To solve the problem that radar can still generate effective tracks to the covered target under the existing false target jamming technology, a method of jamming radar target track generation using finite false target signals is proposed through the plot and track correlation process of the radar in the initial stage of target searching and tracking. Through electronic reconnaissance, interception, and retransmission of radar signals by a jammer, a finite number of false target signals with random movement characteristics are generated around the covered target, interfering with track correlation during target data processing by radar. Simulation examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023 SPIE.

Avatars, as promising digital representations and service assistants of users in Metaverses, can enable drivers and passengers to immerse themselves in 3D virtual services and spaces of UAV-assisted vehicular Metaverses. However, avatar tasks include a multitude of human-to-avatar and avatar-to-avatar interactive applications, e.g., augmented reality navigation,which consumes intensive computing resources. It is inefficient and impractical for vehicles to process avatar tasks locally. Fortunately, migrating avatar tasks to the nearest roadside units(RSU)or unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV) for execution is a promising solution to decrease computation overhead and reduce task processing latency, while the high mobility of vehicles brings challenges for vehicles to independently perform avatar migration decisions depending on current and future vehicle status. To address these challenges, in this paper, we propose a novel avatar task migration system based on multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MADRL) to execute immersive vehicular avatar tasks dynamically. Specifically, we first formulate the problem of avatar task migration from vehicles to RSUs/UAVs as a partially observable Markov decision process that can be solved by MADRL algorithms. We then design the multi-agent proximal policy optimization(MAPPO) approach as the MADRL algorithm for the avatar task migration problem. To overcome slow convergence resulting from the curse of dimensionality and non-stationary issues caused by shared parameters in MAPPO, we further propose a transformer-based MAPPO approach via sequential decision-making models for the efficient representation of relationships among agents. Finally, to motivate terrestrial or non-terrestrial edge servers(e.g., RSUs or UAVs) to share computation resources and ensure traceability of the sharing records, we apply smart contracts and blockchain technologies to achieve secure sharing management. Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is an exceptionally effective imaging technology capable of acquiring ground information regardless of weather conditions and time of day. SAR finds extensive applications in target detection, tracking, and recognition. Despite its wide imaging coverage and high resolution, ship target detection images face several challenges. The most prominent challenge is that both traditional methods such as constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detection and deep neural network methods require complex and time-consuming imaging processing, including but not limited to range migration correction and pulse compression processes. Consequently, real-time detection becomes arduous, leading to delayed results for subsequent applications such as target monitoring and tracking. To address this issue, this study proposes a novel ship detection method that leverages deep learning techniques along with range-compressed data from SAR images to enhance immediate target perception with a convolutional neural network algorithm. The aim is to improve the accuracy and timeliness of ship detection tasks. Given the limited availability of literature on this subject matter, this paper aims to provide an analysis of the proposed method's effectiveness through experimental results while also discussing future prospects. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

Electromagnetic simulations and anechoic chamber measurements are commonly used to obtain target characteristics. The use of intermittent transceiver in anechoic chamber can effectively solve the problem of the signal coupling at the receiver. However, the method of equivalent simulation between electromagnetic simulation and intermittent transceiver is rarely discussed. In this paper, an intermittent transceiver echo equivalent simulation method in anechoic chamber is proposed based on space electromagnetic scattering data. Then, the characteristics of scattering points of targets under micro-motion conditions are analyzed. Finally, the equivalent relationship and processing flow between electromagnetic scattering data and intermittent transceiver echo are discussed. Simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

The electronic reconnaissance systems can obtain intelligence information from technical parameters of radiation sources. Then, anti-radiation missiles can be used to destroy radiation sources, seriously threatening the survival of radar systems. To improve radar counter-reconnaissance capability, various waveforms are proposed. Among the waveforms, amplitude coded modulation (ACM) can divide the pulse into many short pulses. The signal sorting may fail so that the signal is difficult to be recognized. Therefore, the ACM signal can improve the counter-reconnaissance performance. However, the signal counter-reconnaissance performance has not been discussed. Thus, the uniform and non- periodic ACM model are proposed in this paper. Time-frequency distribution entropy and intercept probability of ACM signal are utilized to evaluate the counter-reconnaissance performance. Simulations are conducted to verify the accuracy of theoretical analysis. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

The co-modulation is beneficial for increasing the anti-reconnaissance potential of radar waveform. Stepped frequency chirp (SFC) signal has the characteristics of both linear frequency modulation (LFM) signal and stepped-frequency waveform (SFW). Uniform interrupted modulation (UIM) can increase the complexity of the signal in the time domain. Therefore, the characteristics of the SFC signal with UIM are deduced in this paper. First of all, the processing method of the SFC signal is introduced. Then the characteristics of the SFC signal with UIM are analysed emphatically. The high-resolution range profile (HRRP) of the inter-pulse and intra-pulse interrupted modulation are both deduced respectively. It is concluded that the UIM between pulses brings the HRRP of the SFC signal multiple pseudo peaks extending along the range profile. However, there is no pseudo peak in the HRRP of the intra-pulse interruptedly modulated SFC signal. Signal simulation experiments are carried out with MATLAB to verify the accuracy of the theoretical analysis. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

Coding modulation is utilized to design radar waveform to obtain complex properties so that the waveform is difficult to be recognized. However, traditional coding modulation brings high sidelobe in target range profile which makes the detection performance decrease. To solve this problem, the interrupted coding modulation is proposed in this paper based on the interrupted transmitting and receiving. The signal model is provided and the low sidelobe property of range profile is discussed. Constant false-alarm rate (CFAR) is utilized to evaluate the detection performance of interrupted coding modulation waveform. Simulations are conducted to verify the low sidelobe property and detection performance of the proposed waveform. © The Institution of Engineering & technology 2023.

The information interaction in the formation tasks has higher and higher requirements on the timeliness of the communication system, but the electromagnetic environment in the confrontation environment is extremely unfavorable for the communication channel. Therefore, the high speed, high bandwidth and information interaction environmental interference, security, and cyber defense are the main contradictions in information interaction in systemic joint operations. The core task of the information distribution system is to maximize the compression of information content and reduce the pressure on information distribution to the communication system under the premise of ensuring the information needs of the node. The information distribution system mainly improves the periodic information distribution to distribution on demand, and global broadcast to accurate information push, realizing optimized information distribution. Image captioning is a vision-language task that targets at describing an image by generating a coherent sentence automatically. This technology allows computers to understand and describe images like humans, enabling further processing of images. It combines computer vision and natural language processing, which has broad applications. This paper investigates the use of vision-language pre-trained models for image captioning. In this article, an encoder-decoder hybrid model based on PVT and BERT is pre-trained on a large number of image-text pairs, possessing both understanding and generation capabilities. It consists of three components: 1) an image encoder and a text encoder to extract image and text features respectively;2) a multi-modal encoder to align the two modalities;and 3) a text decoder to generate text descriptions. This paper focuses on enhancing the image encoder of the model, which is crucial for image captioning models as it extracts high-resolution image features. Reducing training time and computational costs can also improve the applicability of pre-trained models. Improvements are made to the original model by modifying the ViT model architecture of the image encoding module. A feature pyramid structure and a spatial reduction attention mechanism is introduced to extract high-resolution image features while reducing computational complexity and memory usage, thereby enhancing the universality of the model. The model adopts a pure Transformer architecture, discarding the convolutional structure, and achieves excellent performance. © 2023 IEEE.

A method for integrated online identification of aerodynamic and thrust parameters has been proposed. Firstly, a motion model of an aircraft powered by a solid rocket ramjet engine was established in the longitudinal plane. Secondly, polynomial models of aerodynamic and thrust coefficients were established for the horizontal flight segment. Then, an integrated online identification simulation of aerodynamic and thrust parameters was carried out using the unscented Kalman filter method. The results indicate that the proposed method has high identification accuracy and efficiency. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.
