Digital filter effect of the ventilator tester parameters to identify inflation phases

A ventilator is a breathing support device that serves as a therapeutic tool or treatment tool for patients with respiratory system failure caused by various health problems or diseases. On ventilators, there are crucial parameters that need to be monitored in advance, such as inspiration–expiration (I:E) ratio, respiration rate, tidal volume, peak inspiration pressure (PIP), positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP), and oxygen concentration. To monitor those parameters, a ventilator tester is needed. In this paper, we analyzed the effect of a digital filter in the ventilator tester, COVENT-Tester, to identify the inflation phase in the ventilator parameters. The results show that the digital filter is not effective in measuring I:E ratio and respiration rate because of the delay in inspiration and expiration time. However, the digital filter is effective in measuring tidal volume, PIP, PEEP, and oxygen concentration.

The purpose of this study is to know and locate the distribution of open defecation houses in East Surabaya of Surabaya City, Indonesia. Both of secondary and primary data are required for this research, the secondary data consist of the number of OD houses in East Surabaya and basic map of Surabaya City. Primary data consist of field survey OD houses of legal and illegal status. Mapping is conducted with mapping software based on geographical information system. The result of this research proves that there are 1.083 OD houses in East Surabaya and it is equally distributed throughout East Surabaya. The most OD sub-district (Kelurahan) is Gubeng with approximately 319 houses while the least is Kelurahan Tambaksari with 23 houses. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd.

Sumatra Island is a highly seismic active region due to its close location to the convergent zone between the Indo-Australian and Eurasian plates, and the existence of the Great Sumatran Fault (GSF). These conditions caused the island of Sumatra suffered from hundreds of earthquakes with Mw > 4 per year. Particularly, a 9.0 Mw Sumatra-Andaman 2004 earthquake occured in northern Sumatra which changed the in-situ stress and seismicity pattern. In such case, quantifying the tectonic stress perturbation prior and after 2004 Sumatra-Andaman earthquake is becoming key issue in assessing the seismic hazard. To invert the in-situ stress information in Sumatra, first we identify the fault plane from its auxiliary plane in the focal mechanism solutions using the fault instability criterion. Multi-channel analysis of surface wave (MASW) is a suitable technique to infer shallow structure of vertical shear-wave velocity profile from seismic record data. The processing stage is focused on obtaining the reliable dispersion curves, and the final stage of the method is that to obtain the shear velocity model that can explain the observation. The genetic algorithm (GA) method, one of the global optimization approaches, has been implemented to obtain shear wave model from Rayleigh wave dispersion curve. The GA method mimic biological evolution in order to obtain the optimum solution. Application of GA method to two synthetic models for normal velocity profile and low velocity anomaly give good results indicated with small misfit. Finally, we demonstrate the GA to Rayleigh dispersion curve for real data which calculated by using phase-shift method. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

On 26 May 2006 at 22:53:59 UTC, an earthquake with moment magnitude of 6.4 occurred in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The source of the event is still debatable. Some believe the event was caused by the reactivation of the Opak Fault which has a left-lateral type movement. Previous studies indicated there are two possibilities to explain the mechanism of the Yogyakarta earthquake. First is based on the focal mechanism from NIED (National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster) Japan which indicated that the event occurred in an oblique reverse slip. This model states that the complex Opak fault is a flower structure (strike-slip) type. Second is based on NEIC (National Earthquake Information Center) US which indicated that the event was caused by a pure strike-slip fault (active Opak fault). The May 26th earthquake triggered many aftershock events around the old Opak fault. The majority of aftershock events on 3-6 June 2006 were located around 5 km east of Opak fault. It has a trendline of N45°E and lies parallel with the Opak fault. We use Coulomb Stress change to determine which type of source model fit better the aftershocks pattern. The target fault for Coulomb Stress analysis is a left lateral pure strike slip with an orientation of N45°E/90°SE. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

In the past 2 years, we have been conducting routine hypocenter relocation in Indonesia. We compiled and conducted hypocenter relocation of ∼50.000 events from a magnitude of 1.4 to 8.5 recorded by 451 stations around and outside Indonesia region. We used local, regional, and teleseismic arrival time data from Indonesian Agency of Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (BMKG) catalog from April 2009 to March 2018. We performed teleseismic double-difference relocation inversion using our previous study of 3D seismic velocity model beneath the Indonesian region with grid size 1° by 1° for inside Indonesia region and 1D global seismic velocity model from AK135 for outside Indonesia region. This method improved limitation from BMKG earthquake data catalog in which events were recorded from scattered seismic station array and insufficient azimuthal gap around Indonesia. Our results show that travel-time RMS residuals were greatly reduced compared to those of the BMKG catalog and the hypocenter location shows significant improvement, refining to the geological structure, especially trench and major faults. These hypocenter relocation results can be helpful for another seismic study in Indonesia region that required a precise hypocenter location e.g. body wave tomography and probability seismic hazard analysis. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. In this study, the manufacture of palm shell activated carbon was obtained from PT Inti Sentosa Alam Bahtera (ISAB) Lampung. The content of cellulose is quite large, namely 45% and hemicellulose 26%, which causes this oil palm shell to be used as a basic material for making activated carbon. This study proposes to modify activated carbon using magnetite (AC-Fe3O4). Modified physical-chemical activated carbon is exhausted as an adsorbent which has the advantage of facilitating the filtration or separation process with the adsorbate. The adsorbent test used an adsorbate in the form of heavy metal ions Pb(II). The XRD characterization of AC-Fe3O4 has intensity peaks at 2θ at 30, 35, 43, and 56° which are consistent with the XRD pattern of magnetite. SEM-EDX characterization was also carried out to see differences in morphology and elemental composition between unmodified activated carbon and AC-Fe3O4. Then the external range analysis was carried out using the BET (surface area) method. As well as identification of the amount of metal ions Pb(II) adsorbed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The test results on the adsorbent (AC-Fe3O4) were carried out at the optimum variation, namely the adsorbent dose of 0.1 grams, contact time of 120 minutes, and at a dilution of 300 mg/L. Based on the zeta potential, the pH of PZC was obtained, namely 6 as the pH of the adsorbate solution with a Q value (number of Pb(II) ions adsorbed) of 6.175 mg/g. Adsorption isotherms tend to follow the pattern of Freundlich adsorption isotherms.

Currently, energy needs are one of the sources of human life that cannot be separated. Energy can be classified into two, energy sourced from fossils of living things and plants, with high rice production, making gasification tools an alternative to the use of rice husks into energy. Gasification is a thermochemical process of converting solid fuels into gas thus gasification using this resource is itself a renewable energy. This research is experimental. The air flow rate valve is set at speed = 2.2 m/s for the glowplug variation 3, 2.5m/s for the glowplug variation 4, 2.6m/s for the glowplug variation 5, 2.9 m/s for the glowplug variation 6 with Air Fuel Ratio (AFR)) 0.7%, 0.8%, 0.9%, 1%. With the glowplug variation, the highest temperature is up to 888°C with 1% AFR.

Regional Water Supply Company (RWSC) of Ternate City is a company managed by the local government which in its operation needs to prioritize the fulfillment of clean water for communities. Therefore the services of RWSC should based on the standards of quality service provided by the National Agency for the Improvement of Drinking Water Supply System. On the other side, the demand for clean water supply and services is increasing every year. This is caused by an increase in population and the development of cities or service areas relating to the improvement of the socio-economic. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of water supply service providers in Ternate City. Data analysis based on the guidelines from the National Agency for the Improvement of Drinking Water Supply System involves several indicators such as the financial aspects, service aspects, operational aspects, and aspects of human resources. The result shows that the score of the financial reaches 0.92, the service aspect 0.88, the operational aspect 0.88, and the human resource aspect 0.52. These results show that the performance of Regional Water Supply Company (RWSC) of Ternate City achieves score 3.2 and it indicates that the performance of Regional Water Supply Company (RWSC) of Ternate City in the healthy category.

The rapid advancement of information technology requires us to always keep abreast of the times in the current global era, the ease of information from various technologies, especially internet technology in internet access services so that it directly facilitates information about fast fashion products that provide many advantages and convenience in following the latest fashion trends. especially youth fashion among students as part of self-existentialization efforts, thus making them behave consumptively. The aims of this study are (1) to find out the latest technology in fast fashion (2) to find out what factors influence students' consumption behavior towards fast fashion. In this study, the population was UNY students, with a sample size of 382 students who were taken randomly. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. This research took place from February 2021 - June 2021. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire with statements consisting of fast fashion consumption behavior. Questionnaires were distributed to respondents online. The results of the study show that (1) internet technology through social media significantly influences buying decisions for fast fashion products. (2) consumer behavior based on the theory of planned behavior in terms of Attitude Toward Behavior, Subjective Norm, Perceived behavior control on average, female undergraduate students of the faculty of engineering, who are between the ages of 20 have a higher tendency to consume fast fashion products. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire with statements consisting of fast fashion consumption behavior. Questionnaires were distributed to respondents online.
