Due to a shortage of funding and other market challenges, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) face difficulties in adopting new technologies. Numerous technological obstacles negatively impact the long-term commercial achievement of SMEs. The deployment of Industry 4.0hopes to resolve these technological challenges. A sustainable city is a complex structure where economic, societal, and ecological components interact and compete. There is a scarcity of l methodologies for measuring interactions in this complex structure. Industry 4.0 aims to obtain higher performance effectiveness, profitability, and automation. The main goal is to develop a reliable method of evaluating small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) adopting Industry 4.0 technologies, particularly concerning smart city applications. This paper aims to determine the influence of Industry 4.0 in fostering economic efficiency and sustainability amongst these SMEs. The study introduces a multi-criteria decision-making (SC-MCDM) system designed to test an SME’s achievement of their targeted sustainable developmental goals. A technique for computing the interaction between various standards, i.e., (static interactions and dynamical pattern resemblance), as well as the weightage of variables of every indicator generated by the connection, is included within SC-MCDM. Furthermore, applying the suggested technique is validated by assessing the sustainable development goals of twelve Chinese cities within the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) paradigm. From a geographic-temporal viewpoint, spatial variations in city sustainability reveal regional sustainable inequalities. Indicator scores suggest that the most significant factors for most communities are the lack of research spending, falling financing in stationary assets, shortage of financial development, and inadequate shared transit. The hardware and software of a computer are controlled by its operating system (OS), which performs essential tasks such as input and output processing, file and memory management, and the management of peripheral devices such as disk drives and printers. Application software refers to programs designed for specific purposes, these applications, often freely available and open source, contribute to the rising number of downloads. In the third quarter of 2022, combined downloads from the Apple App Store and Google Play Reached an estimated 35.3 billion. However, the prevalence of insecurity in these applications and technologies heightens the potential for cybercrimes. Protection against unauthorized intruders is crucial in identifying malicious applications. Machine learning (ML) serves as a promising avenue for detecting malware attacks, offering potential solutions to bolster cybersecurity measures. We propose a novel approach utilizing ML to enhance malware detection accuracy by segmenting datasets into distinct groups. Our research employs supervised ML techniques on the CICMaldroid2020 dataset, which includes comprehensive information such as intent actions, permissions, and sensitive APIs. The dataset was partitioned into four groups, each containing 150 features, and analyzed across four experiments to distinguish between attack and benign classes. Our proposed model demonstrated exceptional performance, with the random forest algorithm achieving an accuracy of 98.6% and a precision of 98.75%. These results highlight the effectiveness of our segmentation approach and its significant contribution to advancing malware detection in Android applications, offering a promising direction for future cybersecurity solutions. © 2024 by the authors of this article.

medical imaging plays a key role within modern hospital management systems for diagnostic *** methodologies are extensively employed to mitigate storage demands and enhance transmission speed,all while upholding image ***,an increasing number of hospitals are embracing cloud computing for patient data storage,necessitating meticulous scrutiny of server security and privacy ***,considering the widespread availability of multimedia tools,the preservation of digital data integrity surpasses the significance of compression *** response to this concern,we propose a secure storage and transmission solution for compressed medical image sequences,such as ultrasound images,utilizing a motion vector watermarking *** watermark is generated employing an error-correcting code known as Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem(BCH)and is subsequently embedded into the compressed sequence via block-based motion *** the process of watermark embedding,motion vectors are selected based on their magnitude and phase *** embedding watermarks,no specific spatial area,such as a region of interest(ROI),is used in the *** embedding of watermark bits is dependent on motion *** reversible watermarking allows the restoration of the original image sequences,we use the irreversible watermarking *** reason for this is that the use of reversible watermarks may impede the claims of ownership and legal *** restoration of original data or images may call into question ownership or other legal *** peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)and structural similarity index(SSIM)serve as metrics for evaluating the watermarked image *** all images,the PSNR value exceeds 46 dB,and the SSIM value exceeds *** results substantiate the efficacy of the proposed technique in preserving data integrity.

The COVID-19 pandemic is a major public health crisis threatening people’s health, well-being, freedom to travel and the global economy. Understanding COVID-19 symptoms for determining the severity of cases is critical. This study aimed to discover interesting facts from the COVID-19 data set considering symptoms, medicines and comorbidity. For data mining research, the semantic web raises new possibilities. Resource Description Framework (RDF) triple format is commonly used to express semantic web data. Association Rule Mining (ARM) is one of the most effective methods of detecting frequent patterns. However, finding potential rules is a difficult task. We propose an improved method that uses ontology with ARM for finding semantic-rich rules from COVID-19 data sets. The outcomes are semantic association rules that are potentially beneficial for decision-makers. We compare our results with one of the most recent approaches in this field to demonstrate the importance of ontology-based methods. Copyright © 2022 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

Outage Prediction and Improvement in 6G for UAV Swarm Relays Using Machine Learning

The issue of signal outages in sub-THz frequency communication for future 6G networks is addressed by this research. A machine learning method is proposed, employing Random Forest and K-Means algorithms to predict the optimal frequency band and outage probabilities for UAV relays. Both space and frequency diversity are explored to enhance signal strength, and metasurface-carrying UAVs are introduced with a 16 × 16 mm2 design. This design significantly reduces the predicted outage probability from 0.1% to 0.0178%. Finally, triangular and hexagonal UAV swarm formations with metasurfaces are investigated, demonstrating improved performance through heatmap results. © (2024), (Electromagnetics Academy). As we enter a new era of decentralized applications and blockchain technology, the issue of Web3 security becomes crucial and requires immediate attention. Given the growing popularity of using smart contracts in web3, it is vital to ensure the protection of digital assets and user data online. This paper aims to examine the different security risks associated with smart contracts in web3 and propose measures to mitigate them. This research article delves into the identification, causes, and potential mitigation steps for common vulnerabilities found in smart contracts in web3. Specifically, we focus on six major vulnerabilities: overflow and underflow, access control vulnerabilities, re-entrancy attacks, price manipulation attacks, signature reply attacks and self-destruct attacks. By comprehensively discussing these vulnerabilities and offering mitigation strategies, this research aims to disseminate the security vulnerabilities in smart contracts in Web3 ecosystem and provides a path way for adoption of blockchain technology. © 2023 IEEE.

AFuNet: an attention-based fusion network to classify texts in a resource-constrained language

In the era of widespread Internet use and extensive social media interaction, the digital realm is accumulating vast amounts of unstructured text data. This unstructured data often contain undesirable information, necessitating time-consuming manual classification efforts. An intelligent text classification system capable of automatically categorizing digitized texts based on semantic meaning is crucial. However, this task is particularly challenging for low-resource languages like Bengali due to a shortage of annotated corpora, issues with out-of-vocabulary words, lack of domain-specific hyperparameter tuning, limited ability to extract generalized text features, and class imbalances within the corpus. AFuNet: an attention-based fusion network to classify texts in a resource-constrained language. AFuNet undergoes a comprehensive four-phase experimental process, including baseline model evaluation and hyperparameter tuning, late fusion and model selection, attention-based early fusion and model identification, and an ablation study with impact analysis. Fine-tuned based on five Bengali text classification corpora, AFuNet achieves impressive accuracies: 96.60 ± 0.2 (BTCC11), 85.37 ± 0.2 (OSBC), 97.35 ± 0.2 (BARD), 93.74 ± 0.2 (IndicNLP), and 96.51 ± 0.2 (ProthomAlo). In comparison with previous state-of-the-art models on these corpora, AFuNet demonstrates significant accuracy improvements ranging from 0.54% to 4.49%, showcasing its effectiveness in advancing text classification capabilities for the Bengali language. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

This article is devoted to the determination of the fractal size of the damaged part of the human brain on the basis of images obtained from MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). There are various mathematical methods for determining the size of fractal structures, this article uses two variants of the cell counting method and describes the analysis of errors in determining the fractal size of the damaged part of the human brain. The article shows that the damaged part of the human brain has a fractal structure and that it has a fractal dimension. Fractal measurement has also been used to determine the size of the damaged part of the human brain, unlike common methods. In determining the fractal scale, cases of changes in human body organs were not taken into account. In the article, the determination of the size of the damaged part of the human brain is studied on the basis of mathematical formulas. Two different variants of the special cell counting method were used to calculate the fractal measurements, as well as the corresponding number of experimental results. In addition, these measurements were used to assess the extent to which patients suffered brain damage and to provide information on the practical application of these fractal measurements. © 2024 ACM.
