For many, Covid-19 is a short-term, mildly debilitating disease. But some people are still struggling with monthly symptoms with persistent inflammation, chronic pain and shortness of breath. The situation of 'long-term cowardice' has become so debilitating that it is now common for some to say that they are tired even if they walk a short distance. So far, the focus has been on saving lives from the plague. But now there are growing concerns about people facing the long-term consequences of the COVID epidemic. The fundamental question, with the uncertainty of whether those with chronic goiter, or all those affected, will fully recover is raised. In this paper a smart monitoring model was proposed to keep monitoring the COVID patient's health conditions. The smart method keep on watching the different changes reflected in the body conditions and ensure the changes in the database. In case any emergency is raised, then these smart monitoring tools inform the information to the doctors. This can very much helpful for the patients to communicate with the doctors. © 2023 - IOS Press. All rights reserved.

This research paper explores the potential of using blockchain technology in cloud computing security to mitigate DDoS, MITM, and SQL injection attacks. The paper discusses the traditional security measures used in cloud computing and how attackers can bypass these measures at each layer of the OSI model. The proposed solution suggests utilizing blockchain features at each layer of the OSI model to enhance cloud security measures. The paper provides a detailed explanation of how the proposed blockchain-based security measures can be used to prevent DDoS, MITM, and SQL injection attacks. It is crucial to remember that the suggested remedy has not been put to the test in real life, and more investigation and testing are required to confirm its viability and efficacy. Overall, the integration of blockchain technology into cloud computing security shows promising potential to enhance the security of cloud environments.

This study has clarified various micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) processes performance evaluation based on MEMSolver simulation software. The spin time against final resist thickness for the spin coating of a thin film of photo resist and the oxidation time versus oxide thickness for silicone dioxide growth for silicon in wet oxide are clarified. The diffusion profile for Boron after predeposition and drive in of dopants in silicon and the thickness of silicon dioxide mask for Boron diffusion are demonstrated. The dopant distribution resulting from ion implantation and drive in and the percentage of dose penetrating photo resist mask versus thickness of the mask are reported. The film stress versus the film thickness from wafer bow measurements, aluminum deposition rate against temperature using the electronic beam evaporator and the deposition rate of polysilicon versus silane partial pressure are reported. UWASN has various challenges such as minimal bandwidth availability, long propagation delay, increased energy exhaustion, increased deployment cost and security. The routing protocols should facilitate an enhanced data forwarding towards sink nodes. In this paper, an Improved Energy Balancing based Data Forwarding incorporating Whale optimization Technique (IEBDF-WO) is proposed to effectively elect optimal forwarders to participate in the routing process. The Whale optimization algorithm has three phases namely, scouring phase, encompassing phase and final bubble net raiding phase for facilitating enhanced data transmission towards sink node. The proposed technique determines a fitness function by using the weighted depth difference W D , Potential Relay Count (PRC), Residual energy of each potential relay node. The performance of the proposed IEBDF-WO technique is analyzed and is collated with the existing Energy-Efficient Probabilistic Depth-Based Routing (EEPDBR) technique. It is seen that, for a network comprising of 200 nodes, the proposed scheme has improved Packet Delivery Ratio of 96.04% while minimizing the end to end delay, energy tax and average number of hops.

This paper reported the numerical estimation of co-directional waveguide grating coupler performance transmission characteristics. These dopant materials that are namely phosphorus dopant silica, fluorine dopant silica and boron dopant silica. Transmittivity/reflectivity and three dimension (3D) transmission mesh cross-section of pure silica waveguide grating coupler are outlined with grating dimensions. Coupling efficiency variations is clarified against the grating wavelength and the fill factor variations. Transmission and reflection dispersion of pure silica waveguide grating coupler is reported with grating dimensions. Transmission and reflection delay and dispersion spectrum of various materials-dopant based silica waveguide grating coupler are reported with grating wavelength. The output pulse intensity of pure silica waveguide grating coupler is demonstrated against the time span variations at the link length of 100 km. © 2023 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston.

This paper has clarified the gallium aluminum arsenide and plastic modulators and its element circuit modeling design considerations for high signal processing distance links communications. Modulator circuit model design considerations and equations analysis are taken into account. Modulator source resistance, modulator inductance, and modulator capacitance based electro-optic modulator (EOM) is studied and analyzed against temperature variations. In addition to the switching voltage for EOM is analyzed at both 1300 nm and 1550 nm wavelength versus temperature variations. The operation efficiency and maximum modulation resonance frequency are studied for previous and proposed EOM versus modulator length variations. The lower modulator resistance, modulator capacitance, and modulator inductance can be achieved with the proposed EOM. As well as the proposed EOM has outlined the optimum operational efficiency and maximum resonance modulation frequency compared to the previous EOM. © 2023 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston.

The incorporation of Internet of Things (IoT) cloud computing solutions with smart grids signifies a significant advancement in energy management. Traditional methods, though beneficial, often lack scalability and real-time capabilities, limiting their effectiveness in managing the complexity of modern energy systems. In this paper, a novel approach cloud-based IoT technologies to address these shortcomings and enhance smart grid functionalities. Existing energy management methods heavily rely on localized monitoring and control systems, constraining scalability and real-time responsiveness. Additionally, these methods struggle to handle the immense data generated by IoT devices dispersed throughout the grid. The proposed approach tackles these challenges by utilizing cloud computing to store, process, and analyze IoT sensor data in real-time. The novelty of this method lies in seamlessly integrating cloud-based platforms with IoT devices across the smart grid. Through utilising cloud resources, the limitations of traditional approaches are overcome, enabling scalable, real-time oversight and management of grid assets. The methodology involves deploying IoT sensors across the grid to compile information about energy usage, generation, and distribution, which is then transmitted to cloud servers for analysis and decision-making. Through simulations and real-world experiments, the effectiveness of this approach in optimizing grid performance, improving reliability, and facilitating demand-response programs is demonstrated. The results exhibit significant enhancements in grid efficiency and resilience, showcasing the potential of cloud-based IoT solutions to transform energy management in smart grids. Overall, this proposed method presents a promising pathway towards establishing more efficient, sustainable, and resilient energy infrastructure for the future. © 2024 IEEE.

This research offers a solution for AI in IoT-based health care systems that can help large scale implementation of AI-based cloud platforms for real-time data processing and analysis. The IoT sensors with the cloud-enabled environment supported by the CNNs and LSTM networks for health condition monitoring allows real-time management of patient health status. Based on the experimental context, the system was able to prove that the system can actually filter large data stream and work even through the fluctuating network environment. Specifically, the performance targets such as the time taken to process the data, AI output accuracy, the ability of the system to scale and the robustness of the system were assessed. The results demonstrate that the proposed solution has accuracy of up to 96% in health predictions and is easily scalable in terms of the number of IoT devices involved. Network latency was also well controlled, whereby the lowest network latency for networks was measured in 5G networks. Such conclusions prove that the application of cloud-based AI systems can enhance the conditions of the healthcare provisioning, in terms of timely identification of patients with certain health conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

Therefore, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are capable of predicting or extrapolating from identified patterns to unknown data, enabling the analysis and extraction of knowledge from large images, in order to produce consistent outputs for inputs not previously presented. On the downside, the training process takes a long time as it is computationally expensive. Aiming to reduce the computational time to perform the training of the neural network (NN), and the analysis of images during the testing process, as well as taking advantage of the natural distributed characteristic of ANN, it was decided to transfer the processing-intensive parts of the tool from CPU (Central Processing Unit) to a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). Finally, simulator tests were carried out, with consequent verification of the effectiveness of diagnoses on ultrasound images of the liver. The accuracy and total processing time for carrying out the analyses proposed during this research were then evaluated, making a comparison between the network training and testing times obtained on the CPU and GPU. It can also be seen-in both Tr&Tt cases-that GPU had a higher gain than CPU (about 10.6 times faster), even when dealing with a small database, with 120 images of 202500 pixels each. © 2024 IEEE.
