The Sawahtambang Sandstone Formation of Sawahlunto, Indonesia has hitherto never been studied in detail to ascertain its depositional processes and its palaeoenvironment. The Sawahtambang Sandstone has more than 394 m thickness which consists of conglomeratic sandstone, sandstone, and clay-silt intercalation within which six lithofacies types (St, Sp, Sh, Ss, Fl, and Fm) appear creating iterated fining upward sequence. Herewith, this paper aims to replenish the avantgarde sedimentological interpretation of the Sawahtambang Sandstone in the intermontane basin of Indonesia based on outcrops along the Trans-Sumatra Highway. The study is attained through facies identification based on stratigraphic measuring section or outcrop profile, studio analysis consists of log analysis and superposition reconstruction, and architectural element delineation according to facies association. Structures in clay-silt facies consist of lamination and fissile whereas in the sand grained include planar and trough cross-bedding, planar lamination and granule lag, which depicts a lower-flow-regime sand channel. The architectural elements that made from facies association are identified into five distinct elements (multi-storey channel, single storey channels, sand bedforms, laminated sand sheet, and floodplain fines), which present a fluvial environment. The relation of the architectural elements demonstrates that the Sawahtambang Sandstone uphold a record of the braided river system that flowed from southwest to northeast in the southwestern part of Ombilin Basin. The dominance of coarse-grained (channel and sandy bedform) element over clay-silt grained (laminated sand sheet and floodplain fines) element and the extensive appearance of thick amalgamated channel elements reinforce the interpretation of a low-sinuous braided fluvial system in which the stacking pattern shows the channel bodies accumulated both lateral via lateral accretion of point bar and via vertical amalgamated streams.

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a part of the practical courses in educational institutions. This research was aimed at investigating: (1) students' knowledge of OSH used in practical courses, (2) students' attitudes toward OSH, and (3) the implementation of OSH in practical courses in the Electronics engineering Education study program, faculty of engineering, Yogyakarta State University. It is a non-experimental study employing a quantitative descriptive approach. This study was conducted in the Electronics engineering Education study program, faculty of engineering, Yogyakarta State University from February to June 2018. The subject of this study included students, lecturers, and technicians. Students' knowledge of OSH in practical courses in the Electronics study program is good (74.2%). Their attitudes toward OSH are also good (92.2%). Although some students do not implement OSH procedures when conducting practical courses, the implementation of OSH in the study program is categorized good (63.3%). Furthermore, more intensive studies on the importance OSH implementation in practical courses needs to done. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Post occupancy evaluation for green building certificated (case study UGM law centre building)

Green building has recently become the main approach in the construction of a building, including in Indonesia. A building that has been certified as a green building does not mean that it has all the components that meet the requirements of comfort, health and safety, especially if the main goal for certification is to pursue energy efficiency in buildings. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of user satisfaction of the UGM Law Learning Center building after the building is certified as a green building. This type of research is a post-occupancy evaluation (POE) in the form of survey research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The steps to be taken are: identification of building performance based on the EDGE instrument, identification of building data, interviews, observations, data search through questionnaires, quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that, in general, the spaces in the building have met the activity needs and user comfort, but there are several aspects that need to be improved, namely: visual comfort, cleanliness, and spatial efficiency.

Industrial ergonomic work design to improve the employee quality of life and productivity at Pt Cita Rasa Palembang

The physical environment of PT Cita Rasa Palembang before it was designed based on industrial ergonomics, it was found that the quality of life of worker was quite heavy and had an impact on productivity which was still not optimal. The main objective of this research is to find out that industrial ergonomic work design can improve the employee quality of life as assessed by decreasing musculoskeletal complaints, fatigue and workload of employees who make Pempek Belida at PT Cita Rasa Palembang, and increase productivity seen from the aspect of the number of Pempek Belida’s sales. This experimental study used a pre and posttest group design, treatment by subjects design and involved 45 samples who were randomly selected stratified with multistage random sampling. The independent variable was the implementation of the results of work design in the form of industrial ergonomic. The dependent variables are (a) the employee quality of life as assessed from indicators of musculoskeletal complaints, fatigue, and workload, and (b) increasing the percentage of employee productivity who make Pempek Belida at PT Cita Rasa Palembang. The data obtained between before and after the implementation of the results of industrial ergonomic work design will be analyzed using paired t test at a significance level of 5% (α=0.05). The results of the research on work design who made Pempek Belida at PT Cita Rasa Palembang through industrial ergonomic which: increased the percentage of employee quality of life significantly (p <0.05) seen from: decreased musculoskeletal complaints by 25.02%; decrease employee fatigue by 20.20%; and decrease in workload by 21.30%; and (b) increasing the percentage of employee productivity by 15.15%

Spinal Tuberculosis could cause abnormalities in the lower extremity, even after the surgery and can be treated with Ankle-Foot Orthoses (AFO). The patient with that condition has to stabilize their body because it tends to fall forward. Thus, a ventral AFO is needed to support them. This study aims to evaluate AFO design by using Finite Element Method (FEM) with two different thickness (2 and 4 mm). The material used was a Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). Three subphases in the stance phase were simulated, namely initial contact, midstance, and terminal stance. The external force in the simulation was based on the patient’s weight (50 kg). The result showed that the highest stress was obtained from ventral AFO with a thickness of 2 mm at the terminal stance, 244.7 MPa. This value exceeded the Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) of PET which indicates the design would break. The ventral AFO with a thickness of 4 mm had lower stress than the UTS of PET. The strain of both designs was quite low with the maximum value of 0.019 from the ventral AFO with a thickness of 4 mm in the terminal stance. The deformation was also acceptable for both designs with the highest value of 39.67 mm from the ventral AFO with a thickness of 2 mm in the midstance. In conclusion, the ventral AFO with a thickness of 4 mm could be used for post-surgery spinal tuberculosis patient’s rehabilitation. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The purpose of the study was to prove that the revitalization of the ergo-spiritually oriented Melukat place can improve the physiological fitness and caring attitude of the community towards the maintenance and preservation of Water Resources in Peliatan Village. The method used is a quasi-experimental and the research design is a posttest only group design. The independent variables, revitalization of the Melukat site ergo-spiritually oriented and the dependent variables: (1) physiological fitness with indicators of pulse rate, musculoskeletal complaints, and respiration frequency; (2) community understanding of water resources maintenance strategies; and (3) community care attitude towards water resources maintenance strategy. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively by looking for the percentage change and continued with the paired t difference test because the data were normally distributed at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that: (1) there was a significant increase in physiological fitness (p<0.05) seen from the improvement in physiological responses to: (a) pulse rate as a physiological load parameter by 15.3%, (b) musculoskeletal system by 17.2%, and (c) respiratory frequency of 11.5%, (2) attitude of caring for the community towards the maintenance strategy of 27.8%, and (3) preparedness of community care for the preservation of Water Resources by 23.6% between before and after revitalization. The conclusion, that the revitalization of the ergo-spiritually oriented Melukat place can improve physiological fitness and people's caring attitudes towards the maintenance and preservation of Water Resources.

Watering and liquid fertilization carried out by plant owners are still manual, where the owner's involvement in these two things requires a long free time until the plants are wet and adequate fertilization is achieved. In other conditions, more attention to the survival and maintenance of plants through watering and fertilization is an absolute necessity so that plants do not wilt easily and eventually die. A solution for watering and fertilizing liquids is automatically offered through the design of watering and fertilizing liquids with a microcontroller as a control center based on Internet of Things communication. The tool is designed to automatically water and fertilize plants and generate a remote monitoring system for soil moisture using the *** application. The method used in realizing this design includes several stages, namely system block diagram planning, electrical and mechanical system planning, software design, and system testing to prove the tool can work properly according to the initial design. Supporting components for controlling watering and liquid fertilization using Wemos D1 R1, Capacitive soil moisture sensor as a soil moisture sensor, Real-Time Clock (RTC) module as a fertilizer timer. Relay that functions as a switch to turn the pump on and off. The results of the performance of the designed tool can do watering automatically when the soil moisture level is below 20% and will stop when the soil moisture is more than 40%. Meanwhile, liquid fertilization will automatically work according to a predetermined time. The existing monitoring system is accessed using smartphones and computers with the help of the *** application as long as the device is connected to the internet network. Environmental awareness has recently emerged as one of the most crucial topics. As a result, various groups advocate for these technologies and research ways to promote their usage in various contexts. This study examines the factors influencing the intention and use of green technology among academics. This study integrates Price Value (PV) and Consideration of future consequence (CFC) to Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) as a theoretical basis. Two hundred five valid replies were gathered and processed through statistical analysis. The results of this study partly support the developed hypotheses. Four hypotheses developed from TPB have presented significant relationships. However, PV and CFC were not. The findings indicate that individuals in this study did not consider CFC or PV of green IT products as critical factors in their decision-making process. Findings also suggest that for implementation success, competent parties must consider the campaign to increase individual awareness and provide financial support regarding environmental policy.

Building design recommendation for thermal comfort in cities on the island of Java, Indonesia

Thermal comfort is a person's state of mind that expresses a person's level of satisfaction with his environment. Optimal thermal comfort can be achieved by considering several factors, including building orientation, air conditioning, position and size of openings, building materials, and others. The purpose of this study is to find recommendations for designing thermal comfort in cities on the island of Java using Mahoney Tables. Mahoney Tables is a collection of reference tables used in construction as climate-friendly design references. In this study, climate and meteorological data will be taken in certain cities on the island of Java. From the results of the above discussion, it can be concluded that the building must pay attention to 4 aspects, namely openings, the building must have wide openings located on the south-north side of the building and the openings must be as high as the human body; The room must be one room without a partition; Building envelopes, buildings must be protected from direct sunlight and rain by paying attention to the selection of materials; and building utilities must pay attention to drainage. The recommendations above are expected to be used by architects/researchers who will design/research buildings to be comfortable.

Efficiency analysis of a 150 Wp solar power system as a water pump electric power source

The 1970 – 1979 when a world energy crisis occurred and since then new and renewable energy has started to gain attention. Water and electricity are very important sources of life. Solar energy can be used to turn on a water pump through a solar power generation system as a water pump energy source. it is very important to know the level of efficiency of the PV module as a solar energy absorber that will produce current and voltage values. This solar power system will be equipped with 150 Wp PV, SCC, Battery, Inverter and also a 125 watt Pump. To determine the efficiency level of PV as a water pump power system, observations and measurements carried out for data collection for one day. The measurement shows that the highest voltage at 15:00 WIB 20.85 Voc with a temperature of 34.95°C with a current of 4.80 Isc when solar radiation is 560 W/m^2 and produces a power of 100.08 watts with an input power of 563 watts and an efficiency value of 17%. While the lowest voltage at 12:00 WIB 18.60 Voc when the temperature 41.16 °C and the current generated 6.90 Isc with solar radiation of 1013 W/m^2 and the power generated 128.34 watts with an input power of 1019 watts and the resulting efficiency 12%. Temperature is the main factor in the voltage generated, while solar radiation will affect the current output to be generated by PV. Incoming and outgoing power will determine the efficiency of the PV system as a water pump power source.
