Updated Conceptual Model and Resource Assessment using Numerical Reservoir Simulation of Danau Ranau Geothermal Field Indonesia

Danau Ranau geothermal field is located in Lampung and South Sumatra province, Indonesia. It is classified as a high terrain volcanic hydrothermal system controlled by the Sumatran fault as the permeability zone. The study aims to characterize the Danau Ranau reservoir, update the conceptual model, and assess the geothermal power capacity coupled with Monte Carlo simulation. Therefore, the numerical reservoir simulation is performed using TOUGH2 software to achieve a natural state model based on geoscience interpretation data. The numerical reservoir models' output matches the geological, geochemical, and geophysical interpretation, thus becoming important information (3D pressure and temperature, heat and mass flow, location of heat source, boundary condition, reservoir geometry) in the updated conceptual model. The probabilistic heat stored method results based on the natural state model's output show that Danau Ranau geothermal field can generate up to 30 MW.

The objective of the research was to analyze the clustering method by optimizing Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) in the case of measles immunization for children under the age of 5. The research data source used is the North Sumatra Province Central Bureau of Statistics (https://***/). The data used in 2019 included 33 records with variables BCG, DPT-HB3/DPT-HB/Hib3, CAMPAK (MEASLES + RUBELLA), POLIO 4 and HEPATITIS B. The methods used were k-medoids and PSOs. This method is used to determine the value of the Davies Bouldin Index (DBI) before the cluster value is determined (k). The resulting k values were compared to k-medoids without PSO. The best results of k-medoid and PSO will be tested by classification to see the accuracy value of the cluster formed. The results showed that the optimization of k-medoids and PSO was better with the number of clusters (k = 5) than 0.078. (DBI). The results also show that the accuracy of the cluster formed is 95% with a correlation of 0.98.

Kawi Language is a kind of language which has developed in Java during the Hindu-Buddhist era in the ancient Indonesian archipelago. As the time passed, Kawi began to come to extinction. To overcome this, preservation of Kawi language can be done by enhancing the understanding of culture through the use of technology. Technology that can be used for cultural preservation is one of NLP based applications such as Kawi Language to Bahasa Translator Application which is developed in this research. The translator application is an application that translates from one language to another. The result of translation of the translator application is a language that is easy to understand by the people or commonly used language. This translator application is developed to processes Kawi Language text into bahasa based on search method which each word inserted. The stemming method used is Bobby Nazief & Mima Adriani Algorithm using Kawi Language rule. The translated Kawi Language text can be a word, sentence or paragraph with the result of the Text in Bahasa as well as words, sentences or paragraphs. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

Vernacular architecture is a potential phenomenon that capable of generating local theory for settlement arrangement in accordance with the condition of natural environment and local culture which is the development of sustainable architecture. In this research they study the phenomenon of architecture settlement which is focused on spatial layout of Bajo tribe in Kabalutan Island, using phenomenology method. The purpose of this research, to find the concept of spatial layout that underlies the order of Bajo settlements in Kabalutan Island. This research produces a spatial layout based on the concept of ethnic fraternity, integrating with the natural conditions that are adaptations of Bajo people's behaviour. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Kampung kota is a type of Indonesian residential that is occupied by a large portion of urban dwellers. According to Pauline (1993) Kampung kota is still considered to have a social interaction habit as mutual assistance among the residences called gotong royong [1]. Despite the effort to plan the formal residential area, most kampung kota is categorized as slum and squatter areas. There are a lot of improvement programs initiated by the government to create a better kampung kota. One of the programs in Surakarta is located in neighborhood one (RW 1), Pasar Kliwon District. The residents were given temporary living space in kampung sub-communal RISHA Mojo before they were moved into the new area of Kampung Metal in Semanggi sub-district. Kampung Sub-Communal RHISA Mojo in Surakarta is a temporary housing area provided by the government to support the kampung improvement program in the residents' old area. Living in communal housing is not directly being guaranteed with decent hygiene environment. When the COVID-19 pandemic occurred in 2020, the residents were dealing with hygiene issues. Therefore, the goal of this paper is to show how social design at Bangkit Berbarengan Project that initiated by academicians of URDC Laboratory and NGO of ARKOM Solo in Surakarta becomes a strategy to improve the environmental quality in the sub-communal area, especially in the pandemic era. Social design thinking is to keep the human need approach and in formalistic approach of design that concern more about inclusivity (Sommer, 1983)[2]. This paper will discuss the approach of the social design process that applies actor-network as a method of knowledge. The case study of the social design project creates social dynamic assemblies and engages multi-stakeholders. Biohybrid approaches (where living and engineered components are combined) provide new opportunities for advancing animal behaviour research and its applications. This review article and accompanying special issue explores how different types of novel technologies can be used in the field of animal behaviour from three perspectives: (1) comprehension, (2) application and (3) integration. Under the perspective of ‘comprehension,’ we present examples of how technologies like virtual animals or robots can be used in experimental settings to interact with living animals in a standardized manner. Such interactions can advance our understanding of fundamental topics such as mate choice, social learning and collective behaviour. Under ‘application,’ we investigate the potential for technologies to monitor, react and interact with animals in a variety of scenarios. For example, we discuss how drones can be used to keep large herbivores away from valuable crops and robotic predators to deter invasive species. Under ‘integration,’ we discuss possibilities for the coexistence of engineered and biological systems, augmenting the capacity or resilience of either or both components. Integration can be physical, for example, livestock can have sensors sit in their inner body for temperature monitoring, or within the environment, where sensors or robots monitor and interact with animals, such as a short-term earthquake forecasting method. Based upon these three themes, we discuss and classify existing biohybrid animal behaviour research, including the four articles included in our special issue. We also consider the ethics of this emerging field, highlight the advantages and potential issues associated with using technologies to create biohybrid systems and emphasize how such technologies can support the advancement of animal behaviour research. © 2025 The Association for the study of Animal Behaviour

Analysis of Welding Strength S45C Material in Spot Welding Process with Variations in Welding Press Time and Electrode Diameter

Spot welding is one system of connecting to steel materials or other materials that make up sheets. The welding time and electrode diameter are the factors that determine the formation of welding nuggets. This study was conducted to analyze the effect of welding time and electrode diameter on the joint strength of the S45C steel plate with a thickness of 1 mm. The welding process takes place with variations in welding time lasting 1 second, 1.5 seconds, 2 seconds, 2.5 seconds, 3 seconds, and variations in the electrode diameter of 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm. The results of welding are then carried out a tensile test to determine the strength of the formed nugget. From the data obtained, an analysis is performed. The highest output voltage analysis result of a 6 mm electrode diameter is 0.92 V with a welding time of 1.5 seconds, 8 mm electrode diameter is 0.9 Volt with 2 seconds welding time and a 10 mm electrode diameter is 0.98 Volt with welding time 1 second. The results of the highest electric power analysis of the 6 mm electrode diameter were 9655.12 Watt with 3 seconds welding time, 8 mm electrode diameter was 9227.66 Watt with 3 seconds welding time, and 10 mm electrode diameter was 9260.64 Watt with 3 seconds welding time. The highest tensile stress analysis results were 20.97 N/mm2 at 6 mm electrode diameter, 21.7825 N/mm2 at 8 mm electrode diameter and 29.555 N mm2 at 10 mm electrode diameter

Prospective area of Solok geothermal lies in step over transtensional between two segments, Suliti and Siulak, Sumatra faults. Geological structure in this prospect area shows structural pattern controlled by 'oblique divergent strike-slip fault system' (releasing bend) as a proceed of embraced movement from Sumatra fault and establishes 'dilation zone' between those two segments, forming negative flower structure in direction of NW-SE and N-S. The pattern of geological structure is predicted to control the availability of solok geothermal system which in this case related to presence of surface manifestation. Surface manifestation indicates good permeability zone that can be used as flow path of geothermal fluid from reservoir.

Synthesis of 9-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,4,6,7-tetrahydro-2H-xanthene-1,8(5H,9H)-dione using lime and lemon juice as an acidic catalyst and its antioxidant activity

The 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxantene has many derivates. One of those is 9-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,4,6,7-tetrahydro-2H-xanthene-1,8(5H,9H)-dione. This compound has been successfully synthesized from 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde and 1,3-cyclohexanedione. This reaction has been catalyzed by lime and lemon juice under the free solvent condition. It is assumed that citric acid in both materials has a role in catalyzing this reaction. The advantages of using them as catalysts are biodegradable, environmentally safe, and cheap. Besides that, the synthesis of this compound only required one reaction stage, and the product was easily purified. The structure of the pure product was determined by FT-IR, H-NMR, and GC-MS. The antioxidant activity of this compound was investigated by the DPPH method. This compound had an antioxidant activity with inhibition percentage over 53.42%.

Spot welding is one type of welding that is quite widely used in the vehicle industry, as well as ship manufacturing. This study used AA5083 aluminum plate which has a thickness of 1 mm, and overlapping joint. This study examine the effect of voltage and time variations on the value of the shear strength of the welded joint. The material is cut with a size of 200mm x 40mm, welded with voltage variations of 1.75V, 2.2Vand 2.28V. And time variations between 1s, 1.5s and 2s, 300Nconstant pressure and uses copper electrodes with a diameter of 8mm. Multiple linear regression analysis is carried out and the effect of variabel X1 (stress) + X2 (time) on Y (shear strength) is 50.4%, where X1 is 22.7% and X2 is 27.8%. It states that there is no influence between X1 and X2 on Y, because the more dominant data is the data at 1.75V and 2.2Vvoltages which have no significant difference. At 2.28V the material will receive more heat so as to allow the material to melt and have a greater HAZ area as well as the material thickness decreases so that it will affect the shear strength very significantly.
