A search for high-mass charged and neutral bosons decaying to Wγ and Zγ final states is presented in this paper. The analysis uses a data sample of s = 13 TeV proton-proton collisions with an integrated luminosity of 139 fb⁻¹ collected by the ATLAS detector during LHC Run 2 operation. The sensitivity of the search is determined using models of the production and decay of spin-1 charged bosons and spin-0/2 neutral bosons. The range of resonance masses explored extends from 1.0 TeV to 6.8 TeV. At these high resonance masses, it is beneficial to target the hadronic decays of the W and Z bosons because of their large branching fractions. The decay products of the high-momentum W/Z bosons are strongly collimated and boosted-boson tagging techniques are employed to improve the sensitivity. No evidence of a signal above the Standard Model backgrounds is observed, and upper limits on the production cross-sections of these bosons times their branching fractions to Wγ and Zγ are derived for various boson production models. A search for a charged Higgs boson, H ^±, produced in top-quark decays, t → H ^± b, is presented. The search targets H ^± decays into a bottom and a charm quark, H ^± → cb. The analysis focuses on a selection enriched in top-quark pair production, where one top quark decays into a leptonically decaying W boson and a bottom quark, and the other top quark decays into a charged Higgs boson and a bottom quark. This topology leads to a lepton-plus-jets final state, characterised by an isolated electron or muon and at least four jets. The search exploits the high multiplicity of jets containing b-hadrons, and deploys a neural network classifier that uses the kinematic differences between the signal and the background. The search uses a dataset of proton-proton collisions collected at a centre-of-mass energy s = 13 TeV between 2015 and 2018 with the ATLAS detector at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider, amounting to an integrated luminosity of 139 fb⁻¹. Observed (expected) 95% confidence-level upper limits between 0.15% (0.09%) and 0.42% (0.25%) are derived for the product of branching fractions B (t → H ^± b) × B(H ^± → cb) for charged Higgs boson masses between 60 and 160 GeV, assuming the SM production of the top-quark pairs. To address the increasing need for detecting and validating protein biomarkers in clinical specimens,mass spectrometry(MS)-based targeted proteomic techniques,including the selected reaction monitoring(SRM),parallel reaction monitoring(PRM),and massively parallel dataindependent acquisition(DIA),have been *** optimal performance,they require the fragment ion spectra of targeted peptides as prior *** this report,we describe a MS pipeline and spectral resource to support targeted proteomics studies for human tissue *** build the spectral resource,we integrated common open-source MS computational tools to assemble a freely accessible computational workflow based on *** then applied the workflow to generate DPHL,a comprehensive DIA pan-human library,from 1096 data-dependent acquisition(DDA)MS raw files for 16 types of cancer *** extensive spectral resource was then applied to a proteomic study of 17 prostate cancer(PCa)***,PRM validation was applied to a larger study of 57 PCa patients and the differential expression of three proteins in prostate tumor was *** a second application,the DPHL spectral resource was applied to a study consisting of plasma samples from 19 diffuse large B cell lymphoma(DLBCL)patients and 18 healthy control *** expressed proteins between DLBCL patients and healthy control subjects were detected by DIA-MS and confirmed by *** data demonstrate that the DPHL supports DIA and PRM MS pipelines for robust protein biomarker *** is freely accessible at https://***/page/***?id=IPX0001400000.

The polarization of τ leptons is measured using leptonic and hadronic τ lepton decays in Z → τ⁺ τ⁻ events in proton-proton collisions at (Formula presented.) recorded by CMS at the CERN LHC with an integrated luminosity of 36.3 fb⁻¹. The measured τ⁻ lepton polarization at the Z boson mass pole is P_τ(Z) = −0.144 ± 0.006 (stat) ± 0.014 (syst) = −0.144 ± 0.015, in good agreement with the measurement of the τ lepton asymmetry parameter of A_τ = 0.1439 ± 0.0043 = − P_τ(Z) at LEP. The τ lepton polarization depends on the ratio of the vector to axial-vector couplings of the τ leptons in the neutral current expression, and thus on the effective weak mixing angle sin² θWeff , independently of the Z boson production mechanism. The obtained value sin² θWeff = 0.2319 ± 0.0008(stat) ± 0.0018(syst) = 0.2319 ± 0.0019 is in good agreement with measurements at e⁺ e⁻ colliders. ASEAN Entrepreneurship Profiling is one of the initial efforts to bring together profiles among ASEAN countries and to find the most powerful determining factor for entrepreneurs in ASEAN, developed using the Neuroresearch and Waterfall Model research methods. This research aims to identify the design of ASEAN Entrepreneurship Profiling website design to collect data online by using Neuroresearch and Waterfall Model research methods. The result shows that this profiling is expected to be able to contribute to novice entrepreneurs to explore gaps, take advantage of opportunities, prepare for their capacity, and build their potential. It is also easier for business actors when visiting the website as it displays self-profiling and recommendations for themselves.

EKT: Exercise-aware knowledge tracing for student performance prediction

For offering proactive services (e.g., personalized exercise recommendation) to the students in computer supported intelligent education, one of the fundamental tasks is predicting student performance (e.g., scores) on future exercises, where it is necessary to track the change of each student's knowledge acquisition during her exercising activities. Unfortunately, to the best of our knowledge, existing approaches can only exploit the exercising records of students, and the problem of extracting rich information existed in the materials (e.g., knowledge concepts, exercise content) of exercises to achieve both more precise prediction of student performance and more interpretable analysis of knowledge acquisition remains underexplored. To this end, in this paper, we present a holistic study of student performance prediction. To directly achieve the primary goal of performance prediction, we first propose a general Exercise-Enhanced Recurrent Neural Network (EERNN) framework by exploring both student's exercising records and the text content of corresponding exercises. In EERNN, we simply summarize each student's state into an integrated vector and trace it with a recurrent neural network, where we design a bidirectional LSTM to learn the encoding of each exercise from its content. For making final predictions, we design two implementations on the basis of EERNN with different prediction strategies, i.e., EERNNM with Markov property and EERNNA with Attention mechanism. Then, to explicitly track student's knowledge acquisition on multiple knowledge concepts, we extend EERNN to an explainable Exercise-aware Knowledge Tracing (EKT) framework by incorporating the knowledge concept information, where the student's integrated state vector is now extended to a knowledge state matrix. Despite substantial declines since 2000, lower respiratory infections (LRIs), diarrhoeal diseases, and malaria remain among the leading causes of nonfatal and fatal disease burden for children under 5 years of age (under 5), primarily in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The spatial burden of each of these diseases has been estimated subnationally across SSA, yet no prior analyses have examined the pattern of their combined burden. Here we synthesise subnational estimates of the burden of LRIs, diarrhoea, and malaria in children under-5 from 2000 to 2017 for 43 sub-Saharan countries. Some units faced a relatively equal burden from each of the three diseases, while others had one or two dominant sources of unit-level burden, with no consistent pattern geographically across the entire subcontinent. Using a subnational counterfactual analysis, we show that nearly 300 million DALYs could have been averted since 2000 by raising all units to their national average. Our findings are directly relevant for decision-makers in determining which and targeting where the most appropriate interventions are for increasing child survival. © 2022, The Author(s).
