Ulumbu geothermal working area (GWA) is in Ruteng district, East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia. Ulumbu GWA is owned by PLN. There are four geothermal power plants (GPP) in Ulumbu, which capacity 4 x 2.5 MW. It has operated since 2013. Steam used to generate electricity comes from ULB-2 production well. Wellhead temperature and pressure were 180-200°C and 11 bar. Ulumbu GPP Unit 4 uses a condensing type turbine. It has specific steam consumption (SSC) during commissioning around 9.8 T/MW. After 6 (six) years of operation, SSC becomes 10.04 T/MW on average. It gives a chance to perform optimization in the GPP's equipment. Before performing optimization, evaluation for every equipment based on as-built data is done by modeling using EES software. The method of evaluation is performed by thermodynamics analysis in each GPP's equipment. EES is chosen due to its simplicity to arrange many equations in a single window. EES could communicatively display calculation results through a parametric table, solution window, and diagram window. Operation data give information that turbine inlet pressure is operated under its specification. Turbine inlet pressure is operated under its specification because of the change of operating wellhead pressure. Non-Condensable Gas (NCG) content also decreases based on the last ULB-2 well fluid sampling. Using EES, parameter changes in turbine inlet pressure and NCG content are simulated to get optimum power generation value. The simulation results indicate that optimum turbine inlet pressure is obtained at 9.3 bar with SSC 9.17 T/MW. Ulumbu GPP Unit 4 that operated in that condition could reach cycle efficiency of about 10.39%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Well casing and cement temperature can change during geothermal production operation. The change of temperature occurs because of the heat transfer from the geothermal fluid to the formation. The heat transfer occurs because of the temperature difference in geothermal fluid and formation. The heat of fluid moves to the casing, cement, and formation through convection and conduction. This research aims to develop the heat transfer model in the steam production well, predict the steam heat loss and its effect on every 100 m well increment, and predict the well casing and cement temperature distribution and their effect on every well segment. The heat transfer model is an analytical calculation model developed to be the base of the calculation of heat loss and a temperature drop of well casing and cement. This model was developed for the calculation of heat loss in steam production well. The model was compared with a simulator to test the suitability. The fluid flow pressure drop and well lithology were considered in this model. The heat loss was very low during the steam production. The heat loss could be higher, along with the formation temperature drop. The material thermal conductivity and the well segment's layer thickness could affect the steam heat transfer in the production well. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Indonesia has lots of natural resources especially in marine sector such as yellowstripe scad and long-jawed mackerel. Those fish are usually dried by fisherman for longer storage using conventional drying by heat from the sun. This conventional drying method takes hours, about two or three days depends on sun heat intensity. Based on that problem, mechanical drying system may overcome the problem. Automatic fish dryer is designed to dry the fish effectively with even heat distribution with palette rotation system which is hoped to increase productivity and economic potential for coastal communities. The prototype is designed theoretically with mechanical design to generate part specification including heater, shaft, electric motor, bearing, pulley and transmission. CFD method to discover the heat distribution inside with 5,239 nodes and STD k-Ε turbulence model. A 400 mm × 500 mm × 420 mm prototype is generated to dry 2 kg of long-jawed mackerels in 5.3 h with 0.00419 g/s for drying mass flow rate from 70 to 30% water content. CFD simulation shows the exhaust fan need to be installed at outlet for better water-vapor flow distribution. This research indicates that automatic fish dryer can dry 4 times faster than conventional drying system. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The increasing use of digital payment systems has led to a rise in fraudulent activities, presenting a significant challenge in ensuring secure transactions. This research focuses on implementing the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm with a Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel to detect fraud in digital payment systems. One of the main challenges addressed in this study is the severe class imbalance in the dataset, where fraudulent transactions account for only 0.17% of total transactions. To overcome this, the SMOTE (Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique) method was applied to balance the dataset, allowing the model to better recognize fraudulent patterns. The results indicate that the SVM model achieved an accuracy of 99.93%, with a precision of 86.23% and a recall of 75.51%. These results demonstrate that SVM, combined with SMOTE and RBF kernel, is highly effective in detecting fraudulent transactions while minimizing false positives. This research provides a strong foundation for improving fraud detection models in the context of digital payment systems, offering enhanced security and trust for users. Further research could explore hybrid models and real-time data analysis to improve performance.

This study works on scalable formation control of general linear system agents which based on self-loop Laplacian method. Self-loop Laplacian method for scalable formation is used when it is desired that the initial states of agents and communication topology of agents affects the formation size directly. Proof is provided demonstrating that the self-loop Laplacian matrix shares spectral properties with the standard Laplacian matrix, and the two can be related through a transformation matrix. Existing works on scalable formation mostly focused on single and double integrator agents, particularly where the control input algorithm uses self-loop Laplacian matrix. Extending the work on self-loop Laplacian matrix, this study proposes a control input algorithm for agents in linear system dynamics. The algorithm uses both self-loop Laplacian formulation and general linear system consensus methods, and the stability of the whole system is proven using Lyapunov direct method. Two numerical examples with 4 and 5 agents are shown to verify the result.

Traffic in most developing nations is considered mixed or heterogeneous. Motorcycle and other vehicle's behavior at signalized intersections would not probably have a similar influence on intersection capacity and time of the traffic signals. In theory, the saturation flow rate is a basic parameter to estimate the intersection capacity and time of the traffic signals. This study, therefore, aims to analyze the influence of motorcycle behavior on the saturation flow rate at signalized intersections in Denpasar, Bali. Traffic flow data are observed at four signalized intersection approaches that have similar width and traffic characteristics. Two approaches have exclusive stopping space for motorcycles (ESSM) while the other two do not. The study results show that more than 50% of motorcycles tend to be distributed beside flow at signalized intersections with ESSM on either light or dense traffic flows. In contrast, at the signalized intersections without ESSM, motorcycles are found to be distributed inside flow during low traffic conditions, while distributed beside flow during dense traffic flow. Besides, the saturation flow rates of motorcycle inside flow are less than that of beside flow at signalized intersections both with and without ESSM. A new method to estimate saturation flow is proposed. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The quadcopter has a fairly simple mechanical design because it does not require other drives to perform various movements such as roll, pitch, and yaw. The simplicity of this mechanical design has a considerable impact on the complexity of its control. Therefore, it is necessary to have a good control method to maintain the stability of the quadcopter. The research aims to maintain stability of quadcopter by using a combination of the Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) with the Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) method, where FLC is used to initialize the input of the PID method to find the quadcopter stability point. The application of fuzzy methods for the initial tuning of PID parameters has proven effective in enhancing the system's fundamental performance, such as overshoot, rise time, and settling time, compared to the conventional PID approach. The proposed method can reduce overshoot by over 20%, with reductions reaching up to 88% in yaw motion. Additionally, the Fuzzy-PID approach significantly improves stability, shortening the time to achieve steady-state by less than 1 seconds for all movements while PID did more than 2s for pitch and roll motions and over 1s for yaw motion.

Azadirachta excelsa, is a plant belonging to the same genus as Indian neem (Azadirachta indica), and its use as a pesticide is reported by few studies. Despite being a different species, it is expected to have the same biopesticide potential as A. indica. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the anti-termite activity of n-hexane and methanol extracts of A. excelsa seed kernel at various concentrations against Coptotermes curvignathus. The methanol extract demonstrated greater termicidal activity than n-hexane at doses test of 2%, 4%, and 8%. It also showed 100% termite mortality on the third day of administering the 8% dose. According to the gas chromatography with mass spectrometry data, the putative main components of the n-hexane extract were hexadecanoic acid, ethyl ester (18.99%), 9,12-octadecadienoic acid (Z,Z)-(16.31%), and 9-octadecenal (16.23%). In contrast, the principal constituents of methanol extract were patchouli alcohol (28.1%), delta-guaiene (15.15%), and alpha-guaiene (11.93%). Furthermore, limonoids profiling of A. excelsa methanol extract was determined using Ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole-Orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry. The number of limonoids identified tentatively was fifteen, such as 6-deacetylnimbin, nimbolidin C, nimbolide, 6-acetylnimbandiol, 6-deacetyl-nimbinene, salannol, 28-deoxonimbolide, gedunin, nimbandiol, epoxyazadiradione, azadirone, 2',3'-dihydrosalannin, marrangin, nimbocinol, and azadirachtin. They were the same as those reported in the seed and leaves of A. indica, but its largest component in A. excelsa was 6-deacetylnimbin. As a result, the presence of these compounds may be responsible for the anti-termite activity of A. excelsa seed kernel extract. Additionally, column chromatography of methanol extract yielded 6-deacetylnimbin, which was found to be antifeedant and termiticide against C. curvignathus. © 2023 The Korean Society of Wood Science & Technology.

Information technology support is desperately needed for higher education. Universities must use information technology to effectively and efficiently manage potential resources to compete with other institutions. Utilization of IT in Higher Education Governance, particularly the academic information system at Nusa Nipa University, lacks a structured architecture. The current IT infrastructure is insufficient to respond promptly and precisely to application and business change solutions. This study aims to simplify the process of developing information system architecture by developing an architectural model and an implementation roadmap. This study's design uses the TOGAF ADM model, The organization's initial condition analysis stage is the preliminary requirement management phase; architectural vision; and business architecture. The enterprise architecture design begins with the second stage's information system architecture and technology architecture phases. The subsequent phases of opportunities and solutions, migration planning, and change management, recommendations for implementing enterprise architecture are presented in the third section. The consequences of this study are IT outlines for each engineering stage given the TOGAF ADM structure for business processes in new understudy affirmations frameworks, scholastic cycles, graduated classes, and libraries to help data frameworks at Nusa Nipa College. This research can create a blueprint for IT development suggestions for expected business techniques at Nusa Nipa College.
