The supportive number of users achieving the maximum sum rate is studied in uplink massive MIMO systems for zero-forcing(ZF) and maximum-ratio combining(MRC). We obtain the lower bound of the achievable rate of each user for ZF and MRC receivers with any finite number of base station(BS) antennas, respectively. By this theoretical result, this paper will focus on the supportive number of users which was constrained with the minimum achievable rate. Through analyzing the optimal problem of maximizing the overall sum rate, we obtain the expression of optimal number of users and present the user scheduling algorithm for achieving the maximized sum rate. The numerical results show that the massive MIMO systems can improve the supportive number of users, and ZF receivers can support more number of users than MRC under the same condition.

In this paper, a novel algorithm for image classification is presented which uses the projective value of adjacency spectrum as classified samples. Firstly, the eigenvalues of adjacency matrices constructed on the feature point-sets of images are obtained by singular value decomposition. Secondly, the eigenvalues are projected onto the eigenspace by means of the covariance matrix. Finally, image classification is performed by adopting RBF and PNN neural networks as classifiers respectively. Meanwhile, some theoretical analyses are given to support the proposed method.

Mobile edge computing(MEC) provides a fresh opportunity to significantly reduce the latency and battery energy consumption of mobile applications. It does so by enabling the offloading of parts of the applications on mobile edges, which are located in close proximity to the mobile devices. Owing to the geographical distribution of mobile edges and the mobility of mobile devices, the runtime environment of MEC is highly complex and dynamic. As a result, it is challenging for application developers to support computation offloading in MEC compared with the traditional approach in mobile cloud computing, where applications use only the cloud for offloading. On the one hand, developers have to make the offloading adaptive to the changing environment, where the offloading should dynamically occur among available computation *** the other hand, developers have to effectively determine the offloading scheme each time the environment changes. To address these challenges, this paper proposes an adaptive framework that supports mobile applications with offloading capabilities in MEC. First, based on our previous study(DPartner), a new design pattern is proposed to enable an application to be dynamically offloaded among mobile devices, mobile edges,and the cloud. Second, an estimation model is designed to automatically determine the offloading *** this model, different parts of the application may be executed on different computation nodes. Finally, an adaptive offloading framework is implemented to support the design pattern and the estimation model. We evaluate our framework on two real-world applications. The results demonstrate that our approach can aid in reducing the response time by 8%–50% and energy consumption by 9%–51% for computation-intensive applications.

The Asymptotic Waveform Evaluation (AWE) technique is an extrapolation method that provides a reduced-order model of linear system and has already been successfully used to analyze wideband electromagnetic scattering problems. As the number of unknowns increases, the size of Method Of Moments (MOM) impedance matrix grows very rapidly, so it is a prohibitive task for the computation of wideband Radar Cross Section (RCS) from electrically large object or multi-objects using the traditional AWE technique that needs to solve directly matrix inversion. In this paper, an AWE technique based on the Characteristic Basis Function (CBF) method, which can reduce the matrix size to a manageable size for direct matrix inversion, is proposed to analyze electromagnetic scattering from multi-objects over a given frequency band. Numerical examples are presented to il-lustrate the computational accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method.

Target detection by a noncooperative illuminator is a topic of general interest in the electronic warfare field. First of all, direct-path interference (DPI) suppression which is the technique of bottleneck of moving target detection by a noncooperative frequency modulation(FM) broadcast transmitter is analyzed in this article; Secondly, a space-time-frequency domain synthetic solution to this problem is introduced: Adaptive nulling array processing is considered in the space domain, DPI cancellation based on adaptive fractional delay interpolation (AFDI) technique is used in planned time domain, and long-time coherent integration is utilized in the frequency domain; Finaily, an experimental system is planned by considering FM broadcast transmitter as a noncooperative illuminator, Simulation results by real collected data show that the proposed method has a better performance of moving target detection.
