In the development of unconventional oil and gas reservoirs, fracturing has become a conventional way to improve single well recovery. The backflow process after fracturing, as the last process before production, is the key to determining the effectiveness of fracturing transformation. However, due to the complexity of the backflow problem, there is currently no mature theory of backflow after hydraulic fracturing. The on-site backflow process is often determined by experience, which has great blindness and arbitrariness. In response to this challenge, a comprehensive consideration is given to the issues of crack closure, formation fluid flow, and wellbore flow involved in fracturing backflow. Grey correlation degree and an improved grey correlation degree method are introduced to conduct grey correlation degree analysis on the parameters affecting the fracturing backflow effect. establish a systematic trend of change, and establish a model for the main factors affecting the effect. Analyze the patterns reflected in the changes of the system and provide the influencing factors with the highest weight. The research results have achieved theoretical guidance for stabilizing pressure, controlling liquid, and controlling sand during the backflow process, providing important scientific support for efficient backflow. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. In the implementation process of traditional horizontal wells, the degree of data sharing and collaboration among multiple specialties such as drilling, directional drilling, and mud logging are low, which cannot fully meet the construction needs of horizontal wells under complex conditions, resulting in low reservoir penetration rate and long drilling cycles of horizontal wells. Accordingly, An integrated geology & engineering mud logging geo-steering mode is constructed consisting of "geo-steering+directional drilling+drilling risk assessment+mud logging technology+remote informatization", With geo-steering as the core, geological and engineering perspectives and comprehensive analysis have been taken into account, and intelligent analysis models have been developed to enhance analytical and decision-making capabilities. An integrated geology & engineering remote geo-steering platform has been developed to promote information sharing, intelligent analysis, and collaborative decision-making among different locations, times, and professionals. In the process of horizontal well construction, the application of this comprehensive geo-steering mode promotes the comprehensive application and analysis ability of downhole drilling data and mud logging data, with the principle of improving reservoir penetration rate, while considering the feasibility and safety of engineering trajectory, effectively reducing the construction risk of horizontal wells, and achieving the dual goals of geology and engineering. It provides strong technical support for improving the drilling efficiency and development effect of horizontal wells, and provides technical reference for the application of drilling technology in complex horizontal wells. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. The instability of wellbore pressure has been puzzling the safety of petroleum industry, including personal safety and environment. In the process of drilling, it is of great significance to establish a timely and accurate judgment method for overflow and leakage. Overflow and leakage often occur during drilling. The monitoring of pump stop and backflow has been used all over the world for more than ten years, which can help to detect overflow. However, it is always a difficult problem to set alarm threshold and identify abnormal backflow, which largely depends on the manual process of implementing the experience and intuition of this key safety monitoring engineer. This manual process often misses the early signs of overflow and leakage, thus greatly increasing the risk of well control. In this paper, the sample data of pump stop reflux combined with standard deviation algorithm is used to identify and judge overflow and leakage in real time. The method for judging overflow and leakage based on standard deviation algorithm includes: stopping the pump and collecting the return sample data;A real-time cumulative reflux calculation method, a reflux sample is calculated by adopting a standard deviation algorithm, a reflux intelligent early warning model is generated, and new real-time reflux data is automatically analyzed by using the generated reflux intelligent early warning model to judge whether there is early overflow or leakage;This method is superior to the existing manual detection methods, and can help drillers and drilling engineers to detect early overflow and leakage;The field example shows that overflow and leakage can be accurately and quickly identified in the early stage by measuring and processing the return sample data of drilling pump stop and combining with the standard deviation algorithm. The traditional logging FID technology, which achieves a 30 second cycle detection of methane to pentane can no longer fully meet the identification and discovery of thin layers, fractures, etc. under fast drilling conditions. We have conducted research on intelligent optical spectroscopy logging technology, developed a mixed gas quantification algorithm based on calibration curves, proposed net spectrum extraction technology and nonlinear spectrum reconstruction technology, successfully solved two problems including absorption spectrum cross interference and nonlinearity, and achieved overlapping peak decomposition and accurate quantification. It can detect methane, ethane, propane, i-butane, n-butane, i- pentane, n-pentane, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide with a minimum detection of 0.0010%. The detection cycle for methane to pentane is only 10 seconds, making it more suitable for oil and gas identification under rapid drilling conditions. © 2024 SPIE.

The purpose of rock cuttings logging is to create a geological profile in real time and identify oil and gas shows as soon as possible, playing an irreplaceable role in the oil exploration field. However, as drilling technology has developed rapidly, geological logging has encountered production problems such as untimely rock cuttings retrieval under fast drilling conditions, difficulty in analyzing and identifying the rock cuttings under high fragmentation conditions, and high labor costs for the labor-intensive operation. The development of rock cuttings intelligent collection device fundamentally solves these technical shortcomings by utilizing the principles of electromechanical and pneumatic integration. It designs a set of functional modules for automatic rock cuttings catching, transmission, separation, cleaning, storing, element analysis, online white & fluorescence logging etc. Through the promotion of actual field application, it greatly improves the timeliness ratio of rock cuttings collection, reduces labor intensity and operational risks, and provides high-quality analytical samples for other specialized technologies such as light hydrocarbons, geochemistry and nuclear magnetic resonance. At the same time, its integrated laser-induced element analysis and online white & fluorescence logging technology effectively assists in rapid lithology naming, quantitative oil and gas identification, and precise formation interval delineation, the overall design of the equipment has industry-leading levels. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. With the increasing complexity of oil and gas reservoirs, the identification of reservoirs and fluid properties has become more and more difficult, which brings more challenges to hydrocarbon discovery and interpretation, economic capacity assessment, and development program formulation, and at the same time, the process of decision-making in efficient exploration and development is particularly important, which puts higher requirements on the real-time and accuracy of interpretation while drilling. At present, the recording and analysis tools are constantly enriched, showing obvious advantages in the identification and evaluation of unconventional and complex hydrocarbon formations, and accumulating a large amount of data, but the interpretation and evaluation still remain at the level of qualitative and manual interpretation. In order to better utilize the advantages of mud logging technology in interpretation while drilling, intelligent interpretation and evaluation techniques have been established, including: (1) Data depth processing-the development of four techniques, such as automatic data review and processing, full data depth correction of mud logging, multi-factor comprehensive correction of gas logging data, and fine inversion techniques for minerals while drilling, to effectively explore the effective information of the original data;(2) Data mining-the development of gray correlation sensitive parameter preference, the rapid establishment of interpretation methods and other 2 technologies, from scattered, disorderly, large amounts of data to mine key data and establish supporting interpretation methods;(3) Automatic interpretation logic-combined with the density of wells in the block, the number of oil test results, and the characteristics of mud logging technology parameters, a cyclic decision tree was established as the core algorithm, realizing the automatic interpretation of hydrocarbon formations in the drilling process;(4) Intelligent matching mod

With the advancement of exploration and development, various mud logging technologies have been gradually developed. Among these technologies, light hydrocarbon logging plays a crucial role in identifying reservoir fluid properties, guiding engineering decisions, and selecting reservoirs for oil testing due to its high resolution, accuracy, and anti-interference capabilities. However, light hydrocarbon logging technology has its limitations, for its single point analysis, lengthy analysis time, and lack of timeliness. On the other hand, gas logging technology offers good continuity and timeliness. Therefore, GW-OLS online light hydrocarbon logging technology is developed by integrating the advantages of the two logging technologies. This technology can obtain real-time reservoir data, including C1-C8, a total of 15 kinds of hydrocarbon components, with good continuity, high timeliness, resolution, accuracy, strong anti-interference, and other advantages. Through the research, the online light hydrocarbon logging gas index Lg, oil index Lo, water index Lw, and other derived parameters are established, which can realize the timely and accurate identification of fluid properties during the drilling process. Currently, online light hydrocarbon logging has been applied in many oil fields such as Liaohe, Jidong, and Changqing, and verified by oil tests, with a coincidence rate of up to 81.9%, demonstrating its extremely high application and promotion value. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. Mechanism of proppant transport and deposition in rough intersecting fractures after offshore fracturing

To accurately analyze proppant transport in rough intersecting fractures and elucidate the interaction mechanisms among liquid,particles,and rough walls,this study reconstructed a numerical model of fractures in inhomogeneous reservoirs with varying brittleness index(BI).Various auto-correlation Gaussian rough fracture models were created using Matlab to assess roughness through the fractal dimension *** research innovatively combined Boolean operations to establish three-dimensional rough fracture models,incorporating(Computational Fluid Dynamics)CFD-DEM(Discrete Element Method)with a bidirectional method for *** proppant transport in fractures was categorized into three zones based on the difference in the turbulent kinetic *** induced fracture roughness increases fluid retention and turbulence,causing plugging effects and limiting proppant flow into branch ***,compared with the superior deposition and significant support effects of the spherical proppant,the low-sphericity proppant traveled farther under fracturing fluid,inducing more pronounced plugging near curved fracture intersections;the variation in fracture intersection angles primarily impacted the wall shear stress within the flow field,indicating smaller angles led to higher shear energy at the *** with the intersection angle of 30°,the height and area deposited in the 90 branch fracture increased by 52.25%and 65.33%,respectively:notably,injecting proppant from smaller to larger particles(S:M:L)and a low velocity effectively ensured fracture conductivity near the wellbore at joint roughness coefficient(JRC)≥46 while achieving satis-factory placement in the branch fracture,making it a recommended approach.

Aiming at the complexity of outcrop lithology identification, an improved outcrop lithology identification algorithm based on DeepLabv3 + is proposed. We use the Xception network replaced by the MobileNetV2 module to enhance the ability to extract lithologic features and make the model more lightweight. In order to segment pixels more accurately, the CA (Coordinate attention) attention mechanism is introduced, so that the improved backbone network can extract lithologic features more accurately in complex environments. The experimental results show that compared with the traditional DeepLabv3 +, the accuracy of the improved algorithm is increased by 1.08 percentage points, the MP A is increased by 2.4 percentage points, and the average classification accuracy is 94.86 %. Compared with other mainstream semantic segmentation models, all aspects of performance are more prominent. © 2024 IEEE.
