E-health Application In IoMT Environment Deployed in An Edge And Cloud computing Platforms

Different countries may use E-health in Health systems that include all the institutions, organizations, and resources that are devoted to promote, sustain, or restore health. The basic goal of E-health projects is to enhance the delay of the service. Healthcare data now are being moved and collected from Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) environment. Different researches shows that recent E-health application is deployed in distributed computing and especially cloud computing is being used more frequently. Most of these applications are based on intelligent algorithm’s such as KNN, SVM and deep learning algorithms etc… Which require more height power computing and storage capacity, but cloud computing with this delicate algorithm and with the sensitive health domain has some tradeoffs in handling the large amount of data from different IoMT devices, so it effects the delay which can cause risk. We propose Edge computing to address the limitations of cloud. By transferring some of the computing to the network’s edge, edge computing can significantly increase processing efficiency. In order to accomplish our goal, we first deploy our health application based on IoMT environment in a cloud. Then, we run it in an edge, and we analyze the response times in each of these situations. The experimental study proves that the proposed approach reduces delay in response time compared to the use of clouds.

In this paper, the problem of collaborative vehicle sensing is investigated. In the considered model, a set of cooperative vehicles provide sensing information to sensing request vehicles with limited sensing and communication resources. A base station (BS) determines the subset of sensing request vehicles that each cooperative vehicle will serve and the sub-regions that each cooperative vehicle will detect. We formulate an optimization problem aiming to maximize the number of successfully detected sub-regions of sensing request vehicles while satisfying the cooperative sensing energy requirement by jointly determining the cooperative vehicle association and the sensing sub-region selection. To solve this problem, we propose a graph attention based reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm that can generate the graph information vectors based on the correlation between each cooperative vehicle and each sensing request vehicle. Using the learned graph information, the joint cooperative vehicle association and sensing sub-region selection strategy will be determined. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can improve the number of successfully detected sub-regions of sensing request vehicles by up to 12.5% compared to the conventional RL algorithm without using graph attention networks (GANs). © 2024 IEEE.

Quantum networks provide opportunities and challenges across a range of intellectual and technical frontiers,including quantum computation,communication,and *** traditional communication networks,quantum networks utilize quantum bits rather than classical bits to store and transmit *** key distribution(QKD)relying on the principles of quantum mechanics is a key component in quantum networks and enables two parties to produce a shared random secret key,thereby ensuring the security of data *** this work,we propose a cost-effective quantum downstream access network structure in which each user can get their corresponding key information through terminal *** on this structure,we demonstrate the first four-end-users quantum downstream access network in continuous variable QKD with a local local *** contrast to point-to-point continuous variable QKD,the network architecture reevaluates the security of each user and accounts for it accordingly,and each user has a lower tolerance for excess noise as the overall network expands with more ***,the feasibility of the experiment is based on the analysis of the theoretical model,noise analysis,and multiple techniques such as the particle filter and adaptive equalization algorithm used to suppress excess *** results show that each user can get a low level of excess noise and can achieve secret key rates of 546 kbps,535 kbps,522.5 kbps,and 512.5 kbps under a transmission distance of 10 km,respectively,with the finite-size block of 1×10~*** not only verifies the good performance but also provides the foundation for the future multi-user quantum downstream access networks.

Efficient and accurate early prediction of Alzheimer's disease (AD) based on the neuroimaging data has attracted interest from many researchers to prevent its progression. Deep learning networks have demonstrated an optimal ability to analyse large-scale multimodal neuroimaging for AD classification. The most widely used architecture of deep learning is the Convolution neural networks (CNN) that have shown great potential in AD detection. However CNN does not capture long range dependencies within the input image and does not ensure a good global feature extraction. Furthermore, increasing the receptive field of CNN by increasing the kernels sizes can cause a feature granularity loss. Another limitation is that CNN lacks a weighing mechanism of image features;the network doesn't focus on the relevant features within the image. Recently,vision transformer have shown an outstanding performance over the CNN and overcomes its main limitations. The vision transformer relies on the self-attention layers. The main drawbacks of this new technique is that it requires a huge amount of training data. In this paper, we combined the main strengths of these two architectures for AD classification. We proposed a new method based on the combination of the Cross ViT and Wide Residual Squeeze-and-Excitation Network. We acquired MRI data from the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) and the Open Access Series of Imaging Studies (OASIS). We also proposed a new data augmentation based on the self attention progressive generative adversarial neural network to overcome the limitation of the data. Our proposed method achieved 99% classification accuracy and outperforms CNN models. © 2021 - IOS Press. All rights reserved.

Nowadays, the virtual learning environment has become an ideal tool for professional self-development and bringing courses for various learner audiences across the world. There is currently an increasing interest in researching the topic of learner dropout and low completion in distance learning, with one of the main concerns being elevated rates of occurrence. Therefore, the early prediction of learner withdrawal has become a major challenge, as well as identifying the factors, which contribute to this increasingly occurring phenomenon. In that regard, this manuscript presents a framework for withdrawal prediction model for the data from The Open University, one of the largest distance learning institutions. For that purpose, we start by pre-processing the dataset and tackling the challenge of discretization process and unbalanced data. Secondly, this paper identifies the semantical issues of raw data by introducing new behavioural indicators. Finally, we reckon on machine learning algorithms for withdrawal prediction model to understand the lack of learners’ commitment at an early stage. Copyright © 2021, IGI Global. In multi-site brain disease diagnosis studies, traditional centralized training methods necessitate sharing medical data, posing significant privacy risks. Federated learning (FL) offers a privacy-preserving solution by enabling global model training through aggregating locally trained models from multiple data centers without sharing raw data. However, current FL approaches rely on a server-based network topology, where central server failure disrupts training. Additionally, data heterogeneity across sites often slows convergence and reduces accuracy. To overcome these issues, we introduce a decentralized personalized federated learning collaborative aggregation network (pFedCAN). This framework has two core components: (1) separating local models into shared and personalized layers, and (2) forming a collaborative aggregation network via similarity detection in the shared layers. Specifically, each center trains its local model, then separates it into shared and personalized layers. The shared layer is exchanged with other centers, while the personalized layer remains local. Data centers analyze similarities in received shared layers to build a collaborative network, where shared layers from similar centers are aggregated to refine the model. This approach flexibly adapts to varying levels of data heterogeneity, enhancing model training efficiency. Validation on public datasets, ABIDE I and ADHD, shows that the proposed method outperforms current leading techniques. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper proposes an emotion recognition system based on speech signals in two-stage approach, namely feature extraction and classification engine. Firstly, two sets of feature are investigated which are: the first one, we extract an 42-dimensional vector of audio features including 39 coefficients of Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), Zero Crossing Rate(ZCR), Harmonic to Noise Rate (HNR) and Teager Energy Operator (TEO). And the second one, we propose the use of the method Auto-Encoder for the selection of pertinent parameters from the parameters previously extracted. Secondly, we use the Support Vector Machines (SVM) as a classifier method. Experiments are conducted on the Ryerson multimedia laboratory (RML). © 2020 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

In this paper, a person identification system has been simulated using electrocardiogram (ECG) signals as biometrics. In this work, we propose a two-phase method to conduct human identification using the ECG signal, which are the feature extraction and the classification. In the first phase, it makes a fusion of three new types of characteristics: cepstral coefficients, ZCR, and entropy. In the second phase, the support vector machines (SVM) has been applied for the classification system. The proposed methods are evaluated using two public databases namely MIT-BIH arrhythmia and ECG-ID database obtained from the Physionet database. Experimental results show that our features can achieve high subject identification accuracy of 100% on ECG signals that are from the MIT-BIH database, ECG-ID (Five recording), and ECG-ID (Two recording), indicating that our features makes it possible to improve the efficiency of our identification system. © 2020 The Authors. Quantum Direct Steganography Scheme Based on Modified Generator Projection Directions of Steane Code over a Single-Type Pauli Channel

In quantum mechanics, measurements of a quantum state in various directions yield distinct outcomes, a principle that forms the foundation of quantum communication theory. This paper expands upon this concept by introducing a method to modify generator projection directions (MGPD) within quantum stabilizer codes. Employing the Steane code ((7, 1, 3) code), as a fundamental carrier, we develop a novel scheme for direct quantum steganography across a single-type Pauli channel. The infeasibility of eavesdropping decoding under MGPD is proven. We detail the steganographic encoding and decoding schemes, corresponding quantum circuits, and eavesdropping detection principles. We also use a’Sudoku’-style strategy to balance steganographic error probabilities and provide the complete steganography protocol. Relative to existing studies, the MGPD method achieves embedding rates approaching and attaining the upper limit of the information capacity for the (n, k, d) = (7, 1, 3) code within a noise probability range of approximately 1/(n + 1) = 12.5%. It also reduces the consumption of auxiliary keys from O(log (N)) to O(1), while enabling eavesdropping detection and steganography of arbitrary quantum states. We investigate its potential applications in quantum communication and assess its benefits in the context of secret information transmission and eavesdropping detection in noisy channels. Although the MGPD method incorporates certain idealized assumptions and limitations, it provides novel perspectives on the concealment of quantum information. Copyright © 2025, The Authors.
