A new transflective OCB-LCd with an in-cell compensation film in the reflective part was proposed to improve a brightness and viewing-angle performance of the low-voltage driving transflective LCds. We verified that wide viewing angle range exceeding ±80° (Cr >10:1), a high contrast ratio over 1000:1 and comparatively high luminance (normalized transmittance >0.75 andreflectance >0.65) could be achieved in both transmissive andreflective parts by optimizing design parameters of the LCd, even if the on voltage is lowered to 3.5V.

In the Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, buffer overflows often occur in the evolved Node B (eNB) when dealing with the traffic bursts from the wired part due to restricted bandwidth or environmental interferences in the wireless part. In this paper, a novel approach is proposed to protect the buffer from overflow by appropriately controlling the advertisement window to enhance the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) when the buffer becomes congested. The sender will slow down the data sending rate upon the receipt of reduced advertisement window, and hence the buffer overflow will be alleviated. To evaluate the suggested solution, a LTE network model is implemented and validated through extensive numerical experiments. It is demonstrated that the proposed approach can enhance the end to endsystem performance in terms of network throughput, average packet delay and jitter, as well as packet loss rate.

This paper presents an extension of BGP4 based on trust model. Specifically, we first establish a trust model appropriate to evaluate ASes' trust degree toward its neighbors in two ways, direct observations andrecommendations;Secondly, the trustworthiness of every AS path advertised is estimated iteratively by utilizing the trust degree of ASes;Finally, the current BGP4 is extended by adding a new attribute of AS path and modifying its decision process accordingly. The results obtained from the simulations demonstrate that the extended BGP can restrain the propagation of bogus routing efficiently.

With the development of the compressive sensing theory, the image reconstruction from the projections viewed in limited angles is one of the hot problems in the research of computed tomography technology. This paperdevelops an iterative algorithm for image reconstruction, which can fit the most cases. This method gives an image reconstruction flow with the difference image vector, which is based on the concept that the difference image vector between the reconstructed and the reference image is sparse enough. Then the l1-norm minimization method is used to reconstruct the difference vector to recover the image for flat subjects in limited angles. The algorithm has been tested with a thin planar phantom and a real object in limited-view projection data. Moreover, all the studies showed the satisfactory results in accuracy at a rather high reconstruction speed.
