The healthcare industry is primarily driven by technological innovations as they are a significant source of inspiration to provide the best patient care. To provide patients with prompt, high-quality care, medical device manufacturing has grown at an unprecedented rate. Hospitals should use the best maintenance techniques to increase the life of their equipment while trying to reduce maintenance costs and efforts as medical device usage increases. This paper proposes a predictive maintenance method (PdM) to assist in identifying critical equipment failures with diverse and frequent failure modes. The proposed method is based on the understanding of the physics of the incident, real-time data collection of relevant parameters using Internet of Things (IoT) technology, and application of machine learning algorithms to predict and classify the condition of the device as good and bad. To demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of moving from traditional maintenance to PdM, an economic analysis should be provided. The objective of this study was to determine the challenge of medical device maintenance using an Internet of Things (loT) enabled automated health monitoring system for devices that generate large amounts of data. real-time data, at scale, in healthcare organizations.

A sentiment analysis scheme for image and text comments based on multimodal deep learning and spatiotemporal attention is proposed to address the issues of incomplete spatiotemporal considerations, incomplete implementation details, and cutting-edge theoretical algorithms in graphic and textual sentiment analysis schemes. The proposed model has clear layering including data preprocessing layer, modal encoding layer, modal fusion layer, sentiment classification layer, loss function and optimizer, evaluation and feedback. The implementation details of each layer are introduced. The entire scheme model incorporates Multimodal Fusion Neural Network (MFNN) deep learning and spatiotemporal attention mechanism, which makes the scheme perform well in terms of security, robustness and performance, making up for the shortcomings of existing research schemes.

CFVNet: An End-to-End Cancelable Finger Vein Network for Recognition

Finger vein recognition technology has become one of the primary solutions for high-security identification systems. However, it still has information leakage problems, which seriously jeopardizes user’s privacy and anonymity and cause great security risks. In addition, there is no work to consider a fully integrated secure finger vein recognition system. So, different from the previous systems, we integrate preprocessing and template protection into an integrated deep learning model. We propose an end-to-end cancelable finger vein network (CFVNet), which can be used to design an secure finger vein recognition system. It includes a plug-and-play BWR-ROIAlign unit, which consists of three sub-modules: Localization, Compression and Transformation. The localization module achieves automated localization of stable and unique finger vein ROI. The compression module losslessly removes spatial and channel redundancies. The transformation module uses the proposed BWR method to introduce unlinkability, irreversibility and revocability to the system. BWR-ROIAlign can directly plug into the model to introduce the above features for DCNN-based finger vein recognition systems. We perform extensive experiments on four public datasets to study the performance and cancelable biometric attributes of the CFVNet-based recognition system. The average accuracy, EERs and D↔sys on the four datasets are 99.82%, 0.01% and 0.025, respectively, and achieves competitive performance compared with the state-of-the-arts. © 2024, CC BY-NC-SA.

In a highly dynamic society Human Activity Recognition is a widely used area for the development of systems that are capable of automatically identifying human behavior. Human activity recognition has emerged as the most powerful area for researchers because of the complex and dynamic behavior of humans. Human recognition is implemented in many systems and software due to its large usage. It not only is used today for surveillance and security purposes but also for the physiological understanding of human nature. This tells a better understanding of AI, and deep learning as it utilizes these domains widely. This study represents a hybrid deep learning model with the integration of Long short term memory networks (LSTM) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). Video data is used, and it is converted into multiple frames, this model improves the accuracy of detecting human movement in diverse fields. These results highlighted the potential OF combining spatial and temporal features extraction across sectors such as healthcare, security, sports analytics.

Smart furniture has emerged as a significant area of interest in scientific research over the past decade. This bibliometric analysis aims to explore the trends in scientific research related to smart furniture from 2014 to 2023. By examining a range of scholarly articles, this study delves into the evolution of smart furniture technologies, applications, and implications. The research reveals a growing interest in integrating intelligent systems into furniture design, enabling network connectivity and user-controlled operations. Despite the growing number of studies, the research landscape remains fragmented, necessitating a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to consolidate existing research and identify trends. Data selection from the Scopus database yielded a total of 97 documents from 69 sources, with average citations per doc is 8.041. On the corresponding author's countries, China is the highest country. Moreover, terms like “smart furniture” that expand in size and extend to the right of the chart indicate a growing emphasis in recent literature, signaling potential areas of increased research activity. Smart furniture is characterized as furniture that is connected to a network and equipped with intelligent technologies that make use of user data and energy sources. The study underscores the importance of addressing issues such as ease of use, privacy, security, and affordability in implementing smart furniture solutions. This study provides valuable insights into the current state and future prospects of smart furniture research, guiding further investigation and advancement in this rapidly evolving sector.

The research entitled “Internet of Things for Smart Furniture: A Systematic Review” explores integrating IoT technology into smart furniture to improve functionality and user experience. By synthesizing existing literature, this research aims to discover how the Internet of Things (IoT) is leveraged to meet specific user needs with smart furniture and what hardware and sensor technologies are proposed for smart furniture design, considering factors such as scalability and need for users. Current research trends in securing user communications and data in the context of IoT-enabled smart furniture. This research involved a literature search which included journal articles and reviews from the Web of science (WOS) and the Scopus database (core collection) from 2014 to 2023, and the final results were 9 documents that would be reviewed. Several impactful means must be used to meet specific user needs, such as health monitoring, enhanced security, enhanced convenience and mobility, integration with smart home systems, and personalization and adaptability. Drawing insights from IoT data quality, machine learning applications in IoT, and smart furniture design for elderly care, this research provides a comprehensive picture of the current IoT-enabled smart furniture landscape. This research can explore existing IoT solutions for smart furniture, with a focus on cutting-edge technologies and design principles that can shape the future of this domain.

Customers who use internet banking have the flexibility to manage their assets sometimes when and wherever they choose. Any web-based transactions will, in any instance, be vulnerable to privacy risks. The current system makes use of two-way validation factors (OTP), which are easily cracked by cybercriminals, causing customers to have their personal information invaded without having access to the aggressor's recognised evidence. As a result, in this research, we suggest a flexible SIM sequential-based check approach to safeguard mobile transactions using a waiter-side secure platform built on the Blockchain. The customer's record has the supporter character module (sim) serial number, and if a gate crasher tries to initiate a transaction from another sim, there is a mix-up of the login credentials, at which point the system communicates the intrusive location information to the bank. The bank then sends an email to the subscribed customer alerting them to the peculiarities of the intruder. There is no risk of a gate crasher initiating the transaction from another device because the mobile sim chronicle number is unique to the sim and isn't literally very distanced, eliminating the concerns associated with OTP. By verifying the updated markings throughout the transaction and calculating the contract for transaction confirmation, the Ethereum Blockchain breakthrough provides server-side information base security. For reliable financial exchange, blockchain-based security is mathematically validated. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper focuses on investigating the efficiency profile through the three-time management behaviors using the K-Means clustering method. In the case of the study, the data gathered from digital time management tools for 100 participants for one month was preprocessed to distil features surrounding productivity, including daily working hours, focus time, break duration and frequency, and task completion ratios. The four groups that were agreed upon through K-Means clustering differed in terms of time management behaviours and productivity. Insert table 6 IT cluster 1 worked long hours with high productivity owing to the fact that they are IT professionals but had a tendency of multitasking. Employment Cluster 2 (marketing and sales professionals) achieved both personal and work-related self-care but identified the need for more concentrated time per task. As for the differences in the breaks, it can be noted that cluster 3 (management and administration personnel) had significantly higher task completion times and focus times, but their break intervals needed to be optimized. Hypothesis 2 stated that there will be many hours of leisure for Cluster 4 (students and interns) imply that their work hours should be adjusted to several small tasks a day, and their rates of task completion should be increased. From the study, it is possible to stress that time management should be considered as an individual activity that requires specific approaches to the given subject area and to the learner in particular. Specifically, demographic profiling identified the roles that age and occupational status may play in averting or exacerbating productivity deficiencies: insights that could be actionable in specific scenarios. The implications of this research offer practical insights into individual and organizational time management, as the usability aspects of machine learning techniques were considered and their applicability established, which further extends the scope of time

Capacitance-to-voltage conversion is essential for capacitive sensors in various industries, including touch interfaces, medical devices, and moisture measurement. However, circuit design faces challenges like non-linearity, noise, and small capacitance variations affecting voltage signals. This article proposes a phase-locked loop in free-running oscillator mode with a frequency-to-voltage converter to enhance accuracy and stability. Test results show a 97.9% measurement accuracy, demonstrating reduced noise and improved stability. The proposed circuit is ideal for high-precision applications in diverse environments, overcoming limitations of traditional methods. © 2025 IEEE.
