Jongkong reservoir creates a reservoir of water that is used for the purposes of raw water as fundamental media for improvement of drinking water production especially at dry season for the District of Koba. The advantage of being able to hold water in wet season and releasing it in dry season will be detained if the life storage of the reservoir can be utilized effectively, but sedimentation problem will decrease its volume which can influence the life time of reservoir. Finally the reservoir becomes less effective, so it is very important to study. The method which is used to predict an average erosion rate in the catchment area considers factors of rain erosivity, soil erodibility, ground inclination of slope or slope length, management of crop and land, soil conservation. Calculation was done by using the USLE equation (Universal Soil Loss Equation) which was developed by Wischmeier and Smith (1965, 1978). From this research result, the prediction of surface erosion rate in the basin catchment area in the year 2019 is equal to 53.20 mm/year or equivalent with 62,491.92 m3/year, and the value of Sediment Delivery Ratio (SDR) is equal to 32,28 %. The number of material which eroded is equal to 957.59 Ton/Ha/year so it is classified into the medium erosion class category. The dead storage of 5% of the the volume of the reservoir cage will be fully charged in the year 2022 or for 3 The next year and the total volume of the reservoir Ridge will be full of sediment in the year 2062 or 43 years.

Construction installations built with stainless steel are the main choice of the list of materials that can be used for construction near the sea. With the recent discovery of tungsten inert gas (TIG) technology, construction with stainless steel can be realized. In some cases stainless steel welding joints are made by connecting with stainless steel of different types without regard to the strength generated especially if experiencing corrosion in this case corrosion due to sea water. In this study the tensile strength of stainless steel combination joints of type 304-201 was tested and compared with similar joints of types 304-304 and 201-201. The effect of seawater corrosion on the tensile strength of stainless steel joints was also examined. This research found that the highest tensile strength is 304-304 joints followed by 304-201 combination connections and the lowest is 201-201 joints. The effect of seawater corrosion is known to reduce the tensile strength of all types of joints.

The background of this study is to determine human factors as key factors that are very important in increasing company competitiveness. The way the company manages this factor is by applying the concept of talent management. PT. Pindad Enjiniring Indonesia (PT PEI) is one of the companies that is implementing the concept, but obstacles are found at managerial level in the company, where the performance appraisal and potential are very slow. Meanwhile, the results of the assessment are needed to determine the right management for the employee's career. Therefore, companies need what is called a Talent Pool. The term Talent Pool in Talent Management is a tool used as a talent centre to classify, recommend, and develop employee talent used by several companies or experts. In this tool, the classification process uses the HAV 5X5 Matrix which will be developed into an information system design using the FAST method. The Talent Pool design is expected to be a tool to present performance and potential assessments, speed up the assessment process to present the results of the assessment, classify results to determine employee competencies, and be able to be the best recommendation tool in determining an employee's career path.

The associative property of addition facilitates the change of the group member. If the group members are molecules, can we apply this property to study a chemical reaction? The aim of this paper is to use the associative property of addition to design reaction pathways of methyl acetate hydrolysis in the acid environment. The reaction is found in Alzheimer’s Disease. We evaluate the designed pathways using activation energy obtained from density functional theory calculation. The results show the associative property of addition can be used to design four reaction pathways of the hydrolysis. The calculations show the acidity significantly affected the activation energy. This result agrees with the common knowledge. Hence, we have demonstrated the usefulness of the associative property of addition in designing chemical reaction pathways.

Aluminium in water treatment sludge can be recovered as coagulants by acidification method. However, there are some factors that affect efficiency in recovering aluminium, such as stirring speed during acidification, pH, and sludge characteristic. This study aims to find the optimum acidification stirring speed in recovering alum and to evaluate the performance of recovered coagulant compared to a pure coagulant. Aluminium recovery is carried out by adding sulphuric acid until the pH of the sludge reaches 2.5. The acidic sludge is stirred for 30 minutes, with acidification stirring speed is varied from 240–720 rpm, and left for settling until the supernatant is formed. The supernatant was used as a recovered coagulant, examined using a jar test to determine the optimum dose, and compared with the pure coagulant. The results show that the optimum acidification stirring speed was obtained at 540 rpm, where mass balance shows aluminium recovery efficiency of 16.5%. The optimum dose for recovered coagulant was 25 ppm, with a turbidity reduction of 93.38% in jar test. While the optimum dose for pure alum was 20 ppm, with turbidity reduction of 93.26%. Though potentially reduced higher turbidity, the recovered coagulant has slightly lower quality than the pure coagulant, which required a higher optimum dose.

The impact of forest degradation due to open-pit mining activities causes sustainable ecological damage. mining activities that are not organized due to the mineral exploration process have resulted in many forest areas experiencing degradation. This degradation certainly reduces the level of carbon sequestration in the area, impacting the sustainability of environmental functions around the mining area. The high carbon stock (HCS) approach is a way to help companies implement their 'no deforestation' commitments. The high carbon stock approach will identify forests that must be protected and land that can be developed. Forests with high carbon stocks are maintained because they function as carbon stores, habitats for biodiversity, and provide the necessities of life for local communities. Therefore, this study aims to obtain data on the potential for carbon stocks and create a spatial model for distributing carbon content in the concession area of PT. Vale Indonesia can later be determined as high conservation value (HCV) areas using the high carbon stock approach. Measurement of carbon content in the study used an allometric equation that has been developed, then the distribution of carbon was made using the spatial vegetation index model obtained from Sentinel 2 imagery. The results showed an area of 30,526.49 (42.97%), which had high carbon stock with an average carbon stock of 106.09 ton/ha, which needed to be maintained as an area of high conservation value in the mining area of PT. Vale Indonesia.
