According to the parameters of the ABB-IRB2400 robot model, the D-H parameter method is used to establish the robot’s linkage coordinate system and determine the parameter values. The coordinate transformation matrix06T of IRB2400 robot is obtained through forward kinematics analysis, and the inverse kinematics transformation method is used to solve the joint variables of the robot. The feasibility and correctness of the forward and inverse kinematics of the robot are verified by modeling the robot entity and importing ADAMS simulation analysis software. Combining MoveIt’s robot kinematics solver and RRT algorithm motion planning library, RVIZ is used to verify the feasibility of correlation trajectory algorithm for linear and arc interpolation trajectory planning of robot arm, which provides a foundation for weld grinding robot trajectory planning under complex working conditions. © 2022, Politechnica University of Bucharest. To obtain the mass distribution law of behind-armor debris(BAD) produced by EFP vertically penetrating armored steel, the numerical simulation calculation of EFP vertically penetrating targets with different thicknesses (30mm~70mm) at different impact velocities (1600m/s~2000m/s) was carried out by using the numerical simulation method verified by experiments. Several classical natural fragment mass distribution models are used to study the mass distribution of the BAD generated by EFP and the target plate. The results show that the classical Mott formula is not suitable for describing the mass-quantity distribution of the BAD generated by warhead penetration, while the two-parameter Weibull distribution is a good fit for the mass distribution of the BAD, but both of them depend on the total number of fragments, and it is impossible to ensure that small debris is completely collected in the test. Therefore, it is often impossible to determine the total number of debris. In contrast, the Held distribution does not depend on the total number of debris, and the correlation coefficient of fitting results for the mass distribution of BAD is closest to 1, indicating that the Held distribution is the most suitable for describing the mass distribution of BAD. According to the variation of the characteristic parameter of Held distribution with the thickness of the target plate and EFP impact velocity, the mathematical expression between the characteristic parameter of Held formula and the dimensionless initial condition is established. Based on the Held distribution, a prediction model of the mass distribution of the BAD is established, which takes into account the impact velocity of EFP and the thickness of the target plate. The model estimation is in good agreement with the simulation results, which proves the accuracy of the established model. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

Large rotating flexible machines are prone to vibration at high speeds, which is a difficult engineering problem. In this study, we have deeply explored its nonlinear dynamic behavior and vibration mechanism, especially considering the effect of parallel misalignment. Through mathematical modeling and MATLAB simulations, we found that the rotational speed and the amount of misalignment are the key parameters affecting the stability of the system. The results show that the rotational speed and parallel misalignment are the sensitive parameters of the system. When the amount of misalignment is 0.002 mm, with the increase of rotational speed, the elastic beam exhibits nonlinear M-type vibration, doubly periodic and chaotic behaviors, which show high-frequency abrupt excitation;when the angular speed is 50 rad/s, with the increase of the amount of misalignment from 0.001 mm to 0.1 mm, the system exhibits the transformation of doubly periodic, chaotic and proposed periodic motions, and the characteristics of intermittent vibration are significant. These results provide an important theoretical basis for suppressing its nonlinear vibration. © 2024 The Authors.

To address abnormal situations such as packaging damage, liquid leakage, and item displacement during logistics package transportation, this paper introduces Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and image recognition technology to achieve real-time anomaly detection and alarm, improving the response speed and accuracy of the logistics system. First, by designing multiple layers of convolution and pooling layers, adding Batch Normalization layers and Dropout layers to prevent overfitting, a CNN deep learning model suitable for logistics package anomaly detection is constructed. key features are extracted through image preprocessing methods such as normalization and data enhancement to ensure that the model has high recognition adaptability to various abnormal situations such as damage and leakage. Secondly, through data enhancement methods such as rotation, scaling, brightness adjustment, and transfer learning using pre-trained models, the model's adaptability in different lighting, angles, and occlusion conditions is improved. Finally, the model is applied to actual monitoring, and real-time alarms are issued for abnormalities such as damage and leakage, which are then fed back to the system closed-loop management. This method is significantly better than traditional methods in terms of detection accuracy and response speed. Under natural light environment, the model detection accuracy is as high as 98.4%, reducing false positives and false negatives. Combining CNN's anomaly detection technology effectively improves the accuracy and efficiency of logistics monitoring and provides technical support for intelligent logistics management. ©2024 IEEE.

This study examines the critical velocity for initiating a covered explosive via fragment impact, crucial for enhancing ammunition safety and reliability. Using numerical simulation techniques, the initiation threshold and influencing factors under non-normal impact conditions are investigated, which are more relevant to battlefield scenarios. The Jacobs-Roslund formula for NTO based insensitive explosive is calibrated, which is applicable for both flat-nosed and standard conical-nosed fragments. To account for a large range of impact angles, a correction term is introduced, and the predicted values are in good agreement with the simulation results. The effects of fragment pitch, yaw, and charge curvature on the critical velocity are found to be minimal at impact angle not exceeding 25°. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. The separation of radionuclides is critical for the sustainable development of nuclear energy. It is urgent to design and prepare functionalized materials for efficient radionuclides separation. Porous materials are considered excellent candidates for the separation of radionuclides under complex conditions due to their high specific surface areas, tunable pore structures and controllable functionalities. In this review, we summarized the design, preparation and functionalization of porous materials and their application for separation of radionuclides in the past five years, discussed the separation performance and analyzed the structure-activity relationship between various radionuclides and porous materials, and systematically clarified their characterization and mechanism of different type porous materials. We also introduced the detection, irradiation and chemical toxicity of different reflective radionuclides.

Multi-objective optimization of heat sink with multi-cross-ribbed-fins for a motor controller

A novel multi-cross-ribbed-fin layout was proposed to supersede the original smooth fin to fulfill the lightweight requirement of the air-cooled heat sink for the electrical vehicle motor controller. The thermal design with multi-cross-ribbed-fins was optimized using the multi-objective optimization method to minimize the chip’s temperature rise and the weight of the heat sink simultaneously. The design variables are the number of multi-cross-ribbed-fins ranging from 12 to 24, the number of cross ribs on either side varying from 1 to 4, and cross rib height in the region of 1.00–2.50mm. The standard k-Ε turbulence model was validated compared to the experimental data for the original heat sink with smooth fins. The Pareto front solution set was obtained by performing the mixed-level orthogonal design procedure with the numerical simulations, constructing the surrogated-based model with backpropagation neural net training, and implementing the genetic algorithm. The numerical results showed that the recommended optimal designs have the multi-cross-ribbed-fin number of 17–19, the number of cross ribs of 2–3, and a cross rib height of 2.13–2.50mm. The maximum decreases in the temperature rise and weight are 7.63% and 9.45%, respectively. For verifying the superiority of current optimal designs, one of the optimal designs of the heat sink, which yields comparative temperature rise of the chip but reduced weight, was selected to be experimentally tested and compared with the data for the original heat sink. © 2022, The Author(s).

Aiming at the problem of external parameter calibration in the combined rotating three-dimensional(3D) scanning process of laser radar and turntable, a fast 3D data scanning and accurate equipment calibration method suitable for industrial application scenarios is proposed. The coordinates of the center of the circle in the laser radar coordinate system are obtained by fitting the coordinates of the center of the circle with the scanning arc. Through the standard size and rotation angle of the target ball, the coordinates of the ball center in the turntable coordinate system are obtained. The rotation parameter R and the translation parameter T of the minimum value of the data set conversion error function in the two coordinate systems are calculated. The experimental results show that the error between the converted data and the actual data is within 0.1 mm, which meets the actual work requirements. This calibration method has the advantages of high accuracy and strong robustness.
