目的:探讨遗传算法的局限性和实用性,并分析基于相互作用产生的上位效应对遗传算法可靠性的影响。创新点:1.指出遗传算法缺陷的根源;2.基于测试样本函数定义目标函数,以判断遗传算法的适用性。方法:1.基于非上位效应函数(表1)和上位效应函数(表2),以及非上位效应函数F4和上位效应函数F6的结构图来验证遗传算法可靠性;2.通过计算样本函数(公式(1))和遗传算法流程(图3)表达遗传算法的工作原理。3.利用克洛弗函数(公式(2))和计算不同结构角下的函数分布(图4),进一步判断匹配度(表3)和计算效率(表4);定义新的目标函数(公式(9))和一组新的变量(公式(10))来实现变量相关性解离。结论:1.对当前遗传算法存在的不足给出了独到见解,并认为正定性的假设并非可以保证遗传算法实际的有效性和优化性。2.定义成本代价函数用以判断遗传算法可靠性,并分别考虑上位性和非上位性效应两种情形。当成本代价函数在非上位性效应下时,遗传算法是有效的;否则,可以把N维函数降级为N个一维函数,从而采用更简单的算法来判断。基于一些通用的基准,进一步设计三类样本函数来证实以上判断,且这些样本函数适合于上位性效应情形和非上位效应情形。3.遗传算法的瓶颈在于主算子和相干匹配性;可以通过破坏某些结构来实现变量关系的解离,从而抑制相干匹配性对遗传算法的影响。希望相关读者在处理实际优化问题时能验证作者关于上位效应的定性结论,并给出更可靠的方法来表征这种效应。

One of the most intriguing recent scientific study subjects with a wide range of applications is mobile robots. As a branch of mobile robot, wheeled mobile robot has been an attractive topic recently due to its simple mechanism and motion flexible features. Because of the robot mobility, onboard power sources such as battery, fuel cell, photovoltaic, or super capacitor are used. As a consequence, direct current motors are utilized as actuators. Obviously, a DC motor requires a driver to adjust its output power to the required load power, which is often variable based on the working environment and user directives. Although dual H-bridge DC motor drivers are commonly available, their control strategies and how they affect the performance of mobile robot systems have not been thoroughly addressed. In this work, different control schemes of H-bridge converters are analyzed. Corresponding mathematical model of H-bridge converters are proposed and utilized in design the controller for a wheeled mobile robot. The whole system is modelled and simulated in Matlab/Simulink. Effectiveness of different control schemes of an H-bridge converter on the performance of a wheeled mobile robot are investigated. simulation results indicated that with bipolar switching scheme, the motor has highest current and torque ripple and hence the robot has highest speed ripple. With the unipolar switching scheme, the system achieves lowest current-, torque-, and speed-ripple. However, this type of switching scheme requires higher control effort. As a compromise between output performance and control efforts, low- and high-frequency switching scheme is recommended for mobile robot system. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The paper deals with utilization of sliding mode theory in speed control of direct torque controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor drive. In order to smooth stator current waveform, pulse-width-modulation (PWM) technique are selected, and space vector PWM is employed to receive high motor torque. Conventional proportional-integral (PI) speed controller does not guarantee high performance in both dynamic and steady-state operations, especially at times of load variation. Sliding mode control is chosen to enhance the performance of drive system. simulations for both systems with conventional PI speed controller and sliding-mode-based speed controller are constructed. Integral performance indices including integral of time multiplied by the absolute value of speed error (ITAE), integral of time multiplied by the square of speed error (ITSE), integral of the absolute value of speed error (IAE), integral of the square of the speed error (ISE), are used to evaluate performance. Results confirm the expected performance of drive system with sliding-mode-based speed controller. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In this paper, we evaluate an energy harvesting (EH) relaying cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system operating in half-duplex (HD) fixed decode-and-forward (DF), where two data symbols can be received in two time slots at the receiver which leads to higher transmission rate. In addition, power-splitting (PS) protocol is considered to understand its impacts on the outage performance and the delay-limited throughput. It is shown that due to the placement of relay, the system performance is affected. We provide simulation results to prove the robustness of the system. © 2019 Association for Computing Machinery.

In this paper we discuss the possibility of novel mutual fusion of evolutionary algorithms, complex networks, strange dynamics and hidden attractors. As demonstrated in previous research papers, evolutionary algorithms are capable of very complex tasks such as chaotic system control, identification or synthesis and vice versa, chaos can be observed also in the evolutionary dynamics. We pro-pose a novel approach non how to analyze and control dynamic of evolutionary algorithm and also discuss possibility on strange dynamics analysis that is a part of dynamic of evolutionary algorithms. In any words, we propose to understand algorithms as a discrete dynamical system that exhibit wide spectra behavior that can be controlled and analyzed.

The study represents an enhancement of heat transfer using different nanofluids containing nanoparticles (Al2O3, Cu, Ag, TiO2, SiO2, Fe) Volume fraction (0.02≤φ≤0.05). Numerical simulations are conducted using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and the model is generated using Solid works. The governing equations are solved using a SIMPLE technique and discretized using finite volume approach. The results show that the heat transfer rate increases with the increase of the flow rates, also it has been observed that heat transfer rate increases with increase of operating temperature and also by the concentration of nanoparticles. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The chattering phenomena of high-frequency switching make it challenging to perform sliding-mode control (SMC) for load frequency control of power networks. Actuators utilized in power systems are highly vulnerable to this chattering issue in SMC. In this study, a load frequency controller based on decentralized SMC is developed for multi-area multi-source interconnected power systems (MMIPS) with matching uncertainties. To enhance the dynamic performance of the system in achieving intervals, the proportional and integral switching surface is built for each region. In addition to guaranteeing the resilience of the multi-area multi-source power network, the suggested second order sliding mode control (SOSMC) legislation avoids chattering phenomena in control input. The reaching law approach suggests the robust controller to ensure that, following a load and operation point modification, frequency fluctuation converges to zero. Additionally, the simulation report shows that the suggested controller maintains the quality requirement by dealing with operating conditions in a wider range, rejecting disturbance, lowering the transient response of frequency, and removing the overshoot issue. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the suggested decentralized SMC approach, a two-area multi-area multi-source linked power system is explored. The result of the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation is presented, and its findings are contrasted with recently developed traditional control systems.

Inherent part of evolutionary algorithms that are based on Darwin's theory of evolution and Mendel's theory of genetic heritage, are random processes since genetic algorithms and evolutionary strategies are used. In this paper, we present extended experiments (of our previous) of selected evolutionary algorithms and test functions showing whether random processes really are needed in evolutionary algorithms. In our experiments we used differential evolution and SOMA algorithms with functions 2ndDeJong, Ackley, Griewangk, Rastrigin, SineWave and StretchedSineWave. We use n periodical deterministic processes (based on deterministic chaos principles) instead of pseudo-random number generators (PRGNs) and compare performance of evolutionary algorithms powered by those processes and by PRGNs. Results presented here are numerical demonstrations rather than mathematical proofs. We propose the hypothesis that a certain class of deterministic processes can be used instead of PRGNs without lowering the performance of evolutionary algorithms.
