RANSACs for 3D Rigid Registration:A Comparative Evaluation

Estimating an accurate six-degree-of-freedom(6-Do F)pose from correspondences with outliers remains a critical issue to 3D rigid *** sample consensus(RANSAC)and its variants are popular solutions to this *** there have been a number of RANSAC-fashion estimators,two issues remain ***,it is unclear which estimator is more appropriate to a particular ***,the impacts of different sampling strategies,hypothesis generation methods,hypothesis evaluation metrics,and stop criteria on the overall estimators remain *** work fills these gaps by first considering six existing RANSAC-fashion methods and then proposing eight variants for a comprehensive *** objective is to thoroughly compare estimators in the RANSAC family,and evaluate the effects of each key stage on the eventual 6-Do F pose estimation *** have been carried out on four standard datasets with different application scenarios,data modalities,and *** provide us with input correspondence sets with a variety of inlier ratios,spatial distributions,and *** on the experimental results,we summarize remarkable outcomes and valuable findings,so as to give practical instructions to real-world applications,and highlight current bottlenecks and potential solutions in this research realm.

Understanding transitions in animated bar charts

Animated bar charts have gained popularity on the Internet for their ability to display historical rankings through smooth animated transitions that clearly show the rankings over time. To investigate the usage scenarios of these charts, we analyzed the pop-up comments to understand viewers’ focus. Our findings suggest that animated transitions play a key role in viewers’ perception of ranking changes. We summarized various transition methods and evaluated their impact on user perception and memory through user experiments. We also conducted a detailed analysis of each transition method’s implementation. Our research sheds light on the effectiveness of different transition strategies for animated bar charts. © The Author(s) 2023.

With the rapid development of China's economy, the development speed and scale of transportation engineering have also expanded rapidly. But the problem of environmental pollution problems have also gradually emerged, and the use of environmental protection materials has become an inevitable trend of green transportation development. This paper puts forward the traffic optimization method at five-way intersection based on green building materials and signal processing. Firstly, the green and environment protection hot-melt reflective marking paint and color asphalt concrete pavement materials are used to construct the travel space of motor vehicles, non-motor vehicles and pedestrians at five-way intersection. Then, on this basis, the phase design method based on clipping method and the corresponding signal timing method are proposed to optimize the traffic flow travel time at five-way intersection. Finally, the evaluation and analysis is done by the VISSIM traffic simulation software, the results show that this method based on green building materials effectively defines the travel space of five-way intersection. On this premise, the traffic efficiency is further improved through signal processing optimization technology, which effectively reduces the number of conflict point at the five-way intersection and provides a basis for the research on the optimal control of deformed intersections based on green building materials and signal processing. © 2022 SPIE.

Entity Linking (EL) aims to map mentions in a text to corresponding entities in a knowledge base. Existing EL methods usually rely on sufficient labeled data to achieve the best performance. However, the massive investment in data makes EL systems viable only to a limited audience. There is ample evidence that introducing entity types can provide the model prior knowledge to maintain the model performance in low-data regimes. Unfortunately, current low-data EL methods usually employ entity types by rule constraints, which are in a shallow manner. Furthermore, they usually ignore fine-grained interaction between mention and its context, resulting in insufficient semantic information of mention representation in low-data regimes. To this end, we propose a Class-Dynamic and Hierarchy-Constrained Network (CDHCN) for entity linking. Specifically, we propose a dynamic class scheme to learn a more effective representation for each entity type. Besides, we formulate a hierarchical constraint scheme to reduce the matching difficulty of the given mention and corresponding candidate entities by utilizing entity types. In addition, we propose an auxiliary task called mention position prediction (MPP) to obtain an informative mention representation in low-data regimes. Associating genes with diseases is a fundamental challenge in human health with applications of understanding disease properties and developing precision medicine. Over the past decades, biomedical articles increase explosively, which contain a great number of gene-disease associations (GDAs). Association extraction requires annotated corpus of high accuracy, but manual labeling is time consuming and labor intensive. This paper proposes a distant supervision-based method, to automatically label corpus for GDAs extraction. Compared with the manually annotated gold corpus, the automatic labeled corpus has much larger scale and better quality. It improves the performance of state-of-the-art extraction models, with AUC of 0.96, and F1 of 90%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study of automatic labeling GDAs in the field of precision medicine. We extracted GDAs using new corpora from 115,261 PubMed abstracts about 29 lung cancers, and finally discovered 296 new genes/proteins related to lung cancers. These findings indicate new directions for drug design. © 2019 IEEE.

This paper studies the full-state rendezvous control problem of multiple nonholonomic unicycle systems. A distributed state feedback time-varying control law is derived by exploiting model transformation, input-output feedback linearization technology, linear cooperation control theory and graph theory. Based on the carefully constructed output-like variable, the input-output feedback linearization approach overcomes the underactuated control challenge, makes the choice of controller parameters independent of initial states of vehicles, and allows the linear control theory applicable, rather than using the Lyapunov method and hence requiring the information flow undirected. Stability analysis proves that all the unicycle vehicles globally exponentially converge to a common fixed location and orientation, provided that the communication topology is directed and having a spanning tree. A numerical simulation is implemented for five nonholonomic unicycle vehicles, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme. © 2021, The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Riverside urban communities are the most vulnerable urban unit to flood disasters due to their characteristics of severe disaster exposure, weak resistance to risks and high requirements for emergency management. This article uses "community flood resilience" to describe its stability, recovery and adaptability in the face of flood disasters. A flood resilience indicator system of riverside communities using 18 indicators separated into 5 domains is constructed through field research and literature review. Combining expert opinions and using network analysis, the weight of each indicator is determined. Indicator data is obtained by processing remote sensing image, geographic information data and other means. The results show that disaster relief, public health management, medical facilities, etc. contribute more to flood resilience in study area;ability to reducing runoff velocity and storing water, road profiles and transportation methods are the key points to improve the resilience of the study area. The article recommends measures such as strengthening technological early warning and command, building rainwater mitigation facilities, and enhancing residents' ability and awareness of flood avoidance to minimize the loss of future flood disasters in this street. © 2022 by Aussino Academic Publishing House.
