The data of applications in connected and autonomous vehicles are important, which is usually collected by service providers to improve their services, such as object detection model. But, wireless communication is susceptible to various kinds of attacks. Thus, the data of the application module needs to be securely shared to the corresponding service provider. However, current schemes are with limited performance while a service provider collects multiple application data at the same time. By adopting signcryption and chaotic map, an efficient authentication and key agreement scheme is proposed, while batch authentication is achieved for efficient message authentication of multiple applications, and the efficient revocation is realized based on Chinese remainder theorem under the assistance of trusted execution environment supported vehicle computing/communication unit. The formal security proof shows that the scheme is secure under the random oracle model, and the experiment results shows that the scheme is more efficient than related schemes and can meet the requirements of CAV. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2024.

Effective-medium theory pertains to the theoretical modelling of homogenization,which aims to replace an inhomogeneous structure of subwavelength-scale constituents with a homogeneous effective *** effective-medium theory is fundamental to various realms,including electromagnetics and material science,since it can largely decrease the complexity in the exploration of light-matter interactions by providing simple acceptable ***,the effective-medium theory is thought to be applicable to any all-dielectric system with deep-subwavelength constituents,under the condition that the effective medium does not have a critical angle,at which the total internal reflection *** we reveal a fundamental breakdown of the effective-medium theory that can be applied in very general conditions:showing it for deep-subwavelength all-dielectric multilayers even without a critical *** finding relies on an exotic photonic spin Hall effect,which is shown to be ultrasensitive to the stacking order of deep-subwavelength dielectric layers,since the spin-orbit interaction of light is dependent on slight phase accumulations during the wave *** results indicate that the photonic spin Hall effect could provide a promising and powerful tool for measuring structural defects for all-dielectric systems even in the extreme nanometer scale.

DreamView: Injecting View-specific Text Guidance into Text-to-3D Generation

Text-to-3D generation, which synthesizes 3D assets according to an overall text description, has significantly progressed. However, a challenge arises when the specific appearances need customizing at designated viewpoints but referring solely to the overall description for generating 3D objects. For instance, ambiguity easily occurs when producing a T-shirt with distinct patterns on its front and back using a single overall text guidance. In this work, we propose DreamView, a text-to-image approach enabling multi-view customization while maintaining overall consistency by adaptively injecting the view-specific and overall text guidance through a collaborative text guidance injection module, which can also be lifted to 3D generation via score distillation sampling. DreamView is trained with large-scale rendered multi-view images and their corresponding view-specific texts to learn to balance the separate content manipulation in each view and the global consistency of the overall object, resulting in a dual achievement of customization and consistency. Consequently, DreamView empowers artists to design 3D objects creatively, fostering the creation of more innovative and diverse 3D assets. Code and model will be released at here. Split Learning (SL) is a distributed learning framework renowned for its privacy-preserving features and minimal computational requirements. Previous research consistently highlights the potential privacy breaches in SL systems by server adversaries reconstructing training data. However, these studies often rely on strong assumptions or compromise system utility to enhance attack performance. This paper introduces a new semi-honest Data Reconstruction Attack on SL, named Feature-Oriented Reconstruction Attack (FORA). In contrast to prior works, FORA relies on limited prior knowledge, specifically that the server utilizes auxiliary samples from the public without knowing any client's private information. This allows FORA to conduct the attack stealthily and achieve robust performance. The key vulnerability exploited by FORA is the revelation of the model representation preference in the smashed data output by victim client. FORA constructs a substitute client through feature-level transfer learning, aiming to closely mimic the victim client's representation preference. Leveraging this substitute client, the server trains the attack model to effectively reconstruct private data. Extensive experiments showcase FORA's superior performance compared to state-of-the-art methods. Furthermore, the paper systematically evaluates the proposed method's applicability across diverse settings and advanced defense strategies.

Cloud storage services have been used by most businesses and individual users. However, data loss, service interruptions and cyber attacks often lead to cloud storage services not being provided properly, and these incidents have caused financial losses to users. Second, traditional and single-cloud model disaster recovery services are no longer suitable for the current complex cloud storage systems. Therefore, a scheme to provide disaster recovery for cloud storage services in a multi-cloud storage environment is needed in real production. In this paper, we propose a disaster recovery scheme based on blockchain technology. The proposed scheme outlined in this study aims to address the issue of data availability within the cloud storage landscape. The proposed scheme achieves this goal by dividing data into hot and cold categories, verifying the integrity of copy data via blockchain technology, and utilizing blockchain networks to manage multi-cloud storage systems. Experimental findings demonstrate that the proposed scheme yields superior results in terms of computation and time overheads. © 2023 IEEE.

Quantum simulation of a class of highly-oscillatory transport equations via Schrödingerisation

In this paper, we present quantum algorithms for a class of highly-oscillatory transport equations, which arise in semiclassical computation of surface hopping problems and other related non-adiabatic quantum dynamics, based on the Born-Oppenheimer approximation. Our method relies on the classical nonlinear geometric optics method, and the recently developed Schrödingerisation approach for quantum simulation of partial differential equations. The Schrödingerisation technique can transform any linear ordinary and partial differential equations into Hamiltonian systems evolving under unitary dynamics, via a warped phase transformation that maps these equations to one higher dimension. We study possible paths for better recoveries of the solution to the original problem by shifting the bad eigenvalues in the Schrödingerized system. Our method ensures the uniform error estimates independent of the wave length, thus allowing numerical accuracy, in maximum norm, even without numerically resolving the physical oscillations. High-accurate and efficient numerical algorithms for the self-consistent field theory of liquid-crystalline polymers

Self-consistent field theory (SCFT) is one of the most widely-used frameworks in studying the equilibrium phase behavior of inhomogeneous polymers. For liquid-crystalline polymeric systems, the primary numerical challenges in solving SCFT involve efficiently solving a large number of 6-dimensional (6D, 3D space + 2D orientation + 1D contour) partial differential equations (PDEs), accurately determining subtle energy differences between self-assembled structures, and developing effective iterative methods for nonlinear SCFT iterations. To address these challenges, this work introduces a suite of high-order and efficient numerical methods tailored to SCFT of liquid-crystalline polymers. These methods include various advanced PDE solvers, an improved Anderson iteration algorithm to accelerate SCFT calculations, and an optimization technique for adjusting the computational domain during SCFT iterations. Extensive numerical tests demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed methods. Based on these algorithms, we further explore the self-assembly behavior of liquid-crystalline polymers through 4D, 5D, and 6D simulations, uncovering intricate 3D spatial structures.

Underwater images are often affected by problems such as light attenuation, color distortion, noise and scattering, resulting in image defects. A novel image inpainting method is proposed to intelligently predict and fill damaged areas for complete and continuous visualization of the image. First, in order to effectively solve the problem of color distortion caused by light refraction in underwater environments, the improved gated attention mechanism is used. This mechanism improves the local details by learning and weighting the important features of the image. Second, gated convolution automatically determines the degree of restoration for each pixel based on local features of the original image. It eliminates distractions such as low contrast and scattering, retaining more original detailed information. By doing so, image inpainting techniques improve the quality and visualization of underwater images. © 2023 IEEE.

Named entity recognition (NER) is a key task in natural language processing, and entity recognition can provide necessary semantic information for many downstream tasks. However, the performance of NER is often limited by the richness of language resources. For low-resource languages, NER usually performs poorly due to the lack of sufficient labeled data and pre-trained models. To address this issue, we manually constructed a large-scale, high-quality Uzbek NER corpus of Uzbek, and experimented with various NER methods. We improved state-of-the-art baseline models by introducing additional features and data translations. Data translation enables the model to learn richer syntactic structure and semantic information. Affix features provide knowledge at the morphological level and play an important role in identifying oversimplified low-frequency entity labels. This paper proposes a Da-shaped slotted antenna, where the Chinese culture is integrated into the antenna design to achieve an artistic antenna that can be used in 5G communication system. The designed antenna has circular polarization characteristic, which is composed of ground plane, dielectric layer and metal sheet A engraved with Da-shaped slot, and a U-shaped wall (metal sheet B). A simple L-shaped feed probe is used to improve the working bandwidth of the antenna. A U-shaped metal sheet B is considered to improve antenna gain and axial ratio bandwidth. The simulation and optimization results show that the axial ratio bandwidth is 2.30-2.71GHz, and the impedance bandwidth is 2.44-2.7GHz, both of which can cover operating frequency in the range of 2.515-2.675GHz of 5G. © 2022 IEEE.
