VANET is new kind of Ad hoc. It is widely used in ITS (Intelligent Transportation systems), which has many characteristics as large scale network, fast moving nodes, the frequently changing topological structure and easily divided networks. Therefore, routing protocol design must fully consider of this characteristics with much node information that bring a great challenge to the security of VANET. In this paper, we divide the information type into four categories based on different content, and analyze the security threats in different information type, then summarize the existing security technologies and give the possible research directions.

A video saliency detection algorithm based on feature learning, calledrOCT, is proposed in this work. To detect salient regions, we design multiple spatiotemporal features and combine those features using a support vector machine (SVM). We extract the spatial features of rarity, compactness, andcenter prior by analyzing the colordistribution in each image frame. Also, we obtain the temporal features of motion intensity and motion contrast to identify visually important motions. We train an SVM classifier using the spatiotemporal features extracted from training video sequences. Finally, we compute the visual saliency of each patch in an input sequence using the trained classifier. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm provides more accurate andreliable results of saliency detection than conventional algorithms.

This paperreports a stator shape optimization design forreducing the cogging torque of single-phase brushless dC motor adopting an asymmetric air-gap to make them self-starting. Time step 2d-finite element analysis (FEA) was carried out to analyze the characteristics of a single-phase brushless dC motor. To reduce the cogging torque and maintain the efficiency and torque, the Kriging model based on Latin hypercube sampling (LHS) and a genetic algorithm (GA) were used. As an optimal design result, the cogging torque on the optimal model was reduced. Finally, the analysis and optimal design results were confirmed by FEA and the experimental results.
