With the advent of knowledge economy, online education relies on the Internet and mobile terminals, it breaks the limitation of time and space of traditional education. Online education has gradually becoming a new way for people to learn. Under the special background of COVID-19 since 2020, online education has been well applied. The course of Web application Development Technology is not only a course which is the core course in software development for computer majors, but also is a course with strong practicality and application. With the rise of data storage computing and IoT technology. The increase in data volume and user demand, the accurate delivery of data and low latency during transmission become important factors that affect the end-user experience. To address this issue, previous authors have proposed the concept of edge computings. In the general environment of edge computing, reasonable scheduling of edge caches can largely achieve low latency and high efficiency, thus improving user experience. In this paper, based on existing research, we propose a combination of a joint learning framework for cache prediction based on region popularity and an edge collaborative cache value optimization method to further improve cache hit rate and cache utilization efficiency. With the explosion of ChatGPT, the development of artificial intelligence technology ushered in another explosion. Aiming at the problem of quality assurance of intelligent logistics service in 5G+ edge computing environment, this paper proposes a mechanism based on federated cooperative cache, which aims to utilize the computing and storage resources of edge nodes to realize rapid processing and sharing of logistics data and improve the efficiency and reliability of logistics services. This paper first analyzes the characteristics and challenges of intelligent logistics services under 5G+ edge computing environment, and then introduces the concept and principle of federated cooperative cache, as well as its application scenarios and advantages in intelligent logistics services. Then, this paper designs an intelligent logistics service quality assurance mechanism based on federated cooperative cache, including five modules such as data partitioning, data transmission, data fusion, data access and data update, and gives the corresponding algorithms and processes. Finally, this paper verifies the effectiveness and performance of the proposed mechanism through simulation experiments. Compared with the traditional centralized cache and distributed cache, the proposed mechanism can reduce the data transmission delay, improve the data hit rate and data consistency, so as to ensure the quality of intelligent logistics services. In the future, the federated collaborative cache mechanism can be further optimized to consider the needs of multiple scenarios. The metaverse originated from science fiction at first, but it gradually came into reality with the continuous power of technology. Aiming at the problems of course work in Chinese universities, such as its function is weakened or suppressed, its form is too abstract, and it lacks elaborate design, this paper proposes a design method of course work meta-universe based on extended reality under edge computing. XR technology is used to realize the interactive immersion of the coursework meta-universe, in order to improve students’ learning enthusiasm and ability to solve abstract problems. Based on the international perspective, this paper systematically combs and analyzes the integration architecture, application scenarios and future trends of the meta-universe education application based on Edge computing (MEC). Four key processes are described: teacher-student interaction, data collection, data feedback and comprehensive evaluation. To address the problem that the classification and cleaning of garbage in city streets is always ineffective nowadays, the paper proposes a garbage detection method based on edge intelligence. The edge intelligence not only reduces the computational load of the cloud and speeds up the data transmission, but also greatly reduces the data transmission cost. First, images of city streets are collected and uploaded to the edge device via mobile devices in various locations in the city. Then, the edge server is used to temporarily store the image information, and the PeleeNet model deployed on it is used to identify and classify various kinds of garbage, and then visualize the information of each street. Finally, the street garbage information is transmitted to the cloud, which provides a detailed picture of the city’s garbage situation and facilitates city management. In this paper, the PeleeNet model is compared with ResNet, DenseNet and MobileNet models. The results show that the edge devices equipped with PeleeNet model not only have the fastest computation speed and the highest accuracy, but also occupy the least memory. In recent years, gestures have been widely used in many fields. For example, human-computer interaction, virtual reality, gesture translation, etc. The reason for its rapid development is due to the emergence of deep learning and artificial intelligence under today’s society. Due to dynamic gestural interactions, such large intelligent models are often characterized by many parameters, large sample size, frequent parameter updates, and high communication volume. Based on this feature, we propose a cloud-based edge design architecture approach for gesture recognition based on an improved YOLOv5 network model optimization by changing different gestures, background interference, which uses a 21-layer model for the neural network. With the use of edge intelligence, the computational accuracy can be improved by 10.6% over the traditional YOLOv5 with a MAP value of 93.3%. The final recall rate is also improved by 3.6%. The parameter model is only 43.6% of the original one. This shows the practicality and operability of using edge computing as a technique in gesture recognition, as well as the small improvement cost and obvious effect. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.
