High-resolution point clouds (HRPCD) anomaly detection (AD) plays a critical role in precision machining and high-end equipment manufacturing. Despite considerable 3D-AD methods that have been proposed recently, they still cannot meet the requirements of the HRPCD-AD task. There are several challenges: i) It is difficult to directly capture HRPCD information due to large amounts of points at the sample level;ii) The advanced transformer-based methods usually obtain anisotropic features, leading to degradation of the representation;iii) The proportion of abnormal areas is very small, which makes it difficult to characterize. To address these challenges, we propose a novel group-level feature-based network, called Group3AD, which has a significantly efficient representation ability. First, we design an Intercluster Uniformity Network (IUN) to present the mapping of different groups in the feature space as several clusters, and obtain a more uniform distribution between clusters representing different parts of the point clouds in the feature space. Then, an Intracluster Alignment Network (IAN) is designed to encourage groups within the cluster to be distributed tightly in the feature space. In addition, we propose an Adaptive Group-Center Selection (AGCS) based on geometric information to improve the pixel density of potential anomalous regions during inference. The experimental results verify the effectiveness of our proposed Group3AD, which surpasses Reg3D-AD by the margin of 5% in terms of object-level AUROC on Real3D-AD. Swin Transformer-Based CSI Feedback for Massive MIMO

For massive multiple-input multiple-output systems in the frequency division duplex (FDD) mode, accurate downlink channel state information (CSI) is required at the base station (BS). However, the increasing number of transmit antennas aggravates the feedback overhead of CSI. Recently, deep learning (DL) has shown considerable potential to reduce CSI feedback overhead. In this paper, we propose a Swin Transformer-based autoencoder network called SwinCFNet for the CSI feedback task. In particular, the proposed method can effectively capture the long-range dependence information of CSI. Moreover, we explore the impact of the number of Swin Transformer blocks and the dimension of feature channels on the performance of SwinCFNet. Experimental results show that SwinCFNet significantly outperforms other DL-based methods with comparable model sizes, especially for the outdoor scenario. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) possess high mobility and flexible deployment capabilities, prompting the development of UAVs for various application scenarios within the Internet of Things (IoT). The unique capabilities of UAVs give rise to increasingly critical and complex tasks in uncertain and potentially harsh environments. The substantial amount of data generated from these applications necessitates processing and analysis through deep neural networks (DNNs). However, UAVs encounter challenges due to their limited computing resources when managing DNN models. This paper presents a joint approach that combines multiple-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) and generative diffusion models (GDM) for assigning DNN tasks to a UAV swarm, aimed at reducing latency from task capture to result output. To address these challenges, we first consider the task size of the target area to be inspected and the shortest flying path as optimization constraints, employing a greedy algorithm to resolve the subproblem with a focus on minimizing the UAV’s flying path and the overall system cost. In the second stage, we introduce a novel DNN task assignment algorithm, termed GDM-MADDPG, which utilizes the reverse denoising process of GDM to replace the actor network in multi-agent deep deterministic policy gradient (MADDPG). This approach generates specific DNN task assignment actions based on agents’ observations in a dynamic environment. Simulation results indicate that our algorithm performs favorably compared to benchmarks in terms of path planning, Age of information (AoI), energy consumption, and task load balancing. Multi-modal Data based Semi-Supervised Learning for Vehicle Positioning

In this paper, a multi-modal data based semisupervised learning (SSL) framework that jointly use channel state information (CSI) data and RGB images for vehicle positioning is designed. In particular, an outdoor positioning system where the vehicle locations are determined by a base station (BS) is considered. The BS equipped with several cameras can collect a large amount of unlabeled CSI data and a small number of labeled CSI data of vehicles, and the images taken by cameras. Although the collected images contain partial information of vehicles (i.e. azimuth angles of vehicles), the relationship between the unlabeled CSI data and its azimuth angle, and the distances between the BS and the vehicles captured by images are both unknown. Therefore, the images cannot be directly used as the labels of unlabeled CSI data to train a positioning model. To exploit unlabeled CSI data and images, a SSL framework that consists of a pretraining stage and a downstream training stage is proposed. In the pretraining stage, the azimuth angles obtained from the images are considered as the labels of unlabeled CSI data to pretrain the positioning model. In the downstream training stage, a small sized labeled dataset in which the accurate vehicle positions are considered as labels is used to retrain the model. Simulation results show that the proposed method can reduce the positioning error by up to 30% compared to a baseline where the model is not pretrained. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. Quantivine: A Visualization Approach for Large-scale Quantum Circuit Representation and Analysis

Quantum computing is a rapidly evolving field that enables exponential speed-up over classical algorithms. At the heart of this revolutionary technology are quantum circuits, which serve as vital tools for implementing, analyzing, and optimizing quantum algorithms. Recent advancements in quantum computing and the increasing capability of quantum devices have led to the development of more complex quantum circuits. However, traditional quantum circuit diagrams suffer from scalability and readability issues, which limit the efficiency of analysis and optimization processes. In this research, we propose a novel visualization approach for large-scale quantum circuits by adopting semantic analysis to facilitate the comprehension of quantum circuits. We first exploit meta-data and semantic information extracted from the underlying code of quantum circuits to create component segmentations and pattern abstractions, allowing for easier wrangling of massive circuit diagrams. We then develop Quantivine, an interactive system for exploring and understanding quantum circuits. A series of novel circuit visualizations are designed to uncover contextual details such as qubit provenance, parallelism, and entanglement. The effectiveness of Quantivine is demonstrated through two usage scenarios of quantum circuits with up to 100 qubits and a formal user evaluation with quantum experts. Industrial Cyber-Physical systems (ICPS) integrating disciplines such as computer science, communication technology, and engineering, have become a crucial component of modern manufacturing and industry. However, ICPS faces numerous challenges during long-term operation, including equipment faults, performance degradation, and security threats, etc. To achieve efficient maintenance and management, prognostics and health management (PHM) has been widely applied in the critical tasks of ICPS such as fault prediction, health monitoring, and maintenance decision-making. The emergence of large-scale foundation models (LFMs) like BERT and GPT marks a significant advancement in artificial intelligence (AI) technology, demonstrating substantial application potential in multiple fields. The accumulation of AI technology, rapid development of LFMs, and the abundance of industrial data and industrial process knowledge provide the foundational conditions for the construction and advancement of industrial LFMs. However, there is currently a lack of consensus on applying LFMs of PHM in ICPS, necessitating a systematic review and roadmap to clarify future development directions. To bridge this gap, this survey provides a comprehensive survey and understanding of the recent advances in LFMs of PHM in ICPS. It provides valuable references for decision makers and researchers in the industry, and helps to further improve the reliability, availability and safety of ICPS. © 2023 IEEE.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been increasingly employed as aerial servers in mobile edge computing (MEC) systems, providing essential computing, communication, and storage services for edge users. This UAV-assisted MEC paradigm shows great promise in enhancing both computing and communication performances. However, the presence of malicious jammers poses significant challenges to the system's reliability and efficiency. In this study, we explore the resource management problem in a multi-UAV-assisted MEC scenario under the influence of multiple malicious jammers. To mitigate the impact of jamming attacks, we propose a resource management approach with the primary objective of minimizing system energy consumption and latency while adhering to UAV energy constraints. Due to the dynamic and time-varying nature of the communication environment, we present a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-based algorithm that dynamically adjusts the CPU frequency and communication bandwidth of the UAV to optimize the system performance even under jamming attacks. Through simulations, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in significantly reducing the overall system latency (both computational and communication latency) as well as minimizing energy consumption.

On Facebook, the social media site, liking, commenting and sharing the posts or status of other users are usually considered to be the key mechanisms for exchanging opinions about different topics. Due to the non-availability of data and security constraints, only few research studies have analyzed such behavior. In this paper, we introduced a novel deep neural network model for user behavior prediction (like and comment). We presented an embedding representation method for the textual content of comments and posts based on the contextual recursive auto-encoders model. The users were represented using a deep joint auto-encoders model to fuse the users' like and comment information, and train the users' combined embedding representation. Then, the user behaviors towards a given post were embedded into the same feature space of users and posts, using the joint auto-encoders model. Thereafter, we used a fully connected layer for behavior prediction. To train and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, we also constructed a large dataset collected from Facebook. The experimental results show that the proposed method could achieve better results than the previous alternative methods. © 2019 IEEE.

High-fidelity kinship face synthesis has many potential applications, such as kinship verification, missing child identification, and social media analysis. However, it is challenging to synthesize high-quality descendant faces with genetic relations due to the lack of large-scale, high-quality annotated kinship data. This paper proposes RFG (Region-level Facial Gene) extraction framework to address this issue. We propose to use IGE (Image-based Gene Encoder), LGE (Latent-based Gene Encoder) and Gene Decoder to learn the RFGs of a given face image, and the relationships between RFGs and the latent space of Style-GAN2. As cycle-like losses are designed to measure the $\mathcal{L}_{2}$ distances between the output of Gene Decoder and image encoder, and that between the output of LGE and IGE, only face images are required to train our framework, i.e. no paired kinship face data is required. Based upon the proposed RFGs, a crossover and mutation module is further designed to inherit the facial parts of parents. A Gene Pool has also been used to introduce the variations into the mutation of RFGs. The diversity of the faces of descendants can thus be significantly increased. Qualitative, quantitative, and subjective experiments on FIW, TSKinFace, and FF-Databases clearly show that the quality and diversity of kinship faces generated by our approach are much better than the existing state-of-the-art methods.

Industrial Metaverse leverages the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) to integrate data from diverse devices, employing federated learning and meta-computing to train models in a distributed manner while ensuring data privacy. Achieving an immersive experience for industrial Metaverse necessitates maintaining a balance between model quality and training latency. Consequently, a primary challenge in federated learning tasks is optimizing overall system performance by balancing model quality and training latency. This paper designs a satisfaction function that accounts for data size, Age of information (AoI), and training latency. Additionally, the satisfaction function is incorporated into the utility functions to incentivize node participation in model training. We model the utility functions of servers and nodes as a two-stage Stackelberg game and employ a deep reinforcement learning approach to learn the Stackelberg equilibrium. This approach ensures balanced rewards and enhances the applicability of the incentive scheme for industrial Metaverse. Simulation results demonstrate that, under the same budget constraints, the proposed incentive scheme improves at least 23.7% utility compared to existing schemes without compromising model accuracy.
