In order to solve the practical problem of 24-hours dynamic reactive power optimization in power system dispatching, according to the limit output range of generator's operation, this paper divides generator's operation into three regions in PQ mathematical model and takes the action times of discrete control equipment as global inequality constraints, finally establishes a complete 24-hours non-linear mixed integer dynamic reactive power optimization mathematical model. The simulation results show that the mathematical model in this paper can adjust the output of the generators according to the actual situation effectively when the generators are in phase-leading operation. In addition, dynamic reactive power optimization reduces the number of control equipment's action at the cost of inc.easing active power loss in the whole network. So, In order to ensure the safe and economic operation of power grid, it is necessary to coordinate the relationship between active power loss and the constraints of control equipment's action. This paper has positive reference significance for power system dispatching. © 2019 IEEE.

With the rapid development of ICT technology and automation control technology, the distribution network has gradually transformed into a distribution network information physical system (distribution network CPS) with highly coupled information systems and physical systems. The information system supports the stable operation of the physical system, and it also brings certain security risks to the distribution network CPS. Therefore, information impact should be considered in the original single physical anticipated fault assessment. This paper proposes a security analysis and evaluation method for distribution network CPS considering information-physical combination anticipated fault screening. Firstly, based on the CPS structure of the distribution network, a CPS correlation matrix model of the distribution network that can reflect the power-information coupling characteristics is established. Then analyze the correlation between information failure and physical failure, and construct an initial information-physical combination anticipated fault set according to topology correlation and service correlation. Then, based on the fault recovery rate ordering, the key information- physical combination anticipated fault is selected. Finally, for the selected combination of anticipated failures, the security assessment of the distribution network CPS security assessment indicators is carried out, and verified in the example.

The combination of photovoltaic (PV) power generation and voltage source converter-based high voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) system is one of the development directions of new energy power generation and its power transmission in the future. Power grid failure or maintenance will lead to power outage. In order to reduce the economic loss caused by this, the PV-VSC-HVDC coordinated control system is used to continuously supply power to loads in island state to maintain its normal operation. By analyzing the mechanism and cause of the islanding effect, a coordinated control strategy suitable to PV-VSC-HVDC system is proposed. Finally, a PV-VSC-HVDC grid-connected system was built based on Matlab/Simulink, and a detailed simulation analysis of the operating characteristics of the system is made. The simulation results show that this control strategy can realize the smooth switch from grid-connected state to island state, ensuring the stable operation of the loads and reducing the economic loss caused by power failure.

Current transformer (CT) disconnection of bus is prone to maloperation of bus differential protection. The existing criteria for CT disconnection do not fully consider the distinc.ion between heavy load high impedance fault and external metal fault transfer to internal high impedance fault. And not fully consider the influence of one-half wiring circulation and unbalanced impedance on CT disconnection zero sequence criterion. Based on the theoretical analysis of the characteristics of braking current variation and zero sequence current distribution in the event of internal fault, this paper puts forward a fast blocking criterion of CT disconnection based on braking current and zero sequence current, and carries out simulation verification. Both the theory and the simulation show that there is a drop of braking current in the event of internal fault. The distribution of zero sequence current in the event of CT disconnection is obviously different from that in the event of internal fault. The criterion proposed in this paper can effectively and reliably distinguish CT disconnection from internal fault.

In view of the shortage of direct measurement method for shafting of large generator sets, this paper proposes a sensor monitoring technology based on illumination emphasis. The article first introduces the research status of the shaft torque of thermal power units, and expounds the theory of mode interference and the theory of twist sensing. Then, the LP mode simulation of single-mode fiber and two-mode fiber is carried out, which is an effective method for symmetrical higher-order mode. Finally, the simulation of the mode interferometer, the spectrum and the phase during twisting is carried out. It is clarified that the non-circular symmetrical mode with π phase difference electric field distribution is the key inducement of the interferometric phase jump and spectrum flipping in twisting measurement. This article provides theoretical guidance for subsequent device fabrication and spectral distortion analysis.

In the integrated operation mode of the smart grid dispatching and control system, there is a large amount of real-time data such as important alarms and manual operations that need to be shared between systems. How to synchronize these real-time data across systems with high reliability and performance becomes a problem to be solved. This paper studies the application scenarios of cross-system message synchronization and proposes a scheme based on redundant dual networks, inc.uding hardware and software architecture. The key technologies and important functions were implemented, reliability and throughput verifications were performed, and the expected results were achieved.

When the renewable energy power station is inc.uded, the primary frequency regulation(PFR) of the grid can make a big difference. New control methods are proposed to accommodate this *** this case,we propose an on-line monitoring and evaluation method which based on PMU dynamic data for PFR of renewable energy power station. Firstly, the characteristics of the PFR of the renewable energy power station are expounded. Secondly, quantitative evaluation indicators of PFR are proposed. Finally, the concrete implementation method and an application example are introduced. The method has been applied in practice and has obtained good application results. © 2019 IEEE.

To solve the reactive power and voltage coordinated control of parallel running static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) in wind farm, a reactive power and voltage coordinated control strategy is proposed based on the united control mode of voltage control and reactive power control. The strategy makes full use of the control characteristics of STATCOM fast regulation and stable voltage, the voltage of the point of common coupling (PCC) connect with power system is quickly adjusted, and optimize the dynamic reactive power which reserve in wind farm. Finally, the wind farm in china wind power cluster area is taken as an example for practical application, the practical application results verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy. © 2019 IEEE.

Pumped storage power stations play an great role in promoting new energy consumption, ensuring the safety of power grid, building clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system, and has a broad development prospect. SFC is the most important start-up mode of pumped storage unit, and the output transformer is an important equipment of SFC system, which needs to be equipped with reliable and fast differential protection to ensure its safe and reliable operation. The current frequency varies from 0 to 50Hz during SFC start-up, so the conventional transformer differential protection can not adapt. In this paper, the output transformer differential protection technology is studied according to the electrical characteristics and short circuit fault characteristics of SFC start-up process, the high precision frequency algorithm and the RMS integration algorithm with compensation are proposed to realize the precise measurement of frequency and amplitude, and the ultra-low frequency CT saturation identification technology is proposed to realize the whole process protection of the output transformer from start-up to grid-connection.

China Southern Power grid (CSG) hosted a competition of AI short-term load forecasting with real-world load data in Sept 2019. nari technology was invited for the 10 days closed match and got the 2 nd prize among 28 top players in China, such as research institutes, universities, and system suppliers. This paper highlights the best practices we did in the competition: feature selection of short-term load forecasting, outlier data preprocessing for both load data and meteorological data, multiple head long short term memory (LSTM) neural network innovation and data augmentation with the benchmark. opportunities for improvements are considered as well.
