The Internet of Multimedia Things (IoMT) is gaining speed due to the increase in multimedia data and the interconnectedness of real-world physical devices with the advent of the Internet of Things (IoT) and real-time multimedia data transmission services. The paper focuses on the IoMT's unique challenges and potential, particularly in the domains of security, privacy, and network efficiency. Our research pivots around two core areas: addressing network vulnerabilities in IoMT and enhancing data privacy, specifically in healthcare contexts. This includes an exploration of federated learning combined with homomorphic encryption, underlining their importance in maintaining data security and integrity. We investigate the balance between model performance and execution time, with a detailed analysis of classification metrics in both encrypted and plain data scenarios. This approach highlights the effectiveness of federated learning as a privacy-preserving method in healthcare IoMT applications. The synthesis of these findings illuminates the intricate balance required between security, privacy, and performance in IoMT. It underscores the potential of advanced ML models and privacy-preserving techniques in building a secure, resilient, and ethical digital ecosystem. Our study not only contributes to the advancements in network security and data privacy but also establishes a foundational framework for the responsible and innovative evolution of IoMT. This research fills a critical gap by focusing on the specific requirements and challenges of multimedia content in IoMT, advancing beyond the traditional IoT paradigms that predominantly consider scalar data. Among the evolution of the Internet of Multimedia Things (IoMT), ensuring multimedia privacy is a significant area of concern. This study focuses on IoMT -based multimedia privacy, due to its importance in today's connected world. The data involved in multimedia applications of the IoMT are pictures, audio, and video, which are on the rise from healthcare to smart cities, necessitating its safety as a paramount issue. The research seeks to establish and analyze inherent vulnerabilities in the IoMT that lead to threats against multimedia privacy and ultimately develop an integrated system that will help protect and secure such information effectively. Drawing on the mixed methods design, this study uses a mixture of quantitative and qualitative analysis to explore the state of multimedia privacy within IoMT. Specifically, it entails the evaluation of security protocols currently in place, privacy-preserving algorithms, as well as legal and regulatory frameworks on multimedia data. Additionally, through case studies and expert interviews, this research delves into practical problems and solutions. Among the outcomes identified is the need for improved versions of privacy control models capable of reflecting different organizational environment features, the dynamic nature of threats, and untrusted insider action patterns associated with that. A number of steps are suggested by the research, such as the creation of advanced encryption algorithms, greater public consciousness, and regulatory policies. The goal of these recommendations is to create a safe multimedia space for IoMT where privacy is observed as an empowerment of users and stakeholders, not just for protection. The study findings are particularly meaningful in terms of multimedia privacy rhetoric with their strategic plan, which provides a logical pattern for stakeholders to navigate through the maze of IoMT issues while providing for multimedia data privacy and security. © 2024 IEEE.

The surge in technological advancements has accentuated the ubiquity of Internet of Things (IoT) networks and amplified the reliance on data-driven models in diverse domains, notably in healthcare. This convergence of innovations, however, has exposed an array of vulnerabilities and necessitated the development of robust frameworks for security and privacy preservation. In this multifaceted study, we deploy an ensemble of machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) models to address network intrusions and scrutinize the application of federated learning in healthcare as a pivotal privacy-preserving technique. We initiated our exploration by employing models like logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, and multi-layer perceptron classifier on the UNSW-NB15 dataset, aiming to discern their effectiveness in detecting and classifying network attacks on IoMT networks. A nuanced methodology integrating random forest and feedforward neural networks is also presented, offering enhanced insights into attack categorization and feature importance. The findings underscore the potential of advanced ML models and privacy-preserving techniques in fostering a secure, resilient, and ethical digital ecosystem, paving the way for future research and development in these pivotal domains. The amalgamation of these insights not only contributes to the advancements in network security and data privacy but also lays down a foundational framework for the responsible and innovative evolution of technology in the digital era. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is common platform provide connectivity between various type of devices are having communication capability. Main objective of IoT is to deploy effective and high-quality smart services which offer different type services. Therefore, IoT need an advanced protocol stack which provides inter-communications between different types of devices have differet service requirements. IoT uses TCP and UDP as transport layer protocols to achieve the quality of service (QoS) required by different IoT devices. The XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol), MQTT (MQ Telemetry Transport) and RESTful HTTP are IoT application protocols which use TCP as a transport layer protocol. The transport layer protocol offers service point addressing, flow control, congestion control and segmentation, reassembling. As a number of different types of device increases over the Internet, network congestion also increases. In current internet scenario, TCP is responsible for congestion control over the Internet. However, current available TCP versions are not enough capable to handle different type of devices to fulfil the need of IoT. Therefore, this paper provides a survey of various congestion control algorithms used at transport layer. This paper includes available congestion control algorithms, their advantages, disadvantages and existing problems with TCP in IoT domains. © 2018 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.

In today's scenario when more and more enterprises are shifting towards cloud computing, the variety volume and velocity of the cloud is expected to cope up to the expectations. Although big data centers and latest technologies have handled huge volumes of data but still the problem of integrating heterogeneous data on the cloud persists. This paper proposes a model for integrating heterogeneous data on the cloud focusing on the security of data at rest. The model is based on service oriented computing, as services are based on fundamental features of interoperability and loose coupling. The diﬀerent layers of the proposed model deal with various aspects of data interpretation on cloud. The client layer provides interface to the client and works on basic request and response parameters. The service inventory layer comprises of diﬀerent services working on integration and encryption of data and the cloud data layer holds the actual data in uniform format. The paper aims to provide a solution to the heterogeneous data integration problem on cloud and data security at rest. © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The optimum EKHO-IMC-PID controller and reduction using EKHO (Enthalpy-based Krill Herd optimization) for LFC of large-scale power systems are developed in this research using the model approximation method. Aiming to reduce the performance parameter known as Integral Square Error (ISE) between their step responses results in the creation of the ideal Reduced Order Model (ROM) for the understudied large-scale power system. A Lyapunov stability theory-created effective linear matrix inequality protects the integrity of entire power systems. Later, the LFC design is implemented rather than the high-scale power system module using an optimised ROM. The innovative EKHO -IMC- PID controller architecture improves power system performance by providing adequate reference input tracking performance, resilience in disturbance rejection, and better reference input tracking performance, the unique EKHO-IMC- PID controller architecture enhances the dynamic stability of the power system. The simulation findings unmistakably demonstrate a significant improvement in LFC responsiveness during load disturbances and uncertainty when compared to some other prior studies. © 2023 IEEE.

This work develops an optimal AGWO IMC PID controller and derating using AGWO (Adaptive Gray Wolf Optimization Algorithm) for load frequency control (LFC) of high-power systems using model approximation methods. An ideal low-dimensional model (ROM) of the studied large-scale energy system is identified by reducing the integral squared error (ISE) between step responses, a performance parameter used to quantify performance. Lyapunov stability theory produces strong linear matrix inequalities that guarantee the integrity of the entire energy system. Second, the LFC design is done using an optimized ROM rather than a high-power grid concept. AGWO's new IMC-PID controller architecture improves power system dynamic stability by providing excellent reference input tracking performance, robust spurious rejection, and improved reference input tracking performance. In comparison to earlier studies, the simulation results clearly demonstrate a significant improvement in the LFC's reaction to load disturbances and the existence of uncertainties. © 2023 IEEE.

The objective of this paper is to study and compare the debt financing decisions and practices of the public sector, private sector and foreign controlled companies in India. It also finds out the impact of the liberalized environment, in terms of the significant changes, if any, in the phase-2 (1998-2003) of the liberalized business scenario vis-à-vis phase-1 (1992–1997). The declining trend in the debt ratios suggests that majority of the corporate firms are reducing the preference for debt. The study indicates that the profile of debt financing has significantly changed during the period covered by the study. A notable finding of the study is that there is a shift towards preference for short-term debt as against long-term debt. The economic and financial reforms have caused a significant decrease in the use of debt, particularly long-term, in financing the assets of the sample corporate enterprises in India. Throughout the period of study, ownership control was a significant factor in determining the extent of debt financing. With strong waves of globalization and liberalization sweeping across the world, those firms in India that have lagged behind are required to take a bold initiative to make qualitative changes in their debt financing decisions, if they are to remain competitive in domestic as well as international markets

Power system is broad, wide and complex area to do research therefore, for reducing complexity;there is an enormous possibility of simplification of large system in the field of science and technology. Hence, this paper presents a new vital advance methodology a mixed demand reduction that uses logarithmic assembly technique and the second Cauer form to minimize the order of multivariate feed systems on a large scale power system. Model order reduction technique helps to reduce the large scale power system into an approximate small scale model without changing the inherent property of the actual system. A multi-boundary model of the low-order model is achieved by utilizing new methodology for the aggregation of the pound called the logarithmic mass of the poles, while the numeral coefficients are obtained in the second form of Cauer. The usefulness of the anticipated technique has been tested on two-area power system models. © 2021 institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.
