The Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) places a strong emphasis on advancing education within its domain. Various educational programs and resources have contributed to the professional development of CASS members for more than 20 years now. A major transformation within the Society was started in 2021 with a clear vision to become a premier educational resource within circuits and systems areas of interest. This article provides a comprehensive review of flagship educational programs and past initiatives. Insights from the lessons learned and future trends in the education ecosystem guided society's strategies and frameworks for improving and developing new educational products and services. The benefits of learning with the CASS program are presented, highlighting the Society's deep commitment to serving the community at large in educational pursuit for years to come. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

Using electronic signatures, blockchain technology, and identity-based encryption, essential documents may be certified and electronic contracts can be signed. All of the system's nodes, operations, and transactions may benefit from blockchain technology's distributed ledgers. This study introduces a novel encryption system, Decentralized Identity based Encryption Logic (DIEL), and assesses its efficacy by comparing it to the established Identity based Encryption (IBE) scheme. In order to guarantee the privacy and confidentiality of patients' data in cloud health systems, the suggested technique offers first-rate security using bilinear pairings. Additionally, this strategy authenticates users through challenge-response procedures. Furthermore, the suggested method guarantees the accuracy and integrity of shared data via the use of blockchain technology. Using the standard model, we can confirm that the suggested protocol is valid and that it is secure. Because all nodes are contributing data, cyberspace is more open and behavior can be more easily tracked. Data certification and the contract signing procedure are both finished and in compliance. Users may protect themselves from fraud and identity theft with the help of the Identity based Management system's encryption features. When used together, these two technologies will provide a safer method of data storage while yet preserving user privacy. © 2024 IEEE.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are a substantial part of the Internet of Things (IoT) utilized for cluster and routing path applications to monitor computational fields. The major challenge of the Firefly Algorithm (FA) is its sensitivity to parameters such as the attractiveness coefficient and the randomization factor. Selecting appropriate parameter values can be challenging and may require fine-tuning. The proposed method utilizes energy levels in the IoT to efficiently manage routing data transmission, enhancing information transfer through the cluster router. Aquila Optimization (AO) often involves trade-offs between different parameters. Improving one aspect may negatively impact another, and finding the right balance can be difficult. Although the proposed FA and AO method exhibit high performance compared to existing methods such as Black Widow Optimization (BWO), Fixed Parameter Tractability (FPT), and Multipath Link Routing Protocol (MLRP). The proposed FA and AO method yield high results, achieving a Network Lifetime 1900 rounds, Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) of 0.98, and an End-To-End Delay (ETED) of 0.80 ms. These outcomes outperform existing methods in the context of WSNs. © 2024 IEEE.

The unipolar photocurrent in conventional photodiodes(PDs)based on photovoltaic effect limits the output modes and potential versatility of these devices in *** photodiodes with photocurrent switching are emerging as a promising solution for obtaining photoelectric devices with unique and attractive functions,such as optical logic ***,we design an all-solid-state chip-scale ultraviolet(UV)PD based on a hybrid GaN heterojunction with engineered bipolar polarized electric *** introducing the polarization-induced photocurrent switching effect,the photocurrent direction can be switched in response to the wavelength of incident light at 0 V *** particular,the photocurrent direction exhibits negative when the irradiation wavelength is less than 315 nm,but positive when the wavelength is longer than 315 *** device shows a responsivity of up to−6.7 mA/W at 300 nm and 5.3 mA/W at 340 nm,*** particular,three special logic gates in response to different dual UV light inputs are demonstrated via a single bipolar PD,which may be beneficial for future multifunctional UV photonic integrated devices and systems.

The intellectual and immense attainment of a smart city and auto-mobile vehicles are gradually growing. This growth drives Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET), a broadly operated complex network for inter-vehicular transmission to acquire information relevant to the vehicle location, road condition, traffic congestion, and speed. Generally, this information is procured through an open-source communication, which is susceptible to various security threats. In broad terms, the privacy of data in VANET is considered an imperative task. In this regard, many authentication protocols are formerly initiated for VANET. Most of these protocols are precarious owing to eavesdropping, replay, and impersonation attacks, etc. Furthermore, most existing protocols operates on enormous communication and computation rate, which turns them inadequate for VANET. This paper exhibits a lightweight privacy-preserving authentication protocol for n number of vehicles in VANET using the physical unclonable function (PUF) technique, and offers efficient and secure communication via public channels. Moreover, we evaluate our protocol formally and informally, showing that it is scalable, lightweight, and safe compared to formerly protocols. The rate of computation and communication is less than most related protocols. We also simulate the proposed scheme using the NS-3 simulator to measure its various network performance parameters. As a result, it is apparent through the beheld statistics that the presented protocol is beyond practical, efficient, and reliable for the secure dissemination of information in VANET. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

After a deep questionnaire among students, faculty members and higher education experts. The demand for qualified engineers in the specific field as understandably gone down. The situation is grimmer for tier-2 and tier-3 colleges in India. The purpose of opting engineering course is not to get expertise in the particular course, instead to get a job in government sector with valid degree. The problem identified in the field of engineering education towards improving the quality in education is addressed with the help of exploratory data analysis. The dataset used in our experiment is collect from UCI machine Learning Repository having 33 variables and 1044 observations. The contribution made in the paper is to identify the vital attributes using single and multi-variant regression techniques. To perform prediction using Decision Tree, Random Forest, Support vector Machine and compare their performance in terms of classification accuracy and F-Score. In addition to that a convolution Neural Network (CNN) model is established in which, the vital attributes identified using regression techniques are provided as inputs and weights at each stage is estimated using Gradient Decent algorithm with step size 0.5. The classification accuracy from 63% is improved to 97% with the help of CNN model in 26664 iterations. The finding of the present research states that student having backlogs are less frequently opting for higher studies. © 2022 IEEE.

Heart diseases related to the heart increasing everywhere. Human beings are suffering from most dangerous cardiovascular disorders (CVD). Features are main parameters to identify diseases. The feature extraction is done from the signals and make ready for the analysis. Where machine learning (ML) is a technique that tells the potential emergence of cardiac disease. Information science uses machine learning to address a variety of difficulties. The basic use of machine learning is the forecasting of a result based on data that is already available. The machine applies the designs from the current dataset to a hidden dataset in order to predict the disorders. There are several arranging calculations to be completed with sufficient accuracy. We have used various machine learning classifiers for identifying CVDs. Random forest (RF) classifier producing highest accuracy compared to other classifiers. © 2023 IEEE.

The main aim of this paper is to evaluate the performance of a modular fault-tolerant multiphase inverter prototype. Suitable current and voltage monitoring are implemented to maintain limited the electric and mechanical stresses during the fault detection, identification, and isolation phases. The realized fault-tolerant motor drive configuration covers different types of faults occurring in the power converter devices and the open-phase fault in the electric motor. The inverter has been tested on a six-phase induction motor prototype. © 2022 IEEE.

The computer-aided design is the most important of the costume designing, and it is the power source of the contemporary costume design development. Through three-dimensional image analysis and simulation of costume design, can realize the enterprise mass customization production, enhancing the economic efficiency of enterprises. In this paper, the application and realization of three-dimensional virtual garment technology based on two-dimensional hand drawing is studied, and a quadrilateral mesh algorithm based on the regular grid method is applied to realize the transformation of two-dimensional clothing sheet to three-dimensional flexible surface, and the stitching process of three-dimensional virtual garments is given. Experimental results showed that the proposed method can accurately predict the rationality of different types of apparel design. © 2023 IEEE.

Millions of individuals all over the world are living with diabetes, a chronic condition that necessitates regular monitoring of Blood Glucose Levels (BGL). The present technique for minimal invasive BGL monitoring involves taking a small blood sample and transferring it to a glucometer. However, this procedure can be uncomfortable for the patient. This research presents a method for non-invasively monitoring BGL with the help of a powerful controller called the ARM Cortex-M4. For non-invasive applications, we use photoplethysmography (PPG) signals. Using a photodiode and an infrared LED light, PPG samples are received from a finger sensor. Signal processing and feature extraction are carried out using the Gray-Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) method. To predict the BGL, two ML models are developed: one employing a Linear Regression (LR) model and the other an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model. The experimental findings show that the ANN model is quite effective, with an R2 score of 0.986. After careful consideration, the ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller's processing capabilities were found to be optimal for running the ANN model. The model must be fine-tuned before deployment so it can communicate with the microcontroller and provide correct inference in real time. The finger sensor simplifies PPG sample collection, and the OLED display makes it simple to view BGL. © 2024 IEEE.
