of leukemia ***,two other methods,microscopic inspection of blood smears and bone marrow aspiration,are also utilized while examining the patient for ***,all these methods are labor-intensive,slow,inaccurate,and require a lot of human experience and *** authors have proposed automated detection systems for leukemia diagnosis to overcome these *** have deployed digital image processing and machine learning algorithms to classify the cells into normal and blast ***,these systems are more efficient,reliable,and fast than previous manual diagnosing ***,more work is required to classify leukemia-affected cells due to the complex characteristics of blood images and leukemia cells having much intra-class variability and inter-class *** this paper,we have proposed a robust automated system to diagnose leukemia and its *** have classified ALL into its sub-types based on FAB classification,i.e.,L1,L2,and L3 types with better *** have achieved 96.06%accuracy for subtypes classification,which is better when compared with the state-of-the-art methodologies.

Vision language models (VLMs) have achieved impressive progress in diverse applications, becoming a prevalent research direction. In this paper, we build FIRE, a feedback-refinement dataset, consisting of 1.1M multi-turn conversations that are derived from 27 source datasets, empowering VLMs to spontaneously refine their responses based on user feedback across diverse tasks. To scale up the data collection, FIRE is collected in two components: FIRE-100K and FIRE-1M, where FIRE-100K is generated by GPT-4V, and FIRE-1M is freely generated via models trained on FIRE-100K. Then, we build FIRE-Bench, a benchmark to comprehensively evaluate the feedback-refining capability of VLMs, which contains 11K feedback-refinement conversations as the test data, two evaluation settings, and a model to provide feedback for VLMs. We develop the FIRE-LLaVA model by fine-tuning LLaVA on FIRE-100K and FIRE-1M, which shows remarkable feedback-refining capability on FIRE-Bench and outperforms untrained VLMs by 50%, making more efficient user-agent interactions and underscoring the significance of the FIRE dataset.

Once AI begins gathering client data, the marketing sector will alter drastically. This research uses sophisticated AI technologies to better understand how complex client behaviors might be. We examine pricing solutions, including social media mood monitoring, joint filtering algorithms for targeted marketing, and reinforcement learning-based dynamic pricing. Neural networks are being investigated for application in e-commerce predictive analytics and predicting subscription cancellations. This research examines clustering algorithms' performance to see whether they may be utilized for cross-channel marketing activities, including consumer segmentation and credit modeling. The article concludes by examining how virtual reality is affecting shop advertising and marketing. The study's findings encompass AI-powered marketing strategies' applications, advantages, and drawbacks. AI helps marketing, according to the findings. Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites can be used to assist maritime wireless communications for data transmission across wide-ranging areas. However, extensive coverage of LEO satellites, combined with openness of channels, can cause the communication process to suffer from security risks. This paper presents a low-altitude friendly-jamming LEO satellite-maritime communication system enabled by a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to ensure data security at the physical layer. Since such a system requires trade-off policies that balance the secrecy rate and energy consumption of the UAV to meet evolving scenario demands, we formulate a secure satellite-maritime communication multi-objective optimization problem (SSMCMOP). In order to solve the dynamic and long-term optimization problem, we reformulate it into a Markov decision process. We then propose a transformer-enhanced soft actor critic (TransSAC) algorithm, which is a generative artificial intelligence-enable deep reinforcement learning approach to solve the reformulated problem, so that capturing global dependencies and diversely exploring weights. Simulation results demonstrate that the TransSAC outperforms various baselines, and achieves an optimal secrecy rate while effectively minimizing the energy consumption of the UAV. Optimisation of queries in distributed databases is more imperative to enhance the processing rate and use of resources with limited computational abilities. This work presents a novel GA-ACO hybrid swarm intelligence model to address the query optimization problem. The optimization effort of the proposed model starts with GA for an initial population of probable paths for query execution which uses the concept of evolution to select diverse solutions. After that, ACO strengthens this set by the application of pheromone-based reinforcement that allows adjusting of a query paths toward the best solution or its approximation with the following number values. In this way the enhancement of the convergence rates and the scalability of the proposed solution when distributed databases are used can be explained. The model was tested with artificial query logs with DEAP being used for the implementation of the genetic algorithm while ant colony operations were implemented using Python built ACO libraries. Performance analysis shows the success of the developed model in decreasing query response time as follows: This essentially complex hybrid mechanism shows potential for future use in other areas with large data sets and efficient query handling.

Data-driven medical applications, powered by big data and artificial intelligence, generate scalable models from extensive datasets. This innovation attracts both academia and industry, significantly enhancing healthcare quality while posing integration challenges. Federated learning emerges as a transformative approach in healthcare, facilitating collaborative machine learning while preserving data privacy. This article reviews research on federated learning in healthcare, utilizing the "Web of science" database to examine development trends and application progress. Initially, the federated learning system is dissected, and its application methods are analyzed, summarizing 18 federated learning frameworks and 9 privacy-preserving methods suitable for federated learning, and exploring its limitations in healthcare applications. Subsequently, recent literature on federated learning in four major areas—disease diagnosis and risk assessment, medical image analysis, drug discovery and development, and disease management—is reviewed, summarizing the general process of applying Federated Learning in healthcare. Finally, the challenges faced by federated learning in the medical field and the solutions currently being explored by scholars are summarized. This article aims to comprehensively summarize the research progress and application trends of federated learning technology in the medical field, analyze its limitations and challenges, and anticipate its future development to further promote sustainable advancement in the healthcare industry.

Style Content Decomposition-based Data Augmentation for Domain Generalizable medical Image Segmentation

Due to the domain shifts between training and testing medical images, learned segmentation models often experience significant performance degradation during deployment. In this paper, we first decompose an image into its style code and content map and reveal that domain shifts in medical images involve: style shifts (i.e., differences in image appearance) and content shifts (i.e., variations in anatomical structures), the latter of which has been largely overlooked. To this end, we propose StyCona, a style content decomposition-based data augmentation method that innovatively augments both image style and content within the rank-one space, for domain generalizable medical image segmentation. StyCona is a simple yet effective plug-and-play module that substantially improves model generalization without requiring additional training parameters or modifications to the segmentation model architecture. Experiments on cross-sequence, cross-center, and cross-modality medical image segmentation settings with increasingly severe domain shifts, demonstrate the effectiveness of StyCona and its superiority over state-of-the-arts. Optimization of Image Transmission in a Cooperative Semantic Communication Networks

In this paper, a semantic communication framework for image data transmission is developed. In the investigated framework, a set of servers cooperatively transmit image data to a set of users utilizing semantic communication techniques, which enable servers to transmit only the semantic information that accurately captures the meaning of images. To evaluate the performance of studied semantic communication system, a multimodal metric called image-to-graph semantic similarity (ISS) is proposed to measure the correlation between the extracted semantic information and the original image. To meet the ISS requirement of each user, each server must jointly determine the semantic information to be transmitted and the resource blocks (RBs) used for semantic information transmission. Due to the co-channel interference among users associated with different servers, each server must cooperate with other servers to find a globally optimal semantic oriented RB allocation. We formulate this problem as an optimization problem whose goal is to minimize the sum of the average transmission latency of each server while reaching the ISS requirement. To solve this problem, we propose a value decomposition based entropy-maximized multi-agent reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm. The proposed algorithm enables each server to coordinate with other servers in training stage and execute RB allocation in a distributed manner to approach to a globally optimal performance with less training iterations. Compared to traditional multi-agent RL algorithms, the proposed RL framework improves the exploration of valuable action of servers and the probability of finding a globally optimal RB allocation policy based on local observation of wireless and semantic communication environments. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the transmission delay by up to 16.1% and improve the convergence speed by up to 100% compared to the traditional multi-agent RL algorithms.
