Well casing and cement temperature can change during geothermal production operation. The change of temperature occurs because of the heat transfer from the geothermal fluid to the formation. The heat transfer occurs because of the temperature difference in geothermal fluid and formation. The heat of fluid moves to the casing, cement, and formation through convection and conduction. This research aims to develop the heat transfer model in the steam production well, predict the steam heat loss and its effect on every 100 m well increment, and predict the well casing and cement temperature distribution and their effect on every well segment. The heat transfer model is an analytical calculation model developed to be the base of the calculation of heat loss and a temperature drop of well casing and cement. This model was developed for the calculation of heat loss in steam production well. The model was compared with a simulator to test the suitability. The fluid flow pressure drop and well lithology were considered in this model. The heat loss was very low during the steam production. The heat loss could be higher, along with the formation temperature drop. The material thermal conductivity and the well segment's layer thickness could affect the steam heat transfer in the production well.

Building performance can be improved by investigating and evaluating previews of occupant behavior. Post-occupancy evaluation (POE) is a design analysis method used to direct and evaluate the physical and social elements of inhabited buildings. In recent years, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing grants student dormitory building to several Indonesian universities. In 2017, Institut Teknologi Sumatera (ITERA) Bandar Lampung Indonesia has been granted two of those student facilities. The building has been operated for three years. The student dormitory considered has one type of building that has a high capacity occupation. This research aims to measure user satisfaction and evaluate building facility and its implication to student learning effectively using the POE method, specifically human behavior aspects. During this time, POE is more focused on building physical behavior that includes energy and thermal aspects. In this study, the author tries to raise aspects of human behavior as an essential element supporting the sustainability of the building. The survey conducted using eight variables: territoriality, privacy, interaction, perception, crowdedness, adaptability, durability, and comfortability. This research focuses on measuring only female student dormitories. One hundred eighty-two respondents were involved in the survey. The result shows that the majority of respondents feel quite satisfied with all the variable measure. This finding can be a reference to improve the design consideration for future student dormitory design.

There are many uses of natural ingredients to find out their potential in overcoming Coronavirus Disease 2019. One of the plants that is often used to treat various diseases, including SARS-Cov2 infection is turmeric. Turmeric contains Tetrahydroxycurcumin compounds. The aim of this research was to study the potential of Tetrahydroxycurcumin in preventing infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The results showed that Tetrahydroxicurcumin has the potential to inhibit Tyrosine protein kinase ABL1, which is a protein that plays a role in the preparation of the cytoskeleton during viral infection. The binding affinity of Tetrahydroxycurcumin for this protein is -8.4 kcal/mol.

Transportation planning, as the design of infrastructure needs and transportation service for the existence of an area, is an important factor for growth and sustainability of a region. Nowadays, the increase of vehicle number is not followed by the extending of infrastructure road, resulting in traffic jam in certain roads. The congestion occurring causes the increase of travel time so it will interfere the productivity of various sectors. The purpose of this study was to determine the vehicle operating costs (VOC) by using the Pacific Consultant International (PCI) method. This PCI method consisted of fixed costs and variable costs, in which the results were added to find out the total vehicle operating costs (VOC) per vehicle and vehicle operating costs (VOC) per day. The results showed that the vehicle operating costs (VOC) via the toll road were smaller than the costs of the existing road. Operational costs of vehicles (VOC) of passenger cars, buses, and trucks that passed the existing road in the morning peak hours were IDR 10.120,88, IDR 23.803,97, and IDR 25366.62 sequentially, whereas if those groups of vehicles passing via the toll road, showed the price respectively IDR 7.107,93, IDR 19.434,12 and IDR 22.180,15.

Settling-pond treatment systems have been applied in the base-metal mining area at Sangkaropi, South Sulawesi, Indonesia, before being discharged into the Koyan River through the agriculture area. This study aims to conduct a valuation of pollutant Pb, Cu and Zn in areas impacted by base-metal mining in sediment materials as a sensitive indicator for monitoring contaminants in the aquatic environment. Sediment sampling location, the first is in the upstream before the mining location, the second is located in the mining area to settling pond, and the third is in the area after settling-pond to the agriculture area. The concentrations of heavy metal were analyzed using uses AAS method. The assessment is performed based on the value of contamination degree, enrichment of heavy metal pollutant and ecological risk. The arrangement of the average frequency of heavy metal concentrations is Pb>Cu>Zn, which Cf and I-geo values have the almost same behavior. All metal in the upstream and agriculture site is classified as a low category, the Cu on the second and third sites is moderate. The assessment results from this study represent that Pb has a considerable ecological risk category value. However, polluted-Cu are categorized moderately need to be cautious, because metal enrichment comes from mineralization bedrock in the river. Therefore, the result of this study shows that geologic data, especially mineralized bedrocks associated the heavy metal concentration, should be taken into consideration in land-use planning policy in areas that have been impacted by mining and in the assessment of environmental health impacts.

Mudi Field, Tuban is an oil and gas producing area in East Java. Pad B Mudi Field is an office area for the oil and gas industry. The oil and gas industrial office area in Pad B Mudi Field produces domestic wastewater, which is channeled into the Cangkring River. Domestic wastewater flows directly into rivers. This study aims to determine the water quality of the Cangkring River region, which is mixed with domestic wastewater from Pad B Mudi Field. Samples of river water were taken at 3 points along with the river flow. Sample evaluation included physical, chemical, and biological characteristics. Sample test results were adjusted according to domestic wastewater quality standards and water quality standards. Parameters tested include temperature, TSS, pH, BOD5, COD, ammonia (NH3), phosphate (PO43-), chromium, oils and fats, and total coliforms. The highest values of the three samples for each parameter were temperature of 20.8 °C, TSS of 13 mg/L, pH of 7.8, BOD5 of 6.53 mg/L, COD of 17.38 mg/L, ammonia (NH3) of 6.13 mg/L, phosphate (PO43-) of 1.15 mg/L, chromium of 0.01 mg/L, oils and fats of 1.6 mg/L, and total coliform of 2400/100 mL. The values of the three points of the Cangkring River water test results met all the parameters of the domestic wastewater quality standards. In testing water quality standards, Cangkring River water met all parameters of class 4 water quality standards, namely water quality that can be used to irrigate agriculture. So it can be concluded that the condition of the Cangkring River water is safe for the community but is not suitable for drinking water, recreational infrastructure, and aquaculture.

DC motor is a type of motor that is widely used in industry, electronics and supporting components for some electronic equipment or instrumentation. But now the PID controller is still widely used in various industrial sectors, this is due to its toughness to overcome various problems that exist in the industry. But there is one drawback that is the tuning method, the tuning process must be done by trial and error. More tuning procedures done manually by trial and error method that the result is not necessarily true. To overcome these problems required an alternative approach that can achieve a relatively better value and faster to perform the tuning process. In this case the alternative method used is tuning with Ziegler Nichols. Based on the simulation performed with the controlled torch, the value of the disturbance with the controller Kp = 3,6, Ki = 2,857 and Kd = 1,134 happened to the motor rotation at the lowest interference occurred at 1818 RPM while the highest rotation disturbance reached 2177 RPM from the nominal rotation speed of 2000 RPM for 80 seconds and suffered a friction coefficient of about 20 seconds.

Sadar Sub-watershed is one of 32 Brantas sub-watersheds located in the southern part of Mojokerto district and parts of the city of Mojokerto. Based on government regulation (PP) No 26 of 2008, Mojokerto is one of the national strategic areas from the point of view of economic interests. The National Strategic Area (KSN) with an economic interest point of view has an important role for national development, because these areas have the potential for a fast-growing economy and a leading sector capable of driving the national economy. This economic growth must be supported by the availability of various supporting facilities, one of which is the provision of clean water. The current condition of the existence of clean water is decreasing due to various reasons. The purpose of this research is to predict the availability of water in the future as a basis a water resources planning. The stages of the research are as follows: (1). Secondary data collection in the study. The data is used to calculate current water availability and predict future water availability. Primary data is in the form of interviews with groundwater users and experts. (2) Data Analysis. (3) Build the model of water availability in the study area. (4) Simulation of water availability in the study area under various scenario (5). Model validation. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of land-use change on water availability in the sub-basin. Water conservation scenarios can maintain water availability in the future.
