This position paper proposes a collaboration method between Semantic Web and Fuzzy Logic aiming to handle uncertainty in the information retrieval process in order to cover more relevant items in result of search process. The collaboration method employs OWL ontology in query enhancement, RDF in annotation process and fuzzy rules in ranking enhancement.

To begin with, the semantic web service adaptation is based on the addition of contextual information to this web service description. So the technique of adapting the web service allows the user to establish reusable, interoperable, flexible and context-aware applications. The basic feature of the pervasive applications is the context-awareness. What is more, the pervasive systems are based on the NNN paradigm (aNywhere, aNytime, with aNything). Therefore, these systems must be used in different contexts depending on the user environment, his profile and the used terminal. Indeed, this type of system is dynamically adapted. Furthermore, we seek to offer a dynamic description of the web services. This objective, however, can be achieved by adding contextual information structures to the web service description. In the literature, more research works strive to combine the contextual description with the web service description by using the OWL-S structure. In fact, the main objective of this paper is to propose structures with two levels for the contextual description of the pervasive system. The first level is used to select the adapted web service to respond to the users needs, while the second level is aimed to offer the user the adapted description to respond to these needs. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

With the increasing number of users of text to speech applications, high quality speech synthesis is required. However, only few researches concern Arabic text to speech applications. Compared with other languages such as English and French the quality of Arabic synthesis speech is still poor. For these reasons, we propose in this paper an Arabic text to speech synthesis system based on statistical parametric synthesis. Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), energy and pitch are predicted using back propagation artificial neural networks and then transformed into speech using Mel Log Spectrum Approximation filter. Often, in Arabic written text, the short vowels called diacritic marks are omitted. So, a diacritization system is proposed to resolve this problem. Different unit sizes are considered in speech database which are phoneme, diphone and triphone. MFCC neural network architecture and an objective evaluation with the MFCC distortion measure are given in this paper.

The sentiment classification is one of the new challenges emerged with the advence of social networks. Our purpose is to determine the sentimental orientation of a Facebook comment (positive or negative) by using the linguistic approach. In most of the sentiment analysis applications using this approach, the sentiment lexicon plays a key role. Thus, it is very important to create a lexicon covering several sentiment words. For this reason, we address in this paper the problem how to group and list words present in the corpus into two dictionaries. We proposed a new automatic technique to create the positive and negative dictionaries that exploits the emotions symbols (emoticons, acronyms and exclamation words) present in comments. More importantly, our idea allows to enlarge these dictionaries with an enrichment step. Finally, by using these prepared dictionaries, we predict the positive and negative polarities of the comment. We evaluate our approach by comparison to human classification. Our results are also effective and consistent.

Even if the progress of Hidden Markov Models (HMM) is huge, those models lack a discriminatory ability especially on speech recognition. In order to ameliorate the results of recognition systems, we apply Support Vectors Machine (SVM) as an estimator of posterior probabilities since they are characterized by a high predictive power and discrimination. Moreover, they are based on a structural risk minimization (SRM) where the aim is to set up a classifier that minimizes a bound on the expected risk, rather than the empirical risk. In this paper, we describe the use of the hybrid model SVM/HMM for Arabic triphones-based continuous speech. Furthermore, our work incorporates the stage of preparing language models. It consists in a novel approach for automatic labeling with respect to syntax and grammar rules of the Arabic language. The best results are obtained with the proposed system SVM/HMM when we achieve 76.96% as the best recognition rate of a tested speaker. The speech recognizer was evaluated with ARABIC_DB corpus and performs at 11.42% WER as compared to 13.32% with triphones mixture-Gaussian HMM system.

Bayesian Networks (BNs) are good tools for representing knowledge and reasoning under conditions of uncertainty. In general, learning Bayesian Network structure from a data-set is considered a NP-hard problem, due to the search space complexity. A novel structure-learning method, based on PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) and the K2 algorithm, is presented in this paper. To learn the structure of a bayesian network, PSO here is used for searching in the space of orderings. Then the fitness of each ordering is calculated by running the K2 algorithm and returning the score of the network consistent with it. The experimental results demonstrate that our approach produces better performance compared to others BN structure learning algorithms.

In order to resolve the inefficiency for XML data query and support dynamic updates, etc. This paper has proposed a XML document coding schema based of binary tree traversal (BBCTT). Firstly, the XML document tree has been converted into the binary tree of XML document. Secondly, all nodes of the binary of XML document have been encoded with binary. According to characteristic of XML document tree and binary tree, query of XML document can be implemented. Experiment and analysis show that the coding not only has characteristic of a small storage space and relation determination of logic structure, but also can support dynamic update. © 2013. Business process outsourcing has regained further attention with the emergence of Cloud computing. In fact, enterprises can benefit from the cloud at the service (i.e., business), the platform and/or the infrastructure levels. Face to these various benefits, an enterprise that desires to outsource and/or deploy parts of its business process in the Cloud must resolve two decisional points: which part of its business process to outsource, which Cloud and which level of the Cloud environment are the most beneficial. The resolution of these decisional points must take into account several contextual factors that are specific to each enterprise. This paper presents the elements of enterprise context that influence the decision whether to outsource or not in a Cloud environment. In addition, it shows how AHP can be used to assist manager in taking their decision.
