The purpose of this research is to prioritize the factors that is important for the successful of halal food standard practice in food manufacturing small medium enterprises (SMEs). This study employed a non-probability convenience sampling method for collecting data. The main instrument for data collection is using a structured questionnaire. The respondents of this research is halal-certified SMEs in Solo Raya. A partial least square structural equation model (SEM-PLS) was applied to test the proposed structural model. Subsequently, the importance-performance map analysis (IPMA) was performed to prioritize the critical success factors that need special attention by SMEs' managers intending to adopt halal standard in their daily food production. Finding of this research revealed that employee involvement has a positive and significance impact to the halal food standard practices in food SMEs. Another factors, namely management support and customer focus have also a positive impact but not statistically significant. Findings from IPMA indicate that SMEs should focus on the employee involvement. The findings of this study are beneficial not only for SME's manager but also for government institution responsible to the development of SMEs.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the incidence of fungal infections accompanied by a decrease in susceptibility to fluconazole as one of the drug choices for fungal infections. So that it needs to be considered the existence of an alternative drug that is effective and also expected to have a minimal side effect, one of which is Propolis. This research was done to determine the effectivity of Indonesian Propolis from Tetragonula biroi bee on the growth of Candida sp. and Cryptococcus neoformans. An experimental study to test the susceptibility of Propolis using disc diffusion technique performed on six types of fungi, e.g. Candida albicans, Candida glabrata, Candida parapsilosis, Candida krusei, Candida tropicalis, dan Cryptococcus neoformans. The samples tested were Indonesian propolis emulsion from Tetragonula biroi bee with a concentration of 10 mg/ml, 50 mg/ml, and 70 mg/ml. The sample selection based on the result of “Exploration of Antifungal Potential of Indonesian Propolis from Tetragonula biroi Bee“ from the faculty of engineering, University of Indonesia. Indonesian Propolis emulsion from Tetragonula biroi bee can inhibit the growth of Candida sp., especially Candida glabrata and Candida krusei, and also Cryptococcus neoformans with an optimum concentration of 10 mg/ml. The lower concentration than 10 mg/ml of Indonesian Propolis emulsion from Tetragonula biroi bee could be considered to provide more optimal results.

Optimization of biogas production in Indonesian region by liquid anaerobic digestion (L-AD) method from rice husk using response surface methodology (RSM)

Rice husk is one of agricultural waste that is potentially converted to biogas. In this research, rice husk is used as the material to produce biogas by liquid anaerobic digestion (L-AD) with TS concentration below 15/5. The purposes of this research are finding the optimum value of total solid (TS), C/N ratio, and microbial consortium (MC) for biogas production and then analyzing the optimum biogas production rate from rice husk. Because of the high lignin content, rice husk must be through the pretreatment stage using NaOH 3%. The variations of the observed factor are 5%, 10%, 15% for TS concentration; 20, 35, 50 for C/N ratio; and 3%, 6%, 9% for MC concentration. There are 16 reactors in which the variation for each reactor was determined by Central Composite Design. Data obtained from the research will be optimized using Response Surface Methodology (RSM) in Statistica 10. The result shows that the optimum condition of biogas production from rice husk is TS in between 1%-2.5%, C/N ration 33.45, and MC in between 5.5%-7%. Reactor having a combination of value factors that close to the optimum value will be analyzed using Polymath 6.0, which is reactor 10. The kinetics constant of biogas production rate (u) is 3.625 ml/***, the maximum biogas production (A) is 277.374 ml/gr TS, and the minimum time needed to produce biogas (λ) is 3.878 days.

Over the past few decades, cities have experienced severe social and economic pressures, which have a disproportionate impact on the urban environment. As a result, the quality environment has decreased, which is characterized by increased CO2 emissions and energy operating costs. Sustainable city development is considered as a step to create a pleasant environment for the community. Therefore, this research is essential to do to regenerate settlements in improving urban quality. This study aims to find a model for developing sustainable hybrid settlements in densely populated areas. The research method with the simulation method uses the Urban Modeling Interface device with three parameters. The modeling results obtained a Floor Area Ratio (FAR) value of 0.43 with a total land area of ± 427,233 m2. The FAR value produces an operational energy value of 3,983kwh / m2 / year and an embodied energy value of 216 kWh / m2 / year. This value is very high from 240 kWh / m2 / year as a standard for energy use. The amount of mobility in the aspect of walkability is 21-68, and 21-69 for the value of Bikeability. The results of this simulation indicate that the residential area in Jatinegara is not yet sustainable.

Photonic technologies continue to drive the quest for new optical materials with unprecedented responses. A major frontier in this field is the exploration of nonlocal (spatially dispersive) materials, going beyond the local, wavevector-independent assumption traditionally made in optical material modeling. On one end, the growing interest in plasmonic, polaritonic and quantum materials has revealed naturally occurring nonlocalities, emphasizing the need for more accurate models to predict and design their optical responses. This has major implications also for topological, nonreciprocal, and time-varying systems based on these material platforms. Beyond natural materials, artificially structured materials—metamaterials and metasurfaces–can provide even stronger and engineered nonlocal effects, emerging from long-range interactions or multipolar effects. This is a rapidly expanding area in the field of photonic metamaterials, with open frontiers yet to be explored. In the case of metasurfaces, in particular, nonlocality engineering has become a powerful tool for designing strongly wavevector-dependent responses, enabling enhanced wavefront control, spatial compression, multifunctional devices, and wave-based computing. Furthermore, nonlocality and related concepts play a critical role in defining the ultimate limits of what is possible in optics, photonics, and wave physics. This Roadmap aims to survey the most exciting developments in nonlocal photonic materials, highlight new opportunities and open challenges, and chart new pathways that will drive this emerging field forward–toward new scientific discoveries and technological advancements. Incremental Development Strategy of Geothermal Field Using Wellhead Unit Technology: Case study Ulumbu Geothermal Field

Geothermal development in Indonesia is still dominated by the utilization of conventional geothermal power plants with large capacities. Generally, it requires a long time development phase and often experiences delays before an operation. This study aims to provide alternative field development options with an incremental development strategy. This study was conducted to show how a wellhead unit's effective incremental development strategy compared to conventional power plants by applying the probability approach for the Ulumbu geothermal field's case study in East Nusa Tenggara. Besides, this study also provides a comprehensive economic condition of the obtained revenue and project investment costs. Therefore, geothermal power plant development could be more feasible and minimize the barriers in the investment. The methods used in this study is a technical and economic approach, from total project investment cost and the financial return achieved for each development strategy. The technical analysis compares the power plant's specific steam consumption (SSC) and the generated capacity. The total investment is determined for different development strategies of 40 MW (conventional) scenario 2×20 MW, 40 MW (incremental) scenario 8×5 MW, and 40 MW (incremental) scenario 16×2.5 MW using condensing power plant. The economic analysis shows P50 for the investment cost in millions of US$/MW is 5.84, 5.58, and 5.60, respectively. Regarding the tariff-based, which is 80% under Average Cost of Electricity Generation (BPP) of the relevant local grid, P50 for the Rate of Return is 16.85%, 17.33% 17.21%, respectively. Evaluation done by comparing investment cost, economic parameters, tariff variation, and risk assessment, for incremental development scenarios of 8×5 MW and 16×25 MW is feasible as development alternative scenario of Ulumbu field.

Situating in a tropical climate, will be favourable for Indonesia and Malaysia to have an intensive weathering and a concentration of lateritic bauxite. The study area takes place in Kuantan, Pahang State, Malaysia and Landak area, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The study area has different type of parent rock, topography and drainage condition, which will also cause the different characteristics of alumina minerals in bauxite. One of the common form of alumina minerals is known as Gibbsite [Al(OH)3]. The objective of this research is to investigate the genesis of gibbsite from two different parent rocks. Samples were taken and collected from pitting, analyzed for Al2O3, Fe2O3, SiO2 and TiO2 using XRF and XRD examination. The parent rock of bauxite in Kuantan is basalt, meanwhile, in Landak, ranges from granodiorite to andesite. Petrography and XRD analyses of Kuantan bauxite shows predominant gibbsite, with minor amount of geothite, hematite, kaolinite, illite, quartz and feldspar, while in Landak, mineralogically consists of variant amount of gibbsite, goethite, hematite, kaolinite, illite and quartz. In Kuantan, the amount of Al2O3 varies from 23.6% - 51.01%, nearly similar than that in Landak that varies from 31.35% - 55.03%. Gibbsite in Kuantan is assumed as a transformation of Ca-rich plagioclase and Ferromagnesian- silicate minerals, on the other hand, gibbsite in Landak was produced from direct weathering of primary Al- silicate minerals (Na- plagioclase and K-feldspar). From study, it can be inferred that gibbsite formed from a layer of silicates and will concentrated in finer clay as a weathering product. Moreover, the different types of parent rock will produce different types and amount of alumina minerals. The study will be beneficial to predict the existence of potential alumina minerals in lateritic bauxite. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Theoretical studies have been conducted on the application of solar air heater for preheating the air of broiler house. The air heating system of broiler house was use a gas air heater and equipped with rocks bed as the thermal storage medium. The study was conducted for the broiler house with the capacity of 30,000 chickens, which is a house with a size of 100 m x 12 m and has two floors, each floor with a capacity of 15,000 chickens. This study aims to determine the potential amount of savings the use of LPG and operating costs of heating chicken coops during the brooding period (2 weeks of starting the chicken farm) on a chicken coop that using the additional solar air heater and heat storage medium compared to air gas heater only. The study shows that the proposed heating system can save gas usage as much as 613.06 kg per harvest cycle. However, the proposed heating system requires additional electrical energy to operate the fan/blower, amounting to 700.66 kWh per crop cycle. The operational cost savings of the proposed heating system is IDR 6,066,358,-per crop cycle (the calculation basis as of November 2015). © 2018 IEEE.

Maintenance is an activity to maintain facilities or equipment of the factory and make repairs or adjustments to the necessary replacement to satisfactory condition of production operations in accordance with what is planned. Companies often experience damage to the Blowing machine so that interconnected machines cannot be operated. The purpose of this study was to improve the performance of Blowing line 4 engines with the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) method at PT. Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia Medan Unit, also to determine the level of Blowing machine performance based on the analysis of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) at PT. Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia Medan Unit. The method used in this study is the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) method to measure Ishikawa's treatments and diagrams to compare and propose low engine performance. The results of data processing shows machine maintenance has not comply the OEE standards in July 81.48%, August 81.48%, September 78.07%, October 81.22%, November 78.08%, and those that fill the standards in June amount to 86.48%, with losses that most affect the effectiveness of equipment in line 4 blowroom machine is Equipment Failure Losses of 11.42% based on the results of the study, the proposed improvement in engine performance is to provide training to employees, and increase operator awareness. against engine damage, thus the production process will run smoothly. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
