The validity of the tangent linear model(TLM)is studied numerically using the example of the Lorenz equations in this *** relationship between the limit of the validity time of the TLM and initial perturbations for the Lorenz equations is investigated using the Monte Carlo sampling method.A new error function between the nonlinear and the linear evolution of the perturbations is ***,numerical sensitivity analysis is carried to establish the relationship between parameters and the validity of the TLM,such as the initial perturbation,the prediction time,the time step size and so on,by the method of mathematical statistics.

Along with the running of large Hadron Collider(LHC)located at CERN in November 2009,a large number of data samples of Bc meson have been collected and some hadronic Bc decay modes have been measured by the LHC *** view of the special and important roles of Bc meson decays playing in the heavy flavor sector,we here give a short review on the status of two body hadronic decays Bc!M1M2at both experimental and theoretical *** the theoretical progresses,specifically,we will show lots of theoretical studies on two body hadronic Bcdecays involving pseudoscalar,vector,scalar,axial-vector,even tensor meson(s)in the final states by employing the perturbative QCD(pQCD)factorization *** will present a general analysis about the twobody hadronic decays of the heavy Bc meson and also provide some expectations for the future developments.

In this paper,we present a quadratic auxiliary variable approach to develop a new class of energy-preserving Runge-Kutta methods for the Korteweg-de Vries *** quadratic auxiliary variable approach is first proposed to reformulate the original model into an equivalent system,which transforms the energy conservation law of the Korteweg-de Vries equation into two quadratic invariants of the reformulated *** the symplectic Runge-Kutta methods are directly employed for the reformulated model to arrive at a new kind of time semi-discrete schemes for the original *** consistent initial conditions,the proposed methods are rigorously proved to maintain the original energy conservation law of the Korteweg-de Vries *** addition,the Fourier pseudo-spectral method is used for spatial discretization,resulting in fully discrete energy-preserving *** implement the proposed methods effectively,we present a very efficient iterative technique,which not only greatly saves the calculation cost,but also achieves the purpose of practically preserving *** numerical results are addressed to confirm the expected order of accuracy,conservative property and efficiency of the proposed algorithms.

On the Fifth-Order Stokes Solution for Steady Water Waves

This paper presents a universal fifth-order Stokes solution for steady water waves on the basis of potential theory. It uses a global perturbation parameter, considers a depth uniform current, and thus admits the flexibilities on the definition of the perturbation parameter and on the determination of the wave celerity. The universal solution can be extended to that of Chappelear （1961）, confirming the correctness for the universal theory. Furthermore, a particular fifth-order solution is obtained where the wave steepness is used as the perturbation parameter. The applicable range of this solution in shallow depth is analyzed. Comparisons with the Fourier approximated results and with the experimental measurements show that the solution is fairly suited to waves with the Ursell number not exceeding 46.7.

Parameterized expressions for an improved Rouse equation

The equilibrium profile of suspended sediment concentration（SSC） in steady,uniform turbulent flow has been extensively studied since the proposition of Rouse equation（Rouse,1937）.Many researchers keep studying and attempting to improve the Rouse equation by modifying the mixing length *** and Dey（2009） improved Rouse equation based on the modified sediment diffusivity,however,their proposed sediment diffusivity has two parameters,the depth modification factor α and the reciprocal of the sediment Schmidt number β=1/S;,and the corresponding expressions were not given properly in their *** paper aims to parameterize the relevant coefficients,the results shows:（1）α is parameterized from a reasonable approximation by the analysis of surface boundary condition of SSC;（2） considering some effect factors on the settling velocity,β can be expressed by an extended and modified Montcs-Ippen formula,and its related parameters are calibrated by substantial data about the relationship between the primary Rouse parameter Z.= ω;/*** its counterpart Z.’=ω;/β*** verification with some experimental and field datasets,and comparison with related formula,the results show that the sediment diffusivity and SSC profiles have a good agreement with measured data used the present parameterized expressions of a and β,so the present improved Rouse equation is reasonable,and can be applied in practical ***,an approximation and simplified expression of the improved Rouse equation is deduced by using the approach of perturbation,which can be applied easily for the estimation of suspended sediment transport rate.

Effect of temporal disorder on wave packet dynamics in one-dimensional kicked lattices

Inspired by the recent experimental progress in noisy kicked rotor systems,we investigate the effect of temporal disorder or quasi-periodicity in one-dimensional kicked lattices with pulsed on-site *** found that,unlike the spatial disorder or quasi-periodicity which usually leads to localization,the effect of the temporal one is more complex and depends on the spatial *** the kicked on-site potential is periodic in real space,then the wave packet will stay diffusive in the presence of temporal disorder or *** the other hand,if the kicked on-site potential is spatially quasi-periodic,then the temporal disorder or quasi-periodicity may lead to a shift of the transition point of the dynamical localization and destroy the dynamical localization in a certain parameter *** results we obtained can be readily tested by experiments and may help us better understand the dynamical localization.

Resonance contributions fromχ_(c0)in charmless three-body hadronic B meson decays

Within the framework of perturbative QCD factorization,we investigate the nonfactorizable contributions to the factorization-forbidden quasi-two-body decays B_((s))→h_((χ)_(c0))→hπ^(+)π^(-)(K^(+)K^(-))with h=π,*** compare our predicted branching ratios for the B_(()(s))→K_(χc0)→Kπ^(+)π-(K^(+)K^(-))decay with available experiment data as well as predictions by other theoretical *** branching ratios of these decays are consistent with data and other theoretical ***,in the Cabibbo-suppressed decays B_((s))→h_((χ)_(c0))→hπ^(+)π^(-)(K^(+)K^(-))with h=K^(0),π,the values of the branching ratios are of the order of 10^(-7)and 10^(-8).The ratio R_((χ)_(c0))between the decays B^(+)→π^(+)χ_(c0)→π^(+)π^(+)π^(-)and B^(+)→K^(+)χc0→K^(+)π^(+)π^(-)and the distribution of branching ratios for different decay modes in invariant mass are considered in this study.

Detection of Picric Acid by Terpy-Based Metallo- Supramolecular Fluorescent Coordination Polymers in Aqueous Media

The synthesis of two linear terpy-based metallo-supramolecular fluorescent coordination polymers through 1 ： 1 complexation of Zn^2＋ and Cd^2＋ ions with ditopic terpyridine ligand was reported. The dispersibility of P1 and P2 was significantly improved in organic solvent and water through the introduction of hydrophilic oligo-ethyoxy side chain. Two polymers displayed yellow light emission both in solution and the solid state due to the intra-ligand charge transfer （ILCT） between the d^10 metal ions and the conjugated spacer unit. These coordination polymers were explored as fluorescent chemosensors for detecting picric acid in aqueous media, displaying high sensitivity and good selectivity. In addition, test strips were prepared from these polymers and exhibited the practical potential of detecting the NACs pollutants in the outdoor water for public safety and security.

The semileptonic decays of B/B_s meson in the perturbative QCD approach:a short review

In this short review,we present the current status about the theoretical and experimental studies for some important semileptonic decays of B=*** firstly gave a brief introduction for the experimental measurements for B=Bs!Peltl;l ml;m mT decays,the BaBar’s ReDT and ReD T anomaly,the P05deviation for B0!K 0ltl *** then made a careful discussion about the evaluations for the relevant form factors in the light-cone QCD sum rule,the heavy quark effective theory,and the perturbative QCD factorization *** using the form factors calculated in the perturbative(pQCD)approach,we then calculate and show the pQCD predictions for the decay rates of many semileptonic decays of B=*** also made careful phenomenological analysis for these pQCD predictions and found,in general,the following points:(a)For all the considered B=Bssemileptonic decays,the next-to-leading order pQCD predictions for their decay rates agree well with the data and those from other different theoretical methods;(b)For ReDT and ReD T,the pQCD predictions agree very well with the data,the BaBar’s anomaly of ReDe TT are therefore explained successfully in the standard model by employing the pQCD approach;and(c)We defined several new ratios Rl;s Dand Rl;s Ds,they may be more sensitive to the QCD dynamics which controls the B=Bs!eDe T;De T sT transitions than the old ratios,we therefore strongly suggest LHCb and the forthcoming Super-B experiments to measure these new ratios.

S-wave resonance contributions to B(s)^0→ηc(2S)π^+π^-in the perturbative QCD factorization approach

By employing the perturbative QCD（PQCD） factorization approach, we study the quasi-two-body B（s）^0→ηc（2S）π^＋π^- decays, where the pion pair comes from the S-wave resonance f0（X）. The Breit-Wigner formula for the f0（500） and f0（1500） resonances and the Flatt′e model for the f0（980） resonance are adopted to parameterize the time-like scalar form factors in the two-pion distribution amplitudes. As a comparison, Bugg＇s model is also used for the wide f0（500） in this work. For decay rates, we found the following PQCD predictions：（a）-B（Bs^0 →ηc（2S）f0（X）[π^＋π^-]s）= 2.67-1.08^＋1.78 ×10^-5 when the contributions from f0（980） and f0（1500） are all taken into account;（b）B（B0→η-c（2S）f0（500）[π^＋π^-]s） = 1.40（-0.56）（＋0.92） ×10^-6 in the Breit-Wigner model and 1.53（-0.61）^（＋0.97） ×10^-6 in Bugg＇s model.
