Fishing can be done in various ways, including by utilizing lights as fishing tools. The lights used for fishing tools are varied, ranging from torch lights, pressure paraffin lamp, fluorescent lamps (TL, PL, SL, CFL), mercury, and various types of led. However, light transition between one colors to another often scares the fish, driving them out of catchable area shocked by the color change. One solution to address this problem is by smoothly switching the color of the lamp using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) system on the microcontroller. The color used are the lamp with basic colors of red, green and blue. With power capacity of 50Watt/12Volt, this lamp is classified as High Power Led (HPL) lamp. The light can be free-adjusted, where each lamp can be turned on by its own light or can also be turned on in combination. It can slowly be switch on from an off position to maximum and also can be dimmed from maximum to off. Thus the intensity of the light can be controlled. The HPL and control sections were created separately. Tools and materials used are consist of push-button, microcontroller, optocoupler, mosfet and Red, Green and Blue HPL, Radio-meter (ILT5000 Research Radiometer), Voltmeter, and Amperemeter. The method used was experimental in both laboratory and field. The result of research is in the form of RGB HPL lamp which can be adjusted through control system, such as adjusment for each lamp, or light combination with smooth color transition. Thus, when this technology is applied as fishing tool in liftnet fishing, the targeted fish would still remain on catchable area. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Complaint resolution that arise due to internal and external factors in a company can be monitored through the Service Recovery Index (SRI), and SRI is developed through a number of factors that influence it. Meanwhile, the SRI model needs to be developed to see the business sustainability through implementation knowledge management system in the organization. The data collection method was carried out, starting with building a research instrument based on knowledge management theory and continued with observation and distributing questionnaires to respondents who were involved in the business process of managing SRI. The data analysis method was used to process the data from the questionnaire, factor analysis method was used and the method to build the model used was the regression analysis method. The results obtained from this study are the discovery of 4 (four) factors with a number of indicators that are grouped on each formed factor, which can then be made and built a readiness model that reflects current conditions, so that it can be used to build predictions in the future related to readiness. implementation of knowledge management system development in order to support increased understanding of the service recovery index in the organization.

The geochemical method is one of the methods used to know the characteristics of hot spring, and the estimation of subsurface temperature or geothermal reservoir. Analysis of chemical properties of hot springs through thermal chemistry by using trilinear diagram. The methods used are literature study and field observations such as mapping the distribution of hot water spring, titrimetric laboratory analysis, gravimetric, and spectrophotometer for the analysis of hot water spring through the geochemical approach in determining the type of hot water spring. The average temperature of 480C and pH of 7,85, clear color, smelled sulfur and taste salty. The result on the percentage value of the ion content in the hot springs samples that have been analyzed their chemical content, especially the anion content of CI, SO42−, and HCO3− CO32− indicates that hot spring type of Barasanga is a type of chloride. This is indicated by the large chloride ion content ranging from 85.486% to 90.627%.

Jambi City has a Sludge Treatment Plant (IPLT) located in Talang Bakung. IPLT Talang Bakung processes sludge from household septic tanks. The processing consists of 1 anaerobic pond, 3 facultative ponds and 3 maturation ponds. The result of processing at IPLT is water that can be discharged into water bodies and sludge. The sludge still can be used, but it must be processed first. One of the sludge processing is a composting process. The composting process consists of two types, namely the composting process aerobically and anaerobically. This study aimed to compare the results of aerobic and anaerobic composting from IPLT sludge mixed with organic matter. Compost characteristics that are reviewed in this study are physical characteristics, those are water content and biological characteristics, namely pathogenic bacteria. The parameters measured in this study were the temperature, pH and number of Fecal Coliform bacteria at the beginning and end of the study. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Wastewater produced by batik industry in Cibelok Village, Pemalang that is disposed straight into the sewage will increase the concentration of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), ammonia (NH3), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), chromium (Cr), lead (Pb), watercolour, acidity (pH), and dissolved oxygen (DO). Disposed batik wastewater without treatment will contaminate the environment, mainly its water and soil. The main purpose of this research is to reduce the concentration of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), ammonia (NH3), chromium (Cr), lead (Pb), watercolour, acidity, and dissolved oxygen (DO) by treating batik Cibelok's waste and not contaminate the surrounding environment. Laboratory test results on batik waste in COD, BOD, DO, ammonia, chromium, lead, colour, and acidity (pH). These results are not in accordance with the 2014 Waste Water Quality Standard Number 5 by the Regulation of the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia. Alternatives that have been done to treat Cibelok Village's batik waste is to lower dangerous substances concentration through electrocoagulation and filtration. The processes could lower COD level around 57.6%, ammonia 98%, chromium 85%, and BOD 67%. Reducing the concentration of the substance makes the batik waste safer and environmentally friendly when it's finally disposed to the sewage. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd.

Estimation of reservoir temperature using geothermometer method at Pakis Dadu and Candi Dukuh geothermal springs, Mount Telomoyo complex, Yogyakarta

Indonesia has potential geothermal energy reaching 28,617 MegaWatt which is 40 of the total world geothermal potential. There are many areas with geothermal potential in Indonesia that have not been explored, especially exploitation related to their utilization. One area on Java Island that requires further investigation is Telomoyo Volcano. This study aims to look at the geothermal system and estimate the reservoir temperature using the geothermometer. Geothermometer methods are used for temperature calculations involving the concentrations of Na, K, Ca. The results of the analysis show that the type of fluid is Chloride water. The results of plotting the concentrations of sodium (Na), potassium (K), and magnesium (Mg) show that they are all in the immature water zone. The estimated temperature of the subsurface reservoir of Pakis Dadu hot spring is ± 188 °C and Dukuh Temple hot spring is ± 171 °C. 5. The geothermal system in the study area is classified as a liquid-dominated system. According to the lineament analysis and the fault fracture density map indicate that the manifestations emerge on the surface from the outflow zone, which is controlled by the existence of geological structures. The utilization of geothermal potential in the research area as hot spring baths and high-temperature reservoirs that are good for being developed into geothermal power plants.

Lithium adsorption behaviour from Ciseeng geothermal brine water onto Amberlite resin

Lithium extraction from geothermal brines has recently become a strong interest due to the large volume of lithium resources in over 2000 geothermal wells and hot springs worldwide. This article discusses the adsorption behavior of lithium contained in local geothermal brine water originating from the Ciseeng geothermal field in Bogor Regency, West Java Province of Indonesia, by Amberlite IR-120 Na resin. The lithium uptake and the selectivity of lithium adsorption by Amberlite IR 120 Na resin towards alkaline and alkaline earth elements contained in the geothermal brine samples, the equilibrium behavior, and adsorption kinetics were studied. The experimental results show that lithium adsorption increased by the increase in contact time of brine water and Amberlite IR 120 in 4-day continuous adsorption and reached a maximum level at day-3 to 0.0356 mmol/g Li. Li adsorption decreased after day-3, indicating that the Li adsorption had reached an equilibrium state at day-3. The highest adsorption recovery during 4-day continuous adsorption is exhibited by K, followed by Li, Na, Ca, and Mg. Considering a low adsorption percentage of Li (maximum 36.6%) but still higher than that of Ca, Mg, and Na, the adsorption parameters are still to be improved. Linear fitting of the experimental data on the four different isotherm adsorption models indicated that the lithium adsorption from Ciseeng brine fit mostly with Freundlich and Temkin model with an adsorption capacity of the Amberlite IR 120 of 0.051 mg/g. Based on the linear fitting procedure of the experimental data to four different kinetics models, the lithium adsorption from Ciseeng brine onto Amberlite resin follows the Elovich kinetic model (R2 = 0.986), which indicates the dominant chemisorption mechanism in the lithium adsorption process.

Composite materials are a combination of several materials to form a new material with specific properties. Chemical compatibility of the constituent materials is a factor that affects the characteristics of composite materials. Currently, composite phase change materials (PCM) are commonly applied as thermal energy storage systems. This study investigated the characteristics of beef tallow/rice husk charcoal/plaster PCM composite. The weight fraction of rice husk charcoal used was 10%. To prevent leakage of beef tallow from the composite structure, the researcher used polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) to cover the tallow/RHC composite before mixing it with plaster material. As much as 30% of the tallow/RHC/PVAc composite weight fraction is integrated into the plaster. PCM composite was made by using a direct incorporation method. The FTIR test results on the PCM composites produced showed good chemical compatibility among different components. The scanning electron microscope results showed the formation of microcapsules where the rice husk charcoal and polyvinyl acetate functions as a wrapper/capsule for beef tallow. This composite is suitable for application in building walls as thermal energy storage.

Red chili peppers are extensively used in the culinary industry due to their high vitamin C, antioxidant content, spice, and natural colorant properties. Traditional methods for determining these parameters are time-consuming and unstable. This study investigates the viability of visible near-infrared spectroscopy as a rapid and nondestructive method for determining vitamin C content and antioxidant activity in intact red chilies. Visible near-infrared spectroscopy measures the sample's light absorption, proportional to its chemical composition. Collecting intact red chili samples from various sources and determining their vitamin C content and antioxidant activity using conventional methods were required for the study. The visible near-infrared spectra of the pieces were collected using a spectrometer, and chemometric models were devised to correlate the spectra with the vitamin C content and antioxidant activity. Traditional methods were compared to visible near-infrared spectroscopy regarding their performance of prediction. In conjunction with chemometric models and machine learning algorithms, visible near-infrared spectroscopy could accurately predict red chilies' vitamin C content and antioxidant activity. The developed models exhibited high calibration and prediction coefficients, low root mean square errors, and high prediction-to-deviation ratios. The identified absorption peaks in the visible near-infrared spectra were related to the samples' color pigments and water content. This study demonstrates the feasibility of visible near-infrared spectroscopy as a rapid and nondestructive method for determining the vitamin C content and antioxidant activity of intact red chilies. The findings may have significant ramifications for the food industry, providing a more efficient and secure quality control and nutritional labeling method. Heat transfer performance of serpentine mini-channel cold plate in various Reynolds numbers

The electric vehicle showcases a promising development in the future. Recently, the most reliable power storage for such a system is a Li-ion battery. The performance of this battery, however, relies on the thermal management system implemented on the vehicle. Albeit having a sufficient performance for the current state of an electric vehicle, enhancement is necessary to make sure that the future requirement is within the remit of the cooling system. One of the simple but powerful enhancements is by employing a mini-channel cold plate. In this study, the performance of a serpentine mini-channel cold plate in various Reynolds numbers (Re) was investigated experimentally. The results illustrate a better mean of cooling of high Re flow, indicated by the lower surface temperature and higher heat transfer coefficient up to 2.1 W/m2·K. Additionally, the performance was then compared to the pressure drop to represent the efficiency of the pumping power requirement of such a system. The highest h/ΔP is observed at Re = 2130.33 which correspond to the mass flow rate of 0.5 LPM. It was found that although having a higher heat transfer coefficient, the efficiency is much lower due to pressure drop rise as the mass flow rate increases.
