In this work, we develop a new Quantum-based Matching Kernel (QBMK) for unattributed graphs, by computing the kernel-based similarity between the quantum Shannon entropies of aligned vertices through the Continuous-time Quantum Walk (CTQW). The theoretical analysis reveals that the proposed QBMK kernel not only addresses the shortcoming of neglecting the structural correspondence information between graphs arising in existing R-convolution graph kernels, but also overcomes the problem of neglecting the structural differences between pairs of aligned vertices arising in existing vertex-based matching kernels. Moreover, the proposed QBMK kernel can simultaneously capture both global and local structural characteristics through the quantum Shannon entropies. Experimental evaluations on standard graph datasets demonstrate that the proposed QBMK kernel is able to outperform state-of-the-art graph kernels and graph deep learning approaches.

The study of opinions, sentiments, assessments, perspectives, and feelings as they are expressed in written language is the focus of sentiment analysis and evaluation mining. It is commonly the subject of text mining, information mining, and web mining because it is one of the most active study fields in natural language processing. Sentiment analysis has been applied in many different contexts, including the study of how events affect unofficial groups and the exploration of presumptions about goods and services. The importance of sentiment analysis is increasing at the same time as virtual entertainment such as surveys, group chats, web blogs, micro sites, Twitter, and interpersonal organizations. In this work, we provide the results of our preliminary studies on twitter sentiment analysis. This study seeks to distinguish subjects from sentiment in tweets. It recognizes the sentiment that refers to the particular problem using Natural Language Processing techniques. Our analysis consists of three main processes, subjective grouping, semantic affiliation, and extreme order, to characterize sentiment. By describing the syntactic relationship between sentiment dictionaries and subject, the study makes use of sentiment vocabularies. Exploratory results demonstrate that the proposed framework performs better than existing message sentiment analysis tools because tweets don't have the same architecture as traditional messages.

Diabetes mellitus is one of the most pressing health concerns because so many people are afflicted by its disabling symptoms. Factors such as age, excess body fat, insufficient physical activity, a history of diabetes in one's family, a sedentary lifestyle, an unhealthy diet, hypertension, etc., all increase the likelihood of developing diabetes mellitus. Health complications are more common in people with diabetes, including cardiovascular disease, renal failure, stroke, blindness, and nerve injury. To validate a diagnosis of diabetes, hospitals typically perform a battery of procedures on the patient. Big data analytics has many vital applications in the healthcare sector. Numerous large computer systems are used in the healthcare sector. With the help of big data analytics, researchers can sift through mountains of data in search of previously unseen patterns and insights. Current techniques have a poor degree of precision in classification and forecast. While previous research has focused on factors such as glucose, body mass index, age, insulin, etc., the proposed model takes these into account and also the other factors that may be more relevant to the development of diabetes. The newer sample is superior to the older one based on categorization accuracy. A workflow algorithm for diabetes prognosis is also required to improve the accuracy.

Public restrooms needs to be frequently cleaned to maintain public health and hygiene. Traditional bathroom cleaning techniques may not solve current cleanliness issues. This research proposes an advanced robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) solution to these problems. The proposed system uses autonomous robots with IoT sensors and cameras. Robots identify cleaning and maintenance needs in restrooms. A central system receives data from IoT sensors on cleanliness indicators, including toilet paper, soap, and foot movement. Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) processes this data to predict and prioritize cleaning requirements. The RNN monitors toilet conditions in real time and reacts to changing use and cleaning needs. This dynamic technique optimizes cleaning resource allocation and maintains facility cleanliness. The device also warns cleaning personnel when certain areas need quick attention. This novel technique makes restroom care more cost-effective, responsive, and environmentally friendly by combining robots, IoT, and RNNs. This study advances smart facility management, which uses technology to improve public space cleanliness, user experience, and resource usage.

The search for two-dimensional multiferroic materials is an exciting yet challenging endeavor. Recently, Song et al. reported the exciting discovery of type-II multiferroic order in an antiferromagnetic (AFM) NiI2 single layer, and concluded the ferroelectric (FE) polarization induced by a helical magnetic order1. Their finding was presented from all-optical experimental evidence, based on the methods of second harmonic generation (SHG) and linear dichroism (LD). However, the all-optical characterizations alone cannot serve as unanimous evidence of the "FE" existence, particularly in conjunction with magnetic orders in a single-layer multiferroic. A main argument is that their observed SHG and LD signals may just be manifested from the magnetic-order induced breaking of spatial-inversion or time-reversal symmetry instead of FE order, and thus cannot endorse the finding of a single-layer multiferroic. Accurate measurements of magnetic and electric orders are very essential to make a reliable judgement of a multiferroic. High-quality fluorescence imaging of biological systems is limited by processes like photobleaching and phototoxicity, and also in many cases, by limited access to the latest generations of microscopes. Moreover, low temporal resolution can lead to a motion blur effect in living systems. Our work presents a deep learning (DL) generative-adversarial approach to the problem of obtaining high-quality (HQ) images based on their low-quality (LQ) equivalents. We propose a generative-adversarial network (GAN) for contrast transfer between two different separate microscopy systems: a confocal microscope (producing HQ images) and a wide-field fluorescence microscope (producing LQ images). Our model proves that such transfer is possible, allowing us to receive HQ-generated images characterized by low mean squared error (MSE) values, high structural similarity index (SSIM), and high peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) values. For our best model in the case of comparing HQ-generated images and HQ-ground truth images, the median values of the metrics are 6·10-4, 0.9413, and 31.87, for MSE, SSIM, and PSNR, respectively. In contrast, in the case of comparison between LQ and HQ ground truth median values of the metrics are equal to 0.0071, 0.8304, and 21.48 for MSE, SSIM, and PSNR respectively. Therefore, we observe a significant increase ranging from 14% to 49% for SSIM and PSNR respectively. These results, together with other single-system cross-modality studies, provide proof of concept for further implementation of a cross-system biological image quality enhancement. © 2024, CC BY-SA.

Graph Auto-Encoders (GAEs) are powerful tools for graph representation learning. In this paper, we develop a novel Hierarchical Cluster-based GAE (HC-GAE), that can learn effective structural characteristics for graph data analysis. To this end, during the encoding process, we commence by utilizing the hard node assignment to decompose a sample graph into a family of separated subgraphs. We compress each subgraph into a coarsened node, transforming the original graph into a coarsened graph. On the other hand, during the decoding process, we adopt the soft node assignment to reconstruct the original graph structure by expanding the coarsened nodes. By hierarchically performing the above compressing procedure during the decoding process as well as the expanding procedure during the decoding process, the proposed HC-GAE can effectively extract bidirectionally hierarchical structural features of the original sample graph. Furthermore, we re-design the loss function that can integrate the information from either the encoder or the decoder. Since the associated graph convolution operation of the proposed HC-GAE is restricted in each individual separated subgraph and cannot propagate the node information between different subgraphs, the proposed HC-GAE can significantly reduce the over-smoothing problem arising in the classical convolution-based GAEs. The proposed HC-GAE can generate effective representations for either node classification or graph classification, and the experiments demonstrate the effectiveness on real-world datasets.

Decentralized access control reduces trust on the central authority. Considering privacy issues, privacy-preserving decentralized access control (PPDAC) schemes were proposed. However, existing schemes did not consider the unforgeability and aggregtability of access permissions and the traceability of illegal users. In this paper, we propose a privacy-preserving decentralized signature-based access control (PPDSBAC) scheme to fix the above problems. In our scheme, each access permission is a multi- signatures on a keyword, time period and pseudonym, hence is unforgeable and aggregatable. Services are encrypted by using different keywords and time periods. A user can use a pseudonym to access a service directly if he/she gets required access permissions from required authorization authorities. Furthermore, in the case that trace is required, a trace authority can de-anonymise users and identify their real identities. We formalize both the definition and security model of our scheme, and propose a concrete construction. Then, the implementation and evaluation are conducted to show its efficiency. Finally, the security of our scheme is formally proven. The novelty is to construct a PPDAC scheme with unlinkable access requests, unforgeable and aggregatable access permissions, non-interactive authentication and traceability. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Prognostics and health management (PHM) is an engineering discipline that aims to maintain system behaviour and function and ensure mission success, safety and effectiveness. Addressing the challenges in prognostics and health management for modern intelligent systems, especially automated driving systems, is complex due to the contextual nature of faults. This complexity necessitates a thorough understanding of spatial, and temporal conditions, and relationships within operational scenarios and life-cycle stages. This paper introduces a framework designed to automatically recognize driving scenarios in automated driving systems using graph neural networks (GNNs). The framework extracts relational data from image frames, constructing graph-based models and transforming unstructured sensory data into structured data with diverse node types and relationships. A specific graph neural network processes the graph model to reveal and detect operational conditions and relationships. The proposed framework is evaluated using the KITTI dataset, demonstrating superior performance compared to conventional feed-forward networks such as MLP, particularly in handling relational data.
