Lip-Audio Modality Fusion for Deep Forgery Video Detection

In response to the problem of traditional methods ignoring audio modality tampering, this study aims to explore an effective deep forgery video detection technique that improves detection precision and reliability by fusing lip images and audio signals. The main method used is lip-audio matching detection technology based on the Siamese neural network, combined with MFCC (Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficient) feature extraction of band-pass filters, an improved dual-branch Siamese network structure, and a two-stream network structure design. Firstly, the video stream is preprocessed to extract lip images, and the audio stream is preprocessed to extract MFCC features. Then, these features are processed separately through the two branches of the Siamese network. Finally, the model is trained and optimized through fully connected layers and loss functions. The experimental results show that the testing accuracy of the model in this study on the LRW (Lip Reading in the Wild) dataset reaches 92.3%;the recall rate is 94.3%;the F1 score is 93.3%, significantly better than the results of CNN (Convolutional Neural networks) and LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) models. In the validation of multi-resolution image streams, the highest accuracy of dual-resolution image streams reaches 94%. Band-pass filters can effectively improve the signal-to-noise ratio of deep forgery video detection when processing different types of audio signals. The real-time processing performance of the model is also excellent, and it achieves an average score of up to 5 in user research. These data demonstrate that the method proposed in this study can effectively fuse visual and audio information in deep forgery video detection, accurately identify inconsistencies between video and audio, and thus verify the effectiveness of lip-audio modality fusion technology in improving detection performance.

There are more and more violence videos propagated on the Internet, it is important to detect them to provide support for online social network management. In the traditional detection methods, the utilization of different modal data is insufficient. In this paper, we propose a violence detection method based on multimodal fusion and dual channel contrastive learning. Firstly, an adaptive feature fusion method based on the attention mechanism is proposed. The problem of original information missing in the fused features is effectively solved by adaptively weighting the original modal features and the attention fusion features. And then the similarity of the same data representations is improved by contrastive learning between different feature fusion methods, in turn, the local problems caused by different fusion methods are solved. Experimental results based on public datasets show that the proposed method can learn the audio and video features and then generate high quality multimodal fusion features, the detection accuracy is improved by 1.3% to 4.8% compared with popular violence detection methods. © 2023 IEEE.

High-fidelity(HiFi)sequencing has facilitated the assembly and analysis of the most repetitive region of the genome,the ***,our current understanding of human centromeres is based on a relatively small number of telomere-to-telomere assemblies,which have not yet captured its full *** this study,we investigated the genomic diversity of human centromere higher order repeats(HORs)via both HiFi reads and haplotype-resolved assemblies from hundreds of samples drawn from ongoing pangenome-sequencing projects and reprocessed them via a novel HOR annotation pipeline,*** used this wealth of data to provide a global survey of the centromeric HOR landscape;in particular,we found that 23 HORs presented significant copy number variability between *** detected three centromere genotypes with unbalanced population frequencies on chromosomes 5,8,and *** inter-assembly comparison of HOR loci further revealed that while HOR array structures are diverse,they nevertheless tend to form a number of specific landscapes,each exhibiting different levels of HOR subunit expansion and possibly reflecting a cyclical evolutionary transition from homogeneous to nested structures and back.

Tandem duplication(TD)is a major type of structural variations(SVs)that plays an important role in novel gene formation and human ***,TDs are often missed or incorrectly classified as insertions by most modern SV detection methods due to the lack of specialized operation on TD-related mutational ***,we developed a TD detection module for the Pindel tool,referred to as Pindel-TD,based on a TD-specific pattern growth ***-TD is capable of detecting TDs with a wide size range at single nucleotide *** simulated and real read data from HG002,we demonstrated that Pindel-TD outperforms other leading methods in terms of precision,recall,F1-score,and ***,by applying Pindel-TD to data generated from the K562 cancer cell line,we identified a TD located at the seventh exon of SAGE1,providing an explanation for its high ***-TD is available for non-commercial use at https://***/xjtu-omics/pindel.

Ecosystems are undergoing unprecedented persistent deterioration due to unsustainable anthropogenic human activities,such as overfishing and deforestation,and the effects of such damage on ecological stability are *** recent advances in experimental and theoretical studies on regime shifts and tipping points,theoretical tools for understanding the extinction chain,which is the sequence of species extinctions resulting from overexploitation,are still lacking,especially for large-scale nonlinear networked *** this study,we developed a mathematical tool to predict regime shifts and extinction chains in ecosystems under multiple exploitation situations and verified it in 26 real-world mutualistic networks of various sizes and *** discovered five phases during the exploitation process:safe,partial extinction,bistable,tristable,and collapse,which enabled the optimal design of restoration strategies for degraded or collapsed *** validated our approach using a 20-year dataset from an eelgrass restoration ***,we also found a specific region in the diagram spanning exploitation rates and competition intensities,where exploiting more species helps increase *** computational tool provides insights into harvesting,fishing,exploitation,or deforestation plans while conserving or restoring the biodiversity of mutualistic ecosystems.

The well-known Gumbel-Max Trick for sampling elements from a categorical distribution (or more generally a non-negative vector) and its variants have been widely used in areas such as machine learning and information retrieval. To sample a random element ii in proportion to its positive weight v_ivi, the Gumbel-Max Trick first computes a Gumbel random variable g_igi for each positive weight element ii, and then samples the element ii with the largest value of g_i+ln v_igi+lnvi. Recently, applications including similarity estimation and weighted cardinality estimation require to generate kk independent Gumbel-Max variables from high dimensional vectors. However, it is computationally expensive for a large kk (e.g., hundreds or even thousands) when using the traditional Gumbel-Max Trick. To solve this problem, we propose a novel algorithm, FastGM, which reduces the time complexity from O(kn^+)O(kn+) to O(k ln k + n^+)O(klnk+n+), where n^+n+ is the number of positive elements in the vector of interest. FastGM stops the procedure of Gumbel random variables computing for many elements, especially for those with small weights. We perform experiments on a variety of real-world datasets and the experimental results demonstrate that FastGM is orders of magnitude faster than state-of-the-art methods without sacrificing accuracy or incurring additional expenses. © 1989-2012 IEEE.

With the continuous development of the smart grid and the increasing number of electric vehicles (EVs), the power transaction in the smart grid has become increasingly important in our daily life. This paper studies the distributed trading mechanism of electric vehicle energy in a smart grid. First, a non-cooperative game model is established among EV users. Each user can buy and sell power to both the central grid and other EV users. EV owners may act as buyers or sellers in the transaction according to their power availability. Next, this paper calculates the optimal utility function for EV users and obtains the optimal decision. The expression of the Nash equilibrium solution and the optimal user utility function are given. Then the efficiency of Nash equilibrium is analyzed. Finally, demand response management is carried out under the model. This paper designs two groups of comparative experiments. The first experiment compared daily electricity consumption and electricity charges of users before and after demand response management. The second experiment showed how the sum of electricity bills changed with the number of users who don't change their habits. © 2023 IEEE.

Uplink control information (UCI) and discontinuous reception (DRX) play important roles for massive machine type communication (mMTC). Despite their standalone significance, a conspicuous gap exists in comprehensively exploring the synergy between UCI and DRX concerning both energy conservation and latency reduction for mMTC. In this letter, we propose a UCI-based clustered access and DRX management (UCADM) scheme that strikes a balance between these two critical performance metrics, reducing energy usage while preserving low latency in uplink-downlink interaction for mMTC. Specifically, we present a strictly feasible solution for the proposed UCADM scheme by using the spectral radius and the constraint projection, which can effectively solve DRX switching operations as indicated by scheduling information from UCI. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of our scheme. © 1997-2012 IEEE.
