Multiview fuzzy clustering (MVFC) has gained widespread adoption owing to its inherent flexibility in handling ambiguous data. The proliferation of privatization devices has driven the emergence of new challenge in MVFC research works. Federated learning, a technique that can jointly train without directly using raw data, has gain significant attention in decentralized MVFC. However, their applicability depends on the assumptions of data integrity and independence between different views. In fact, while within distributed environments, data typically exhibits two challenging problems: 1) multiple views within a single client;2) incomplete data. Existing methods exhibit limitations in effectively addressing these challenges. Hence, in this study, we aim at achieving the effective clustering for incomplete data by a novel vertical federated MVFC framework. Specifically, a unified clustering framework is designed to capture both local client learning and global server training. For the local client learning, the data reconstruction strategy and prototype alignment strategy are introduced to ensure the preservation of data structure and refinement of clustering relationships, which mitigates the impact of incomplete data. Meanwhile, the global training process implements aggregation based on client-specific information. The whole process is realized based on the unified fuzzy clustering framework, promoting collaborative learning between client-specific and server information. Theoretical analyses and extensive experiments are carefully conducted to validate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method from multiple perspectives. © 1993-2012 IEEE.

On time slices, time complexity, and energy increase in implementing quantum adiabatic evolution by circuit model

Abstract: In this paper, motivated by previous related works on a kind of quantum local adiabatic evolution, we mainly study the circuit model of its corresponding quantum global adiabatic search algorithm, in which the evolving paths functions in the system Hamiltonian have a general form instead of the usual linear interpolating ones which are widely investigated in the literature. The main conclusion found here can be summarized as follows. Though this quantum adiabatic computation can demonstrate various algorithmic performances, when considering implementing it by a quantum circuit, the time slices thus produced always keep as an invariant which is proportional to inverse square of the overlap between the initial and final states in the problem of interest and also equal to that of multiplying the time complexity and the energy together, by noting that compared with the usual adiabatic evolutions, there is being a great increase of energy of the system. As far as we know, the result exposed here is new and is hoped to be useful for further understanding the kind of quantum adiabatic evolution itself and its connection with the quantum circuit model. Also, we hope the main conclusion here will be ubiquitous when considering applying this kind of quantum adiabatic evolution to solve the problems beyond quantum search. In recent years, as people’s living standards have improved and consumption concepts have been transformed, the demand for purchasing consumer electronics online has continued to grow, further stimulating the development of the logistics industry. Consequently, how to deliver consumer electronics to households at minimal cost has become a crucial factor that limits the development of the consumer technology industry. To tackle this problem, this paper studies the task assignment problem for multiple initially dispersed UAVs to deliver products to target locations while minimizing their total operation time. Each UAV can continuously provide delivery services to multiple target locations within its limited loading capacity and operation time. To solve this problem, we propose several hybrid multipopulation genetic algorithms. First, a novel crossover operator for the genetic algorithms is designed, through which a single parent chromosome can generate offspring individually. Second, two mutation mechanisms are performed to increase gene diversity. Third, multiple local search strategies are employed to enhance the populations’ fitness during each iteration of evolution. An improved 2-opt local search strategy is applied to optimize individual chromosomes when their similarity with the current best chromosome falls below a prescribed threshold. Alternatively, local search strategies are utilized for 1-opt, 2h-opt and interchange processes. Combining local search strategies, genetic operators, and the multi-population mechanism leads to several hybrid multi-population genetic algorithms. Numerical simulations and experimental tests demonstrate that the hybrid multi-population genetic algorithm, integrated with the improved 2-opt and 1-opt local search strategies, exhibits superior performance among the designed hybrid genetic algorithms, the minimum marginal cost algorithm (MMA), and the existing popular Co-evolutionary Multi-population Genetic Algorithm (CMGA). Anomaly detection aims to find outliers data that do not conform to expected behaviors in a specific scenario, which is indispensable and critical in current safety environments related studies. However, when performing outlier detection on a large-scale multidimensional dataset, most of the traditional methods make no distinctions between classes of outliers and lack the reasoning ability and the explainability of the analysis results, which leads to the low accuracy of global outlier detection and the inability to effectively identify local outliers. In this paper, we propose a fine-grained anomaly detection method which well utilizes isolation forest and knowledge graph reasoning tactics. First, a better extracting data feature method and a more reasonable weighted strategy are used to find global outliers based on the traditional isolation forest algorithm, and then we construct a custom rule base according to the in-depth research and analysis of global abnormal data, and at last the ontology knowledge is reasoned based on such rule base to achieve the detection of local outliers. Through analysis of extensive experiment results, our method could effectively discover more abnormal data without big loss of time costs, has strong generalization, and correspondingly improves the performance for abnormal detection. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Knowledge Graph (KG) is an essential research direction that involves storing and managing knowledge data, but its incompleteness and sparsity hinder its development in various applications. Knowledge Graph Reasoning (KGR) is an effective method to solve this limitation via reasoning missing knowledge based on existing knowledge. The graph Convolution Network (GCN) based method is one of the state-of-the-art approaches to this work. However, there are still some problems, such as the insufficient ability to perceive graph structure and the poor effect of learning data features which may limit the reasoning accuracy. This paper proposes a KGR architecture based on a graph sequence generator and multi-head self-attention mechanism, named GaM-KGR, to improve the above problems and enhance prediction accuracy. Specifically, the GaM-KGR first introduces the graph generation model into the field of KGR for graph representation learning to obtain the hidden features in the data so that enhancing the reasoning effect and then embeds the generated graph sequence into the multi-head self-attention mechanism for subsequent processing to improve the graph structure perception ability of the proposed architecture, so that it can process the graph structure data more appropriately. Extensive experimental results show that the GaM-KGR architecture can achieve the state-of-the-art prediction results of current GCN-based models. © 2023 IEEE.

Multiphase flows are of great importance for the sustainable utilization of geological resources and ecological protection. Numerical simulation, as a general and powerful approach for multiphase flow modeling, faces great computational challenge for large scale and heterogeneous problems. This study explores the possibility of a hybrid modeling architecture for nonlinear multiphase flow, which integrates physical modeling and deep learning approaches. By breaking down the coupled system into pressure and saturation equations, we construct novel solvers using a physics-guided U-net and Fourier Neural Operator instead of the traditional time-consuming implicit pressure solver. The coupling of our carefully designed solver for pressure and explicit solver for saturation provides a new perspective for modeling large scale complex multiphase flows. Our results demonstrate that this hybrid modeling architecture exhibits superior predictive performance for pressure and saturation, with relative error about 0.2% and 0.6%, respectively. More importantly, our hybrid solver can improve computational efficiency by several orders of magnitude compared to traditional numerical simulation workflows. Our work showcases that the proposed hybrid modeling approach incorporating physical modeling and deep learning is promising to provide a more flexible and powerful alternative for multiphase flow modeling in geological formations. © 2023 84th EAGE Annual Conference and Exhibition. Reinforcement learning (RL) has made great success in recent years. Generally, the learning process requires a huge amount of interaction with the environment before an agent can achieve acceptable performance. This motivates many techniques, such as incorporating prior knowledge which is usually presented as experts' demonstration, and using a probability distribution to represent state-and-action values, to accelerate the learning process. The methods perform well when the prior knowledge is genuinely correct and no much change occurs to the learning environment. However, the requirement is not perfectly realistic in many complex applications. The demonstration knowledge may not reflect the true environment and even be full of noise. In this article, we introduce a dynamic distribution merging method to improve knowledge utilization in a general RL algorithm, namely Q-learning. The new method adapts a normal distribution to represent state-action values and merges the prior and learned knowledge in a discriminative way. We theoretically analyze the new learning method and demonstrate its empirical performance over multiple problem domains. © 2020 IEEE.

The equipment management informatization and intelligentization in railway passenger stations is a significant component of the construction of intelligent stations. The current equipment management of railway passenger stations is slowly developing and backward in its approach. This paper studied the weaknesses of equipment management in railway passenger stations, conducted demand analysis, and proposed the development direction of equipment management in railway passenger stations with the support of theoretical basis and technical basis. The technical architecture of the high-precision positioning-based railway passenger station equipment management system was built from the terminal layer, application layer, service layer, data layer and perception layer, and four functional modules were designed for equipment management: equipment real-time dynamic trackment, full life-cycle management, equipment fault responsibility traceability, and incident response. The key technologies required for the construction of the system were studied, including Bayesian fusion-based equipment positioning technology with high accuracy and neural network-based remaining life prediction technology. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
