Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) can adaptively decompose multicomponent signals into a finite number of simple oscillatory mode functions termed intrinsic mode functions (IMFs) through a sifting process. In this paper, a tree-structured EMD filter is designed to describe the EMD algorithm. The core element of the EMD filter is called sifting filter which depicts the EMD sifting process of extracting an IMF. As a consequence, the tree-structured EMD filter can make toward a better understanding of the EMD method.

The problem of robust stochastic stabilization and robust H ∞ control for a class of uncertain stochastic time-delay Markovian jump system with state and input delays is discussed. Based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii function, a memory-less state feedback controller is designed in order to make the closed-loop system robust stochastic stable and meet H ∞ performance for all admitted uncertainties. At the same time, a sufficient condition for this problem is given in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). Finally, a numerical example shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper is to concern the resilient guaranteed cost controller of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) in vertical surface movement system. In this paper the system is a class of nonlinear singular time-delay systems with uncertainties. The uncertainties are not only in the systematic matrix but also in the controller gain. Based on linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), a resilient guaranteed cost controller is designed. In the end, through the simulation to the AUV vertical surface movement systems, the result illustrates the effectiveness of the design method.

A novel sensor for micro-magnetic field detection is proposed based on the physical characteristics and giant magneto-impedance (GMI) effect of Fe-Co-Si-B amorphous wires. The sensor circuit ensures high sensitivity,high detection precision,fast response and small power consumption. The signal processing circuit taking complex programmable logic device (CPLD) as core chip not only improves the identification ability for pseudo ferromagnetic objects,but also ensures the real-rime response. It is the foundation for the proposed sensor to serve widely in military and civil. By using its high sensitivity for geomagnetism variation,as an application example,the sensor is used to compare and analyze different cars.
