Accurately analyzing and predicting driver lane-changing intentions is of paramount importance, as it significantly enhances the safety of self-driving vehicles in their decision-making processes, holding great promise for the future of intelligent transportation systems. This study extracts fundamental lane-changing characteristic parameters from the Next Generation Simulation (NGSIM) trajectory data set and employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to construct a model that elucidates the factors influencing drivers’ lane-changing intentions. Furthermore, it provides insight into how lane-changing intentions are influenced by lane-changing behavior and explores the intricate connection between intention and associated risks. The results emphasize the substantial negative impact of the longitudinal speed difference between the self-vehicle and the preceding vehicle on lane-changing intentions. Additionally, the consideration of lane-changing risk plays a pivotal role in drivers’ decisions to engage in lane-changing behavior. These findings have significant implications for a deeper comprehension of lane-changing intentions, guiding lane-changing decisions, and enhancing overall traffic safety. © ASCE.

With the development of informationization and intelligence of railway passenger stations, problems such as inconvenient information interaction, missing operation and maintenance data, and difficulty in accurate positioning of equipment under the existing equipment operation and maintenance management mode have become the focus. In this paper, the operation and maintenance management process of equipment is divided into three stages: fault prediction and warning, fault diagnosis and processing, and fault rule summary. The implementation schemes of key technologies such as data warehouse, data mining, 5G fusion positioning, and electronic fence are given to realize functions such as condition assessment, fault prediction, fault diagnosis, precise positioning, fence warning, and auxiliary decision-making, which can meet the needs of managers and operations people. With the increasingly close links between provinces and municipalities, the complexity and social connectivity of emergencies have gradually increased. How to realize the rapid and scientific dispatch of emergency resources based on the comprehensive transportation network has become a realistic need. However, due to barriers in management and communication between different administrative regions and different modes of transportation, emergency resource scheduling can only be carried out in the region, and the utilization of integrated traffic channels is insufficient to form a good multimodal transport system. The multi-agent system has strong self-organization ability, learning ability and reasoning ability, which solves problems in the fields of dynamic decision-making and micro-simulation and provides ideas for solving the problem of comprehensive traffic emergency dispatching across regions. In this paper, the multi-agent system is introduced into the research of the task assignment problem of trans-regional comprehensive traffic emergency materials dispatching, based on the traditional bidding rules, the emergency dispatch task assignment rules are proposed and multi-agent trans-regional comprehensive traffic emergency dispatching model based on improved bidding rules is established. The simulation results show that the proposed method can break the regional barrier and form a multimodal transport scheme for emergency materials from the reserve point to the demand point under the minimum generalized time cost, providing decision support for emergency dispatch. © 2020 - IOS Press and the authors. The applications of mobile communication and automatic driving-related technologies in transportation have made a revolution for us in traffic information perception, vehicle cooperative control, and traffic management. Besides, the emergence and development of connected vehicles (CV) and connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV) have gradually changed the traditional traffic flow into a mixed one. In order to investigate their influences and characteristics of mixed traffic flows, this paper constructs an analysis model to derive the linear stability condition of the mixed traffic flow with CV and CAV based on the simplified desired safety margin (SDSM) model. Several numerical experiments are conducted to analyze the string stability of homogeneous and heterogeneous traffic flow, respectively. The results reveal that the presence of CAV could contribute to improving the string stability as well as reducing rear-end crashes. The higher the penetration rate of CAV, the more stable the string. And the time delay in drivers and communications is not conducive to the string stability. Besides, it is also found that controllable vehicles show great potential in preventing shockwave formation and propagation, suggesting a new way in traffic flow management. © ASCE.

The impact of tunnels on driver performance is significant, yet it remains understudied in the context of high-speed rail. Unlike traditional railway vehicles, the particularity of tram right of way determines the multiple and diversity of its accident forms. Based on the analysis of accident data at home and abroad, this paper determines the three road right management modes with the highest accident rate. On this basis, three collision scenarios are designed between a three-module 100% low-floor tram and various types of passenger vehicles. In this paper, we innovatively use PC-Crash crash simulation combined with SPSS quantitative analysis to study the accident characteristics of tram and passenger vehicle collisions under disparate right of way. The results show that the occupant's living space is smaller in 45° side impact under the semi-independent right of way. Under the mixed right of way, when the tram is used as a rear-end vehicle, the collision interface force is more intense. At the same collision speed, the displacement of the vehicle body and the invasion of the living space will be larger under the mixed right of way. Finally, based on the simulation results and causal analysis method, an accurate and highly flexible accident cause analysis framework is formed. From the aspects of single influence and comprehensive influence, the factors affecting the safety of tram operation under diverse road right management modes are analyzed, and tailored suggestions are given to improve the safety of the track system. © 2023 SPIE.

With urban expansion and economic development, traditional industrial parks with single function cannot adapt to the pace of urban development. As a new type of industrial park, the industry-city integration has gradually become the development direction. There is no tailor-made quantitative planning scheme at this stage. Aiming at filling the gap, this research does the following work to provide quantitative guidance strategy for industrial park planning. This paper first analyzes the Transit-oriented development (TOD) model requirements of new industrial parks, and makes a detailed analysis of the interaction between land use and transportation. Secondly, based on the relationship between land use and transportation, a combined feedback model of the land planning model and the public transportation utility allocation model is established. The process of modeling is to plan the smallest land unit according to the principle of land use function combination and land use type to meet the needs of residents. The other is to plan public transportation with optimal road load according to the principle of public transportation guiding travel and maximizing travel efficiency. Notedly, this paper uses the TOPSIS method to normalize the planning score through the feedback relationship between land use planning and public transportation planning. Based the analysis, the genetic algorithm is used to optimize the planning score and obtain the best plan which provides quantitative guidance strategies for the industrial park planning. Finally, this paper selects the 'Blank Land' of Suzhou Industrial Parks for case analysis, and the best standardized score after planning is about 87 points. In order to further analyze the planning effect and the relationship between the planned area and the rest of the land, ArcGIS is used to carry out demand analysis and land use radiation range analysis of the planning scheme. Taking high-speed rail express as the research object, the research is carried out on the network operation mode of high-speed rail express. Taking the minimum cost of transportation enterprises as the optimization goal, the decision model of the network operation mode of high-speed rail express is constructed by taking the remaining capacity limit of the middle section of the high-speed rail express line network, the carrying capacity and operating cost restrictions corresponding to the high-speed rail express operating mode, and the overall transportation task limit as constraints. Taking the train operation map in the third quarter of 2021 as a reference, the decision-making model for the construction of the operation mode is verified, and the ARIMA model is used to calculate the OD of each city node in the prospect year, and the carrying capacity and operation cost of different operation modes are analyzed and calculated. The results show that: my country should adopt a high-speed rail express network operation mode combining direct transit. Transit transportation completes the collection and distribution of small batches of goods, improves the full load rate of high-speed rail freight trains, expands the scope of services, and completes long-distance transportation of large batches of goods through direct transportation, improving economies of scale. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

With the large-scale construction of China's high-speed railway network, the demand for passenger flow is growing and varies in different seasons. Therefore, refinement operational requirements are increasingly prominent. However, the passenger flow itself has time-varying characteristics, and the division of passenger flow seasons and periods is divided by manual methods and experience subjectively. As a result, it is difficult to adjust it dynamically with the passenger flow changing dynamically. There are few studies on the seasons and periods of the division about high-speed railway passenger flow at home and abroad. In this study, the seasonal and period division methods of high-speed railway passenger flow were studied, the dynamic characteristics of passenger flow were analyzed, and the annual passenger flow fluctuation was considered. Then, the high-speed railway passenger flow was divided into seasons by using the firefly affinity propagation algorithm.
