A Novel Method for Multi-Function Radar Work Mode Boundary Detection

Work mode boundary detection can provide basic information units for the recognition of consecutive work modes in the intercepted multi-function radar (MFR) pulse sequence. The existing boundary detection methods tend to detect false boundaries when the pulse parameters vary drastically within the work mode, such as when the pulse repetition interval (PRI) modulation type is stagger or agile. To address the issue of over-detection of the work mode transition boundary, a new work mode boundary detection method is proposed based on the arc crossings (AC). It utilizes AC to quantify and annotate the similarities within MFR work modes. Without relying on prior knowledge, it can accurately capture the structural characteristics of the boundary transition and effectively adapt to different pulse parameter modulation types. The experimental results show that it reduces the segmentation probabilistic error by 8.7% and false alarm rate by 19.85% compared to the baseline algorithm. © 2025, Electromagnetics Academy. The PDFs are usually treated as static documents in traditional impression, while the added functions in the new specifications make PDFs almost as powerful as executables. Although researchers have proposed many solutions, there are still some shortcomings, such as excessive overhead and being susceptible to parser confusion. In this paper, we propose a new perspective of PDF detection. Our insight is that malicious PDF documents often hide their malicious behaviors among benign ones but can be captured by the underlying traces of the operating system (OS) such as system calls. Based on this intuition, we propose a novel selection algorithm to identify suspicious parts in a system call sequence, complemented by a signal analysis method to extract global features. We evaluate our approach on a dataset of 848 documents, achieving a good detection performance with the ROC value of 0.98. Furthermore, we conduct a comprehensive interpretability study to understand the internals of the mode. Experimental results show that, compared with other methods, the proposed model has outstanding performance in feature extraction and training, effectively improving the accuracy of PDF detection. © 2024 IEEE.

Cluster-preserving sampling algorithm for large-scale graphs

Graph sampling is a very effective method to deal with scalability issues when analyzing largescale graphs. Lots of sampling algorithms have been proposed, and sampling qualities have been quantified using explicit properties(e.g., degree distribution) of the sample. However, the existing sampling techniques are inadequate for the current sampling task: sampling the clustering structure, which is a crucial property of the current networks. In this paper, using different expansion strategies, two novel top-leader sampling methods(i.e., TLS-e and TLS-i) are proposed to obtain representative samples, and they are capable of effectively preserving the clustering structure. The rationale behind them is to select top-leader nodes of most clusters into the sample and then heuristically incorporate peripheral nodes into the sample using specific expansion strategies. Extensive experiments are conducted to investigate how well sampling techniques preserve the clustering structure of graphs. Our empirical results show that the proposed sampling algorithms can preserve the population's clustering structure well and provide feasible solutions to sample the clustering structure from large-scale graphs.

The security of web components is increasingly concerned by the industry, and identifying web components is of great significance to both network attack and defense. Aiming at this problem, we propose a novel identification method of web components based on machine learning. We transform the Web component identification problem into a classification problem. On this basis, we further construct the framework for realizing this method, and implement the framework. The experimental results show that the application of this method can have a good recognition effect on Web components. © 2023 SPIE.

Tensor modeling can effectively improve the two-dimensional DOA estimation performance of the coprime planar array. However, the virtual array it constructs is not completely continuous, which will cause some virtual array elements to be unused, and the loss of the virtual array aperture. In this paper, a two-dimensional DOA estimation algorithm based on empty holes data filling is proposed by using tensor modeling. The algorithm first constructs a virtual uniform planar array with a large aperture, and uses the covariance tensor of the received signal to fill in the data of the corresponding position, and the data is set to 0 for the unfilled position. Then the SVT algorithm is used to estimate the unfilled position data to obtain the covariance tensor of the virtual uniform planar array. Finally, the DOA of the signal is obtained by combining CP decomposition and spectral peak search. Simulation experiments show that the proposed algorithm effectively improves the estimation accuracy of the algorithm. © 2022 IEEE.

Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities continue to pose a formidable challenge in the realm of web application security due to their prevalence. Despite the development of various defense mechanisms, including input validation techniques and code differentiation strategies, these solutions have struggled to achieve broad adoption in real-world environments due to persistent issues such as unreliable detection, high computational overhead, scalability limitations, and compatibility concerns. This paper introduces a novel managed proxy-based framework for XSS defense, positioned strategically between the web browser and the web server. This framework employs a tag-based XSS protection mechanism alongside a defense-in-depth strategy, providing robust protection not only against XSS attacks but also against other web threats. Furthermore, the framework integrates advanced web front-end hardening techniques to significantly complicate the exploitation of potential vulnerabilities. Comprehensive practical evaluations indicate that the proposed framework is both flexible and effective, demonstrating outstanding performance across multiple dimensions. © 2024 IEEE.

To ensure the security of neighbor discovery messages and processes, IPv6 subnets are increasingly deploying secure neighbor discovery (SEND) mechanisms. Although the cryptographically generated address (CGA) mechanism is the operating basis of the SEND mechanism, there is currently no technology or method for CGA configuration detection. To this end, the difficult problems lacking of CGA configuration detection method (such as the constraints caused by built-in neighbor discovery mechanism, identification of different SEND transition scenes, IPv6 address transformation) are analyzed through the in-depth analysis of the SEND mechanism and the CGA mechanism. Moreover, a CGA configuration detection method of IPv6 nodes by combining active probing and passive sniffing (CCD6-APPS) is proposed. Based on active probing and passive sniffing of active IPv6 nodes in the target IPv6 subnet, the proposed CCD6-APPS method can learn the SEND implementation methods and CGA configuration parameters of IPv6 nodes, and finally detect the coverage of SEND nodes in the target IPv6 subnet. By setting up a typical IPv6 neighbor discovery experimental environment and conducting targeted tests, the experimental results prove the effectiveness of the SSD6-APPS method, and the additional impact on the target IPv6 subnet is very small. © 2022 IEEE.
