Multiview fuzzy clustering (MVFC) has gained widespread adoption owing to its inherent flexibility in handling ambiguous data. The proliferation of privatization devices has driven the emergence of new challenge in MVFC research works. Federated learning, a technique that can jointly train without directly using raw data, has gain significant attention in decentralized MVFC. However, their applicability depends on the assumptions of data integrity and independence between different views. In fact, while within distributed environments, data typically exhibits two challenging problems: 1) multiple views within a single client;2) incomplete data. Existing methods exhibit limitations in effectively addressing these challenges. Hence, in this study, we aim at achieving the effective clustering for incomplete data by a novel vertical federated MVFC framework. Specifically, a unified clustering framework is designed to capture both local client learning and global server training. For the local client learning, the data reconstruction strategy and prototype alignment strategy are introduced to ensure the preservation of data structure and refinement of clustering relationships, which mitigates the impact of incomplete data. Meanwhile, the global training process implements aggregation based on client-specific information. The whole process is realized based on the unified fuzzy clustering framework, promoting collaborative learning between client-specific and server information. Theoretical analyses and extensive experiments are carefully conducted to validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method from multiple perspectives. © 1993-2012 IEEE.

Abstract: In this paper, motivated by previous related works on a kind of quantum local adiabatic evolution, we mainly study the circuit model of its corresponding quantum global adiabatic search algorithm, in which the evolving paths functions in the system Hamiltonian have a general form instead of the usual linear interpolating ones which are widely investigated in the literature. The main conclusion found here can be summarized as follows. Though this quantum adiabatic computation can demonstrate various algorithmic performances, when considering implementing it by a quantum circuit, the time slices thus produced always keep as an invariant which is proportional to inverse square of the overlap between the initial and final states in the problem of interest and also equal to that of multiplying the time complexity and the energy together, by noting that compared with the usual adiabatic evolutions, there is being a great increase of energy of the system. As far as we know, the result exposed here is new and is hoped to be useful for further understanding the kind of quantum adiabatic evolution itself and its connection with the quantum circuit model. Also, we hope the main conclusion here will be ubiquitous when considering applying this kind of quantum adiabatic evolution to solve the problems beyond quantum search. In recent years, as people’s living standards have improved and consumption concepts have been transformed, the demand for purchasing consumer electronics online has continued to grow, further stimulating the development of the logistics industry. Consequently, how to deliver consumer electronics to households at minimal cost has become a crucial factor that limits the development of the consumer technology industry. To tackle this problem, this paper studies the task assignment problem for multiple initially dispersed UAVs to deliver products to target locations while minimizing their total operation time. Each UAV can continuously provide delivery services to multiple target locations within its limited loading capacity and operation time. To solve this problem, we propose several hybrid multipopulation genetic algorithms. First, a novel crossover operator for the genetic algorithms is designed, through which a single parent chromosome can generate offspring individually. Second, two mutation mechanisms are performed to increase gene diversity. Third, multiple local search strategies are employed to enhance the populations’ fitness during each iteration of evolution. An improved 2-opt local search strategy is applied to optimize individual chromosomes when their similarity with the current best chromosome falls below a prescribed threshold. Alternatively, local search strategies are utilized for 1-opt, 2h-opt and interchange processes. Combining local search strategies, genetic operators, and the multi-population mechanism leads to several hybrid multi-population genetic algorithms. Numerical simulations and experimental tests demonstrate that the hybrid multi-population genetic algorithm, integrated with the improved 2-opt and 1-opt local search strategies, exhibits superior performance among the designed hybrid genetic algorithms, the minimum marginal cost algorithm (MMA), and the existing popular Co-evolutionary Multi-population Genetic Algorithm (CMGA). Short-term origin-destination passenger flow forecasting in urban rail transit systems: An ensemble deep learning approach based on data augmentation

Accurate network-level Origin-Destination (OD) passenger flow forecasting is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and service quality of urban rail transit (URT). In URT networks, a significant portion of the passenger flow comes from medium and low flow OD pairs. However, network-level OD passenger flow data exhibit characteristics such as high-dimensional sparsity, data availability, and strong randomness, which severely constrain the performance of forecasting models for medium and low flow OD pairs. In view of this, this study proposes an ensemble deep learning framework (PatchPF) with data augmentation at its core, aimed at short-term OD passenger flow forecasting at the URT network level. We introduce a novel BaggingT mechanism to implement time series ensemble forecasting in PatchPF to further improve the forecasting performance and robustness. The PatchPF architecture is tested on real-world metro datasets from Chongqing and Chengdu, China. The results indicate that it outperforms the other benchmark models. Moreover, the PatchPF architecture does not exhibit the performance bottlenecks in forecasting medium and low flow OD pairs that other state-of-the-art models do, demonstrating the effectiveness of PatchPF and its key components in OD passenger flow forecasting.

Multi-criteria group sorting (MCGS) that considers linguistic preferences involves multiple individuals evaluating alternatives and assigning them to pre-determined ordered categories based on specific criteria. Nevertheless, due to the limited availability of class information and the constrained cognitive capacity of decision-makers (DMs), it becomes challenging for DMs to furnish explicit preference information to reach consensus. Besides, decision parameters such as consensus threshold and class thresholds are also too hard to be assumed in advance. Therefore, this paper studies the preference disaggregation problem in MCGS, in which DMs are allowed to provide their pairwise comparisons in flexible linguistic expressions (FLEs) as preference information. To more fully utilize the preferences, semantic granulation is introduced. First, an individual consistency recognition model is proposed to identify inconsistent preferences and provide modification directions to the corresponding individuals. Next, semantic granulation and maximum entropy are combined into a granulation-driven information transformation model to convert the preference information based on FLEs into triangular fuzzy numbers (TFNs). Subsequently, in the consensus-driven preference disaggregation model, decision parameters and sorting results can be obtained at the premise of consensus by adjusting weights. Ultimately, to substantiate the effectiveness of the proposal, two numerical applications concerning the sorting of government venture capitals and information system suppliers are presented, along with comparative analysis, sensitivity analysis, and simulation analysis. © 2025 The Authors

Anomaly detection aims to find outliers data that do not conform to expected behaviors in a specific scenario, which is indispensable and critical in current safety environments related studies. However, when performing outlier detection on a large-scale multidimensional dataset, most of the traditional methods make no distinctions between classes of outliers and lack the reasoning ability and the explainability of the analysis results, which leads to the low accuracy of global outlier detection and the inability to effectively identify local outliers. In this paper, we propose a fine-grained anomaly detection method which well utilizes isolation forest and knowledge graph reasoning tactics. First, a better extracting data feature method and a more reasonable weighted strategy are used to find global outliers based on the traditional isolation forest algorithm, and then we construct a custom rule base according to the in-depth research and analysis of global abnormal data, and at last the ontology knowledge is reasoned based on such rule base to achieve the detection of local outliers. Through analysis of extensive experiment results, our method could effectively discover more abnormal data without big loss of time costs, has strong generalization, and correspondingly improves the performance for abnormal detection. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Exploring the thermodynamic stability and electronic structure of ZnNb₂O₆(001) surface through first-principles calculations

The polar surface of ZnNb₂O₆ material holds considerable importance and practical significance. Using first-principles calculations, the structure, charge redistribution, electronic properties, and thermodynamic stability of the ZnNb₂O₆(001) surface were examined. The crystal was cleaved along the (001) plane to form nine surface slab models, of which five surface terminations are feasible under specific chemical conditions. The optimized structural configurations of these terminations illustrate the charge transfer due to polarity compensation and the differences in electronic structure caused by surface reconstruction. Surface metallization, resulting from the atypical saturation of surface states, acts as a compensatory mechanism for pronounced surface polarity. The ZnNb₂O₆(001) surface slab exhibits a shift in its electronic band structure, transitioning from semiconductor characteristics to metallic properties. The nature of the charge carriers (p-type or n-type) depends on the specific surface termination. The unique electronic properties of the ZnNb₂O₆(001) surface arise from significant variations in volume and polarity compensation. This detailed atomic-level understanding is expected to stimulate further theoretical and experimental investigations into this novel photocatalytic material. © 2025

Knowledge Graph (KG) is an essential research direction that involves storing and managing knowledge data, but its incompleteness and sparsity hinder its development in various applications. Knowledge Graph Reasoning (KGR) is an effective method to solve this limitation via reasoning missing knowledge based on existing knowledge. The graph Convolution Network (GCN) based method is one of the state-of-the-art approaches to this work. However, there are still some problems, such as the insufficient ability to perceive graph structure and the poor effect of learning data features which may limit the reasoning accuracy. This paper proposes a KGR architecture based on a graph sequence generator and multi-head self-attention mechanism, named GaM-KGR, to improve the above problems and enhance prediction accuracy. Specifically, the GaM-KGR first introduces the graph generation model into the field of KGR for graph representation learning to obtain the hidden features in the data so that enhancing the reasoning effect and then embeds the generated graph sequence into the multi-head self-attention mechanism for subsequent processing to improve the graph structure perception ability of the proposed architecture, so that it can process the graph structure data more appropriately. Extensive experimental results show that the GaM-KGR architecture can achieve the state-of-the-art prediction results of current GCN-based models. © 2023 IEEE.

Production optimization is of significance for carbonate reservoirs,directly affecting the sustainability and profitability of reservoir *** physics-based numerical simulations suffer from insufficient calculation accuracy and excessive time consumption when performing production *** establish an ensemble proxy-model-assisted optimization framework combining the Bayesian random forest(BRF)with the particle swarm optimization algorithm(PSO).The BRF method is implemented to construct a proxy model of the injectioneproduction system that can accurately predict the dynamic parameters of producers based on injection data and production *** the help of proxy model,PSO is applied to search the optimal injection pattern integrating Pareto front *** experimental testing,the proxy model not only boasts higher prediction accuracy compared to deep learning,but it also requires 8 times less time for *** addition,the injection mode adjusted by the PSO algorithm can effectively reduce the gaseoil ratio and increase the oil production by more than 10% for carbonate *** proposed proxy-model-assisted optimization protocol brings new perspectives on the multi-objective optimization problems in the petroleum industry,which can provide more options for the project decision-makers to balance the oil production and the gaseoil ratio considering physical and operational constraints.
